A beautiful spot with great food, but needs some TLC.
The location is lovely, right on the river. The food at the restaurant was excellent, despite service issues mentioned below. The room was big, but only had Venetian blinds so not great for sleeping after sunrise.
Our room was right underneath the bathroom for the restaurant/bar, and until 1am we were woken every time someone used the bathroom. There was a used bandaid in the shower and the coffee pot hadn’t been emptied. The customer service at the restaurant was terrible. The main lady who checked us in couldn’t take my dinner order as she “had to go”, but then stood there cashing out her till for 15 minutes while I waited with my daughter. Her replacement couldn’t use the system until she was done, so she went off to serve drinks! Another woman waited (completely ignored) with a question about true food she had collected. It would have taken 2 minutes for the waitress to take our order before cashing out, or written it down for the kitchen and we pay later when the till was ready, rather than us just standing there for 20mins.

Overpriced, wouldn't stay again
I had a river view and the view was amazing. Opened the window and I could hear the rushing waves and water. I don't know if I had neighbors, but I didn't hear anything.
It shouldn't take 20 minutes to check in but it did. No credit card reader, had to input manually and by her own admission, she needed glasses and had a difficult time reading the card. Took about 5 tries to code my room key. Would have appreciated a comment indicating that your room key can also be used at the entrance of the inn where a key is also required. Haven't seen a tv that small in a very long time. Room was NOT worth the all in $280 price.

Good
Strawberry Inn is just 5-10 minutes drive from the Dodge Ridge ski resort, so that is the closes accommodation there is. The exterior and exterior of the hotel and bar are all very authentic, the stuff and the local crowd at the bar are always friendly
On Friday and Saturday nights, local crowds are partying at the bar well past midnight, while their kids are running around the hotel yelling and playing some kind of war games. You might want to be a part of it, because if you are not... well, you are not getting any sleep anyway ) Also, beware of the slow breakfast service. We had to wait for our order for almost an hour and barely made it to our morning ski lessons at Dodge Ridge. If you have any kind of a time limit, stay away from Strawberry Inn kitchen in the morning )

Bad
Wasn't able to go. Our reservation was canceled while we're driving on our way to the hotel.
The way it was handled. It was like they canceled our reservation without even considering that we're on our way. It felt like they don't even cared. Drove 3 hours just to drive back again after..
