Mayo Clinic visit

Location. Joins immediately to Mayo Clinic. I just took the elevator from my room to the lower level, and I was there. Check in was not friendly, but not complicated and they accommodated my early arrival at 2 pm. At check out luggage storage was available and was complimentary.

Lack of restaurant facilities. There are private restaurants in the building or connected to the building, but you will have to discover them on your own. Room was small but more than adequate. What does all that space matter when you are out of the room or while sleeping? They did an excellent job of updating the rooms in this classic and historic building.

Hated it.

The ONLY reason we stay at the Kahler Grand is its location to the Mayo Clinic.

The room was small. We stayed 2 nights and had to ask for more soap and towels. It seemed like no one was going to come in and freshen our room. We ran out of toilet paper.

we had a good stay for our daughter’s appts. our kids (2 and 3 years old) also really enjoyed use of the pool

front desk staff was extremely kind and knowledgeable. he was able to answer all of my questions and was very understanding. I’ve had an experience last year with a Kahler employee who was really rude and just not empathetic with Mayo patients. we had to really think hard before we booked it this time around because of our previous experience. we also liked the vicinity to Mayo.

the staff is A+. as a solo traveler the staff was extremely helpful with all my needs. Will stay here again

Mixed feelings.

Room I eventually stayed in was fine -- comfortable & quiet. Great location & access to Mayo Clinic. Late check-out greatly appreciated.

First room great distance from lobby and heating/cooling system did not work -- despite efforts of maintenance man. 2nd room on lower floor fine with different heating/cooling system. Hotel grill closed at relatively early hour in the evening, so had to walk elsewhere -- inconvenient. Tried to have lunch there following day, but service so slow & inattentive, I walked-out with no one paying any attention or explaining delayed service.

You could not get a better location if you are going to the clinic.

Nice looking room king bed, desk area, small frig, nice sized tv, not much extra space but worked well for me would also be fine for 2.

Bathroom was clean and had all you needed but did feel a little cramped.

Helpful, friendly and accommodating!

The front desk staff was extremely helpful . I’m in a wheelchair and the handicapped room was large enough to move around easily and was very clean.

Passable

Room 367 was cold and the thermostat did not regulate the temperature. The toilet "burped" occasionally and was not fixed when I told the front desk.

restaurant bar service closed at 9pm - we went to a show at Civic Center - were disappointed that there were no options. Sauna snd hot tub were also closed - another disappointment.
