Business in Belleville

The front desk person was pleasant. The room was comfortable. There were dishes and pots to heat things up. The refrigerator worked well. The bed was comfortable. They did allow pets.

Although there was a refrigerator in the room there was no ice maker in the building. It was not enough if you needed to fill up a cooler. There were no vending machines. There was no breakfast.

Staff was helpful

Called the hotel several times, the automated service told me it didn't accept international Calls and hung up on me. Then I called the number off candlewood suits website and it transferred me to a international answer service.

Modern reasonable hotel that’s nicer than the others in town for a less money

rooms are exceptionally clean and fully stocked with anything you might need

Front desk staff was friendly.

I did not appreciate the leftover food that was in the refrigerator from a previous guest. Housekeeping should make sure it is clean / items removed... the food was starting to smell bad.

Overall enjoyable but no smoking rooms at this location.

Room was quiet and clean. Front desk staff was pleasant. Having a kitchen was very convenient. Fairly priced with free Wi-Fi and close to St Louis.

Wrong room types are listed on Booking.com and need to be updated by hotel management; there are no smoking rooms at this location. Beds are very, very firm. Icemaker takes several hours to produce a decent amount.

Exceptional

Courteous staff and wonderful amenities in the rooms. I especially like the included shower products, much higher quality than other hotels I've stayed at in the same price range. A lovely experience.

A good value, not up to par with our other Candlewood stays. Decent price for the location.

The hotel was okay, overall. The rooms were cleaned well, the bathroom was very nice. Overall the hotel was a good stay - just a few things that kept it from being a great stay. Would recommend it for older travelers.

The previous Candlewood suite we stayed at had absolutely wonderful mattresses. The breakfast area was nice and typical for this class of hotel. Disappointed in the breakfast - nothing stood out except there was a very limited, high-fat/calorie choice of foodstuffs. The stay was good - just not what we had experienced at previous Candlewood suites.

Under construction

Location, staff, room okay- but outside was dark, a party in parking lot and no room to park as it was under construction. Front desk was a card table, scaffolds and tape on fire alarms. Place should of been closed!

Could never get through to Booking.com for complaint.

I pre-paid with Booking.com but was also billed through my credit card by Candlewood. I called them twice to see if we could straighten out but was told a manager would take care of it. NEVER HAPPEN! Now being worked with my credit provider.
