As told in above spot, they literally put my life in danger then charged me for it

The girl at the front desk gave us a bottle of water for our troubles stemming from the deception & pure incompetence of the owner. A bottle of water is the best I can come up with. Pathetic

First the website said pet friendly only to be told no when we got there, then charged us a 199.00 cancellation fee because THEY lied then said we couldn't bring the cat in. Second, the room was filthy, fridge full, open bars of soap, etc. obviously never cleaned. Third, middle of the night, we get "company". They double booked the room & gave keys to another couple. Hot sheet hotel? And finally, after we left, they hit our credit card for $200 for the stay that they said they wouldn't charge because of the deception (cancelling us for cat while advertising pet friendly) & more so the DANGER they put us in by giving strangers keys to our room while we slept! We can handle this civilly, or due to illegally giving our key out, criminally. It's on you. Do better.

What a dump I would be embarrassed if I was wydnham to own this place

thin prison mattresses very uncomfortable disgusting dirty hallways and carpet. Freezing cold supposedly heated indoor pool. Pay $93 for a crappy hotel room and thin azz m attresses that hurt like hell to sleep on..

This is not up to Wingate Standards!

The biggest plus to this hotel was it's access to the interstate. Breakfast was very blah. At least they could offer a dark roast coffee.

Where do I start? This is a old Sleep Inn with a Wingate sign draped over it. It is in sad shape and very bad advertising for Wyndham. I have never stayed at a hotel even close to this bad under the Wyndham banner. The shower was unuseable for dirt and just looking gross. There was food in the fridge left by the last guest. the hallways smell of a musty old place and the carpets are torn and filthy. This is me being kind trust me. Don't stay here!!!!

Smelled of mold.. wouldn't stay again

The rooms smelled so badly of mold. Even switched rooms & it smelled just as bad. My throat was itching & burning by the morning from smelling mold all night. Felt very dangerous for my baby...

Was expecting a more update place. The Windgate had a lot of age and use as well as abuse.

Covenant to place of reunion. Plenty of room in room.

The bath area. Only a tub, husband could not get in the tub to take a shower.

It was aweful. The woman behind the counter was doing the best she could, her replacement was late.

The sausage was good, but no eggs or orange juice or milk. That was the only thing I liked. They are changing from a Sleep Inn to a Windam so it wasn't marked and it was hard to find. The room was booked as non-smoking. I am allergic to smoke. The room was cloudy with smoke. They had no other rooms. There was one used towel hanging in the restroom and the door was blocked open with the fan going in the restroom. I live on a high-protein diet. The breakfast was gravy and biscuits with sausage on the side.

What would make it better? A clean non-smoking room with clean towels. Hot water and coffee in the lobby, as well as hot coco mix and milk. Some form of egg with breakfast even if it was boiled.

I would stay here again for the price.

Location right off the highway was perfect for 1 night while traveling. The fee of $20 for my pups was ok. Breakfast was ok. Sausage was cold. Real eggs would have been nice.

The magnetic door on the side of the hall wasn't working. The grass was 3 feet high and there really wasn't a place to walk my pups. Other than in that or the parking lot. There were people cooking with a charcoal grill in the parking lot. That was a little low class, made me wonder what kind if a hotel we were staying at. Was it secure. There seemed to be a lot of locals in the pool with kids although the front desk told me they charge a $100 deposit for locals but if they get their money back then I guess there's no reason for them not to go and enjoy the pool. If it were just a charge of $100 I bet the riftraff would stop. We couldn't even get in the pool with so much going on. Overall for 1 night it was ok. The price was good. And having my pups with me is always a plus.

Staff was excellent!

Considering changes from Sleep Inn to Wingate, the Staff was excellent!! Hoping for a discounted offer to stay once the change from Sleep Inn Wingate At Wyndom is complete : )

Housekeeping - was short staffed - cleaning could have been a bit better - but again, being short staffed, they did what they could.

That staff members were very friendly and professional.

The room was very DIRTY. We arrived so late we didn’t turn many lights on upon arrival because the kiddos were sleeping. in the morning we saw everything and were really disturbed that we slept there.

There is NO WAY our room had a finished cleaning. toilet dirty, something in the sheets, trash on the bathroom floor, no facial tissue in the dispenser, tub dirty and mold growing.

Great staff and breakfast. We stayed 3 nights. Rooms not clean with mold and musty smell.

Beautiful area. Great breakfast. Staff was wonderful.

The other reviews are correct. Black mold in the bathroom and on the reeking, musty shower curtain. Melted soap on bathtub. Dirty microwave. Food in the freezer. Floors not vacuumed. AC not working.

This hotel needs a major renovation!

The breakfast was the best thing about the stay - nice selection of fruit, biscuits and gravy, sausage, yogurt, pastries and make your own waffles. The room size was nice - 2 beds and a couch. The pool was nice but could have been a little warmer - the water was quite chilly!

The room was disgusting - smelled like cat. We later found an old cat carrier in the closet (Gross). There was crud on the walls and dirty bedspread. Only one working light in bathroom and the ceiling fan (that was hanging down) made a horrible squealing sound when you turned on the light. The air conditioner didn't work properly and we found garbage behind the fridge when we went to plug it in.

We loved the hot breakfast, the indoor pool it was clean and a very great stay!! A big shout out to Linda, our 4 year old just fell in love with her every time we would go through the lobby she would always look for her she is definitely amazing and just a all around amazing woman!!
