Charming stay.
Very cool old building. Beautiful area, clean and quiet. Close to Tanglewood and other Berkshire places. Great breakfast provided at a place a mile or so away. After initial meeting the staff was helpful and friendly.
Although furniture kept with the period of the house nicely, the mattresses were older and not super comfortable the couch was worn, etc. it would be good for them to put on their website that if you are staying there you need to make a reservation for dinner if you want to eat there. It was fine for us, and lovely because historic and charming, but if you are challenged with mobility it would not be a good place to stay as stairs were steep and floors were not level.

Pleasant
This property might be better during peak season but showing up off-season there were no real amenities available in the inn itself. There was a full bar and evidence of dinner service but nothing was available during our stay. Breakfast was included but was over a mile away at a small country store. The store was cool and the food there good but it would have been good to know that when we booked. I would not book this property again off season.

Breakfast was great at the Greenfield Store. Delicious offerings, really good coffee, fun and cozy environment. Probably the highlight of the stay. The Inn itself is beautiful and charming with a great deal of character. The decor is beautiful and you feel like you are stepping back in time in many ways - we enjoyed the historic aspect of the Inn which was originally built in 1760. It's location is isolated and quaint, but still close enough to Great Barrington, Lee, and Lenox to have access to shopping, great food. Restaurant for dinner is very good, though expensive. There are also beautiful hikes and trails in the area, including a couple that don't require you to get in a car.
The Inn itself has no amenities - we didn't see anyone who works there unless it's a night when the restaurant is open. If you want the basics like a cup of coffee, or a bottle of water, etc - there are no coffee makers or espresso machines to be found or even a vending machine for water. If you want a drink, you have to order from the restaurant which is closed on Mon and Tues night. You pretty much have to pack everything in that you may need or go out and buy it somewhere. There are no refrigerators to store your food - which when there is no access to food elsehwere on the site is an inconvenience. The mattress was old and uncomfortable. The heat was very difficult to balance in the room - which is not surprising given the radiator based heating in an old building, but still not ideal.

Great ttime
The food at the Inn was wonderful. Waiter excellent.
The Stairs are most uncomfortable to climb and are probably dangerous. There was no heat in our room 192

Lovely stay in Historic Property
The building and rooms are filled with charm and character. The bathroom was large and the claw foot tub was wonderful. We swam in the pool in the back of the property which was still open and loved the peace and quiet and the setting.
I think the rooms are too expensive. Nearly $400 for one night. It makes no sense.

An introspective trip
Beautiful grounds and building, remote location. We arrived late in the evening and notified the staff ahead of time, but traffic delayed our arrival. I did not have service on my phone in the area, so I was unable to update them of our later time of arrival. Appreciate them waiting up for us. The WiFi at the cottage did not work, and we often had to go to the main building to use the WiFi. The cable was also finicky. It was an opportunity for introspection. Loved the bath as well.
While at the main building trying to get WiFi and service to navigate around the area, we sat at the bar. It was usually around dinner service (5 pm). We were offered service and coffee on one occasion which was lovely, but on all other instances it felt like were pretty unwelcome by the staff. Maybe because of the fully booked dinner reservations, but could be a little nicer to your hotel guests.
