A bit to elaborate aND expensive to walk the beach looking foe whales

The breakfaxt surpassed all expectations . It fueled me for a day walking the Race Point Sands !!!

All "Historic" hotels are vaguely uncomfortable . We have been spoiled we modern people

fire place in room didn’t work and you couldn’t get a massage because it wasn’t open which was frustrating it’s a spa hotel and they don’t tell you that when you book.

Serious upgrades needed to justify prices charged.

Looks nice from the outside, great location and easy nearby parking and super breakfast.

Bedroom tiny, AC really noisy, grumpy guy on reception more worried about his (or is it ?) nail varnish than welcoming his (or is it ?) tired guests.

The hotel presented itself as being more higher end than it proved itself to be, esp. for the price.

Great location, very convenient and walkable. nice views. The room was pleasant with a nice jacuzzi tub.

the toilet was broken on arrival. The evening desk staff were less attentive about this when notified during the evening dinner time. The room was upstairs from a well-trafficked outside door with a strong automatic close that sounded like repeated slamming through the walls. the cooked breakfasts were meager and sometimes not cooked according to order. no water was provided in the room. when I asked for water at the front desk I was given two bottles of high-end still water from the dining room rather than ordinary bottled/canned/boxed water. The outdoor dining patio was great views but the setting was ruined (on a Sunday morning, no less) by pop music piped over outdoor speakers.

Great stay. Super friendly staff. Nice old historic building. Large room and modern bathroom

Chef cooks breakfast to order. Good selection of coffee/tea/muffins/Greek yoghurt/OJ. Etc Location is a five minute walk from middle of town. Wine and cheese get together for all guests at 5 pm

Parking is about a block away

The wine hour was a lot of fun. Met some nice people during it. Being able to walk right into town was great!

Staffing could’ve been a bit nicer and pleasant. There were times I felt like I was a bother to them.
