Beautiful spot to relax in.

We had a great stay and enjoyed having such a large space and kitchen to make breakfast and lunches in so we could be out for the day. It also had a geocache on site to find.

Wonderful Surprise

What a diamond in the rough! Had the entire "mother-in-law" house with huge bed, full kitchen, big screen TV, full sized fridge w ice ready, hot tub and garden on property is very quaint and relaxing. Staff extra friendly and left a nice note. Safe and secure setting for a wonderful stay.

Might not be for the disabled as stairs must be navigated.

Lovely place to stay. Will recommend to friends.

The location was wonderful. Located on a street with no exit so absolutely no traffic. The room we stayed in (Evening Veranda) was perfect. Very clean. Had a kitchen that worked perfectly for our stay of 4 nights. Host was great! We spent two evenings in the fire pit area. Very relaxing. Everything about the stay was excellent.

Beautiful and serene!

This place was so relaxing and yard and the room was awesome! Wish we would have stayed here longer than just one night. I will come back to this place and would recommend this to everyone!

Quiet, wonderful, and exceeded expectations

This place is as top notch as you can get. The atmosphere, quality of each room, and Randy being a wonderful host, always exceeds expectations. I chose this location as a last minute getaway, and there happened to be a suite available. You won’t be disappointed if you try this place out, whether you are a solo traveler, or with your significant other.

Very good

Loved the wooden walls ( just like our log home!), great water pressure and hot water! Loved the open space of the room and parking was easy. Great for our one night get away.

The train horns can be loud, but they can be heard for miles……..

Spacious peaceful comfort.

Beautiful grounds. Very spacious room. Bed was COMFORTABLE, unlike so many other places.

I have some mobility issues. Stairs on grounds and to room was difficult. No elevator. For others that have healthy joints, probably not a problem.

It was relaxing

Cozy, clean, beautifully landscaped, quiet neighborhood.

Price was a little more than expected but we were ok with it because we were celebrating our 35th anniversary.

Discover the Gem

We were just looking for a bed for the night en route to Chicago but chanced upon this little gem. At the end of an unremarkable street in Marquette, Randy has built a little paradise. Exquisitely decorated rustic rooms with BBQ pit. Beautiful fishpond. Host of bird life. And a deer and her fawn grazed peaceably just 50 yards from our window. And strong WiFi. Visit fascinating Prairie du Chien just 5 minutes across the Mississipi and into Wisconsin. Take a gentle hike around Effigy Mounds National Park.

Loved it. I would have enjoyed a short visit with the proprietors. it would have been fun to visit about the fish pond.

quiet, except for trains. Trains didn’t bother me. loved the fish, birds, pet deer, gardens, neighborhood.

Stairs up to room. For my friend it was dangerous. We would request the least climb to a room next time.

This place is outstanding. Comfortable- QUIET- great location - private - I particularly love that kids are not accommodated here.

Really, there’s nothing I didn’t like but offering up some breakfast items would make it even better!

Other than the late night trains the stay was wonderful.

There was no breakfast offered. Very peaceful most of the time with bird song and a great view of the mountains.

Excellent property with outdoor areas to enjoy nature.

Our room had comfortable seating and bed. We enjoyed the backyard's firepit area to watch the variety of birds coming to the feeders placed around the property and the koi pond. Excellent jumping off point to Effigy Mounds National Park and Pike's Peak State Park.
