The location was beautiful and the outdoor area was one of the nicest looking ones with the most seating in the entire beach strip.

It wasn’t very clean, and we had several problems during our stay. No toilet paper in our room when we arrived, and I of course had to use the bathroom after a 2 hour drive. Luckily I had a friend with me to go to the front desk while I was stuck on the toilet. Sliding glass door to the outdoor balcony did not lock (lock was broken and we were ground level) then we asked for a pole to put in the door so it would essentially lock, they said they would send somebody to our room and they never did. Luckily we found a solution for this problem ourselves. Our front door to our room was extremely warped and didn’t close unless you physically forced it shut, making it very easy for the door to not latch and lock. Room above us flooded their bathroom and it poured down through the ceiling into our bathroom. Called the staff to look at it, they said they would change the ceiling tiles the following day, but they didn’t clean up the mess or even offer us extra towels to do so ourselves. We had to go back to the front desk a second time to ask for help cleaning up the mess which was uncomfortable and awkward. Lastly, I overheard other guests saying they were part of a 60 person family reunion. Nice for the family and all, but I’m not sure why the inn would allow such a large party at a place where your average person is trying to vacation. Both nights of my stay, they let their children run and scream up and down the hallway past my room until well past midnight, making it very difficult to sleep. They also crowded the entire outdoor patio for themselves, while playing loud music, drinking heavily, and scream-talking while very drunk until well past midnight. I understand that the staff cannot necessarily control everyone’s actions, but they never once addressed the noise that this party was making, or how late they were up making said noise.

The bed was fine. That was the most positive thing I can say about the property.

Pictures online do not paint an accurate picture. This hotel and beach was crammed with people. Old dirty bathrooms. No house keeping in the room. You throw towels outside of the door when done. The staff was very unfriendly and the whole experience was unpleasant. I'm very disappointed with booking.com and The Pleasant View Inn.

It’s right off the beach. Can’t beat that!

My bed was a little harder than I’d like, and the door on the ground level didn’t have a lock - only had a block of wood to keep the door secure. But other than that it’s a good place. I still recommend it.
