Quaint, charming in right next to Smith with delightful features and a welcoming atmosphere.

Comfortable and convenient. Appreciated that my kitty could stay with me. Tasty breakfast before heading on the road again. Also there late night check-in was very easy for a tired traveler, and their communication was excellent throughout booking and checking in - get an A+ for responsiveness!!

Noise from other rooms can be audible and from the second floor if someone’s thumping around particularly heavily.

Expensive and smelly

Quiet accommodations convenient to town but not walkable.

The hotel smells musty and the oil diffusers in the halls aren’t a reasonable solution.

Not a place to stay.

Didn't have breakfast because I checked out within an hour of checking in

This is not a Hotel,; it's a MOTEL. Our room was across from the garbage bins. The television did not work and no one on the staff could fix it. We decided to leave and stay somewhere else. There are beautiful, historic hotels in Northampton for the same or lower price.

A lovely little quaint hotel in a convenient location.

Overall it is a good stay.

We are here for campus visit to Smith College. The hotel is super close to the school and you can literally walk there. The staff is nice. Another perk, the hotel offers free snack which is good for late night movie time.

It is cottage style motel. The bathroom is a little small.

I went for a solo trip to rest and recharge which is exactly what I got! Comfy room, within a mile of stores, shops and

proximity to town, cleanliness, friendly staff, the fireplace (especially as we had a winter storm Friday into Saturday) and continental breakfast

Great location outside Smith College.

The bed was comfortable. The facility was very clean. Ample parking. Staff was professional and helpful.

The pillows were awful. I would recommend that anyone traveling to bring their own if possible.

Nice location and pretty hotel but I couldn’t sleep well

I could not sleep well. The room was too bright — blinking lights, bathroom nightlight I couldn’t turn off, I had to stick a towel under the door to block the hall light. I could also hear a lot of noise from the neighboring room through the door adjoining the rooms.

it felt like they were trying to fix it up but don’t have the money to make it nicer. I think Covid might have hurt the

it is very convenient . The public spaces were nice. Good coffee and the staff were nice.

My room was clean but the furniture was well worn and uncomfortable. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were lumpy and they were all king size. It needs some TLC.

This is a hidden gem that just needs a little help.

Great space, very comfortable, like a Hidden gym.

When I checked in the lady was lovely, in the morning the lady was not friendly and the bagels were hard as a rock.

Great stay in Northampton

We needed a nice place to break up a drive to see family. The Ellery was the perfect place to go after a hike around Skinner State Park and some time exploring Northampton. Really clean and close to center. Nice common area and friendly staff.

Not a big deal, but wifi didn’t reach rooms farthest from main house.

The staff is the biggest plus, here!

The location was perfect; the staff (ALL of them) go out of their way to welcome and help; the rooms are clean and the bathrooms we used appeared recently furbished. We did like the quality of the shower/soap products, etc. There is more privacy in the car-accessible individual rooms and that can be a plus.

We were expecting a hotel, but it's really a hybrid-motel but with a lively and comfortable central reception/seating/dining area. Breakfast was so-so -- very good yogurt, excellent tea/coffee options, but no fruit.

Parking availability and location. Staff assisted with my bag at arrival.

Poor lighting, no comfortable chair in room, pillows were like rocks, internet didnt work, could open earlier for breakfast, no cold drinks available other than water, room was never cleaned in 3 day stay, noise from upstairs rooms.

Nice but improvable

The room was very nice. The complimentary breakfast had, beyond the usual items (bread/bagels, butter, cream cheese, coffee/tea), yogurts and smoothies.

The wifi in the room was very weak and, given how much people rely on the internet nowadays, definitely insufficient. The location is good, near the beautiful grounds of Smith College, but still a substantial walk to the center of town. Overall, in comparison to other hotels that we have stayed at during this trip, the price was too high for the service and commodities offered.
