This hotel needs major overhaul and updating of rooms - to include new carpet and overall appearance

While Booking.com has this rated 8.5 I would give it a 7. Conference rooms may be nice - but hotel rooms are another issue. This place needs major updating.

Our room was drab, akin to a Motel 6 - not a conference center, the carpet was not clean or up to snuff, the hairdryer started smoking and overheating upon use. When asked if we could fix the hairdryer situation, the staff said we'd have to see if they could call maintenance to help. When I explained I was standing with wet hair and had to be somewhere - urgency didn't seem to matter. After the hairdryer experience, and the overall terrible room, we decided to check out and go to another hotel. While this hotel is rated an 8.5 - I would rate this a 7. Booking .com was very understanding and helped to intervene. The hotel management called us after checking out - we appreciate their understanding - and for comping us the one-night stay. It is upper management that needs to completely update this hotel.

Very nice for a short stay

N/a.. no breakfast. The hotel is very nice; warm fire was roaring in the lobby. The shuttle driver was very nice to drive me to the airport so I could rent a car. The restaurant was handy, food was very good for an early dinner and watching football. Restaurant staff was very nice. They have a cute little gift shop with Penn State gear and snacks. The room was basic but warm and clean. Hotel was quiet. The pool is very nice; I did not use the exercise room. I out dstay here again, just know that the airport shuttle doesn’t leave until 7:00 am.

The reason I booked this hotel was because they advertise an airport shuttle.. come to find out they don’t start the shuttle until 7:00 am.. so since I was leaving for the airport at 4:00am there was no way to get there.. so I ended up going to the airport and renting a car for the night so I could get to the airport. This was very disappointing.

The hotel was clean, it was pretty, staff was very nice, but the pillows were so uncomfortable so I did not sleep great.

We enjoyed experiencing the Penn State vibe in a lovely location with comfortable accommodations and Hugh quality dining

The bed was the worse I've ever slept on in all my travels. Very hard and uncomfortable.

We'll be back.

The room was spacious, the bathroom was clean, the staff members were friendly, and the pool was decent. Could stand to be vacuumed and the filter on the water filling station needed to be changed (per the indicator) but overall it was a good stay.

The beds are small and the mattress on one bed sunk in toward the middle pretty severely. We had kids in that bed and they weren't terribly comfortable but I'd imagine an adult would have been miserable.

Great value for a lovely facility. The staff was wonderful, the rooms were very clean, food was excellent.
