We required to change our room since we wanted to live on the second floor. The staff there helped us change to the new room immediately.

This place was the worst hotel I've ever had any interaction with. This is what happened: I made my reservation for two rooms before my six hour drive to this hotel. Afterwards, I arrived at the hotel and waited for my turn in line. There was one worker (manager) Latasha and an IT person fixing both the computers at the front desk because she said that the computer system was double charging people. After waiting a while I said how I felt, this hotel seems pretty stinky already with the computers not working. She apparently took it way too personal because it was what she did next that caused the problem. She gave me one room and not the second one, and charged my card already for only one room. She went to her back office and then came back to the front desk and said the second room had my credit card information, my same last name but a different first name "Daniel". I said, "how can that be because I didn't put that on there"? However, it's my room I told her because all the information is correct except that first name and it's attached to the reservation with the other room. She said, "hotel policy, sorry, I can't help you." I said, "are you being serious"? Then, bothered like I was I said I'm not staying here and I pushed the pen down the counter with my fingers. She then said, "and I'm not refunding your money for the one room". I then called the police and said it's not a police issue. I had my family waiting for me, for these TWO rooms, and we were all tired after driving so many hours. I know that this horrible woman LATASHA at this Holiday Inn, went back to the back office and purposely changed this reservation and put the name "daniel" to give me trouble because she didn't like the comment I made at the beginning. I called booking.

CONTINUED - Later that night we stayed at a much better hotel which was a thousand times better called "Williamsburg Woodlands Hotel" Please DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS. They tried to steal my money and I didn't even sleep there. And that's after she put me through all this bull.. May karma come back to you Latasha for being the foolish person you are.

booking.com listed the suite we stayed in as having a spa tub. The hotel did not have a spa tub on the property in any room.

Amazing staff who made us feel so welcome! Room was exactly what we expected! Breakfast was very good and filling.

Pool was cold the first day we were there!

electronic door malfunctioned. unbelievably the hotel couldn’t get it open. finally put me in different room at about 2am -without my stuff- which was in the room no one could get into. they finally got it open around 8:30 (somehow without breaking the door down so I don’t get why they couldn’t have done whatever they did the night before!). for all of that they took a paltry 25 dollars of my bill. I will be contacting corporate headquarters on Monday. for a hotel ti bit be able to get their own room doors open is incredibly unsafe!!!
