close to downtown historic area and great restaurants, very comfortable and welcoming atmosphere and host. even the cats are charming.

Superb

Loved the owner knew much of the history of the house and the surrounding area, other buildings. The breakfast was wonderful. I can't remember what he said it was, but my mother and I really enjoyed it.

It was a very interesting, historical home and quite close to a wonderful fine dining restaurant.

The breakfast was delicious. Location was great could walk to most areas.

The views of the Mississippi River were not quite as good as we were anticipating, but it really was a nice location.

unique stay in a beautiful home!

Lots of character and comfortable bed. Very friendly cat, close to restaurants.

The shared bathroom was no problem as we were the only guests , but otherwise might be awkward sharing with strangers!

Terrible experience 😩

We can not say anything good about this property as although we were charged the full amount to stay here there was no one to greet us when we arrived at 4.10pm. We had driven over 8 hours and could not call them due to our phone coverage we organised when we arrived from Australia. He did not respond to messages and the sign of under reconstruction and the cobwebs and cats everywhere gave us the impression that there was no accommodation available. We have asked to be refunded but this has been denied. We wouldn’t want this to happen to anyone else booking this accommodation.

Communication, cobwebs, cats!!! Paying for accommodation and not receiving any!!

Great! Homecooked and original.

Sleep interrupted by temperature changes in the room. Too hot, then too cold. Is an old house, and not much can be done about that. Harassment from a friendly cat interrupted sleep. The house is charming and the proprietor tries very hard and is mostly successful as a host. The cat is a charmer, too.

Our host was incredibly relaxed, knowledgeable about the area and an amazing chef. He clearly has a passion for what he does.

I dont remember reading about the resident cats when looking for reservations. All were superfriendly and clean. However I am allergic to cats.

Beautiful victorian house very close to downtown

I think the breakfast and the restaurant a short walk away were excellent, and the location was great for doing events in town, will definitely visit again.

True southern hospitality.

We were greeted at check in with true southern hospitality. Martha at the front desk is friendly and extremely helpful. She is a real gem. Our room was comfortable and clean. Parking was easy and convenient. It was easy to find and an quick exit off the highway.

The bathroom was pretty small and rather awkward.

Good time worth a short visit

Chris is a wonderful cook and the breakfast each day was delicious. The house is very authentic and the conversations were very interesting. Listed as one of the most haunted places in the United States, can be a pro for some a con for others, no experiences by our family. Secure area within walking distance to the main shopping area.

One word of warning I did not note in the initial reading of the BNB description that they do have several cats running around the house, this was not an issue to us as we love cats but, could be an issue for allergy sufferers.

Cece, one of the cats, brought us her toy fish and spent the night with us. Adorable.

Everything was perfect! Chris the owner has a beautiful place, is a great conversationalist, and an excellent chef. Everything was above and beyond expectations. Also, the cats and ghosts were an added bonus.

The breakfast was hot, tasty and served on time. The location was excellent with a great restaurant 2 houses down.

The perfect last night of a two-week road trip vacation.

Stepping into the house was like stepping back in time. Our host gave us a tour of the property, made sure we were settled in. Had a great night sleep and a delicious breakfast the next morning with lots of cool stories about the house, the town, and the awesome restaurant a couple doors down.

The B & B was very cluttered. In our room we couldn't even open the closet because of a chair placed in the way. There should be a warning that there are cats on the property for people that have allergies.

Exceptional

Perfectly located within a short walking distance to the charming Hannibal downtown. The Garden House BnB was perfect for my stay. Super comfortable and cozy. Chris was an awesome host, fun lively chat during breakfast (which was delicious). Speaking of food, definitely try La Binnah Bistro just a couple houses down, amazing! Added bonus, the sweet, playful cat hostesses.

Awesome hosting and unique atmosphere

This is a lovely Victorian house with authentic furniture and vintage bric-a-brac. Huge windows, wood stairs, and very comfortable mattresses. Quiet, nostalgic place. The hosting was amazing. We arrived at Hannibal on Thanksgiving Day when all restaurants and cafes were closed and our host Chris was so kind and careful that served an additional meal for us. We are very thankful!

We didn't have access to the kitchen (due to health regulations).

My expectations were very low, and they were not met.

Property is past its sell-by date. Old, Rickety, creaky, smelly, dusty. Great for family- The Addams Family.

Bathroom facilities, breakfast, house out of plum, floors are seriously slanted.

Very good

The history and character of the home. Chris was a great host new a lot of the town history. Food was awesome.

Front steps were a little tricky when caring luggage and my age. Not a fan of shearing a bathroom, but not a deal breaker.

I had a lovely stay. Host was fantastic, place was historic, blocks away from the beautiful river. Will stay here Everytime I am in area, no questions.

Interesting!

The B&B was really rather neat. It is in the process of being restored so the old woodwork, period furniture, and such was really neat to see. Enjoyed the pictures of the original owners being shown.

We didn't start off on the right foot but it turned out ok.
