I would definitely go back! Overall very nice.

Excellent location close to the beach! Close to some shops and restaurants. Friendly check in staff. Overall a great place to stay.

Overall they keep the place clean but the shower looked a little scary to me, but you can tell it’s just old not that they don’t clean it. “Sea view” was pretty minimal but technically you could see the ocean from one window lol A bit pricey, but what isn’t these days…

Great location, close walk to everything you need and fist

Location was fantastic. Safe area. Close to great breakfast places, local yolk was delicious and Spoony’s for dinner. Close to Manhattan Beach area as well.

Excellent location and staff, would stay there again in a heartbeat!

The staff was super helpful and friendly. The beach towels and chairs were excellent. The location cannot be beat.

Great location, front desk guy was awesome! Very friendly and accommodating! Loved our view 😍 The surrounding area was beautiful and loved that we could walk down to the beach, restaurants and shops! Perfect area for us to stay for a few days and not have to rent a car as well as being so close to the airport which was why we chose the area and hotel. Loved that there was a small fridge and microwave

Not overly clean, dated and in need of a paint job just to freshen it up a bit….. would help it appear cleaner I think as our room paint was chipped and dingy which added to the overall unclean/dated appearance. Price point was crazy but understandable given the location. Rooms looked much nicer/ more updated and clean online then what we received and beds were not very comfortable. Sheets did not stay on the bed which drove me crazy as I was constantly having to fix them through the night so as not to be laying on the bare mattress 🥴 Blankets were very thin , there were extras in the closet but also thin and I hate to say it but looked like they came from the thrift store

The staff and location made it a great stay, but the decor of the room really let it down which was such a shame.

Location amazing and staff brilliant

The room was really tired and had a damp smell. I was only there as a layover but I had booked as a treat for myself and it had stains on the carpet and damaged walls, it was quite disappointing. However I only used it to sleep, it was super clean and shower pressure amazing. Staff are fantastic which is why I didn’t make a complaint. I would not return unless the rooms were redecorated because I could get a much more modern room in same area with breakfast for the price I paid. If they charged less I would stay again.

We will not stay at this hotel again.

The location close to the promenade and the beach was great. The mattress was comfortable.

The room was very small with cheap, old furnishings. The lock on the door was in very bad shape. There was no luggage rack to keep a suitcase open and very limited drawer space in which to unpack. There was only one uncomfortable chair to sit on in the room and the small plastic chairs on the balcony were uncomfortable as well. There was no space in the bathroom for a toiletry bag, and the towels were very, very thin . . . impossible to use more than once. The accessories provided were very cheap; e.g., plastic glasses, paper cups, ketchup packet-sized containers of shampoo, conditioner, and lotion, and soap that melted quickly into mush. In sum, not even close to what one expects for the price paid.

The blinds were broken and I had to “rig” them for privacy. We are used to thicker towels

Glad we chose the sea view, loved it.

Great spot! Location is perfect for the price, lots of diners and shops on the same road and in short walking distance. Beach is also just a couple blocks away! Staff are awesome, and they have lots of beach gear you can use for free including free bike rentals.

The experience was amazing I wish I could’ve stayed longer

The location was nice even while it was raining,and the staff where very professional..I give sea view inn at the beach 100/100 percent.

free breakfast or breakfast coupons would be nice and the room I stayed in the blinds where broken but nothing was unbearable.

Amazing location, book the ocean view room!

The location of the Sea View Inn can't be beat. Plenty of food and some shopping options nearby, very walkable, attentive staff. We did not take advantage of housekeeping during our stay but when we needed more accoutrements for coffee the response was swift. I was concerned about the firmness of the bed at first but it was very comfortable and provided a restful nights sleep. The pool was heated, which we didn't know about upon checking in (my boyfriend got brave one evening when we were headed back to the room). The coffee they provided was really good, although the small coffee maker only made one cup at a time - it did the job. Our morning routine consisted of having coffee on our balcony, walking down for more coffee, then heading down to the beach to watch the surfers. We are east-coasters so we were up very early every morning. I saved the best for last - do yourself a favor and book the ocean view room. We had unobstructed views from Malibu to Palos Verdes, including Catalina Island. There is nothing like waking up to views of the Pacific Ocean and the mountains! We look forward to staying again when we visit family in the area.

I'm a details person, which can be a blessing and a curse. I think the Sea View Inn could benefit from some basic repairs/deferred maintenance. It is a smidge outdated but I suspect they have no problem fully booking up during season in spite of this. Small details: of the 4 bulbs in our bathroom above the mirrror, only one worked. The blinds on the sliding glass doors were pretty busted up (probably due to wear and being made of plastic). We found a few bobby pins on the floor which made us think that perhaps the room had not been vacuumed. Lastly, it would have been nice to know that the pool was heated so we could take advantage of that, but maybe they didn't want us to. Nothing earth-shattering and we did not tell anyone at the property because this was a short trip and we just didn't have the time. None of this impacted our stay negatively either so it didn't really made sense to make a big deal out of it.

So Over-priced!

Great location. Friendly staff. Very Clean.

Requested a room upstairs. Instead got a room on the street with absolutely no view. This has happened the last 3 times, so time to look for a different place next time. Staff apologized and suggested I call directly for the room.. Room was amazingly tiny. Unbelievable coffee arrangement: Styrofoam cup, Cheep coffee maker to warm the water into the cup. And only instant coffee. All this for around $250/nt!

Not much sleep due to noise and an uncomfortable bed. Not worth the money.

The view from the deck is amazing and the person who checked us in was helpful and nice. There is a parking lot where you can park your car.

The beds were both very uncomfortable and squeaky. There was one AC unit in the apartment, but not in the main bedroom. As this apartment is adjacent to the street, it was very loud and we couldn't close the windows as it was too hot. The area in front of the apartment is under construction and you have to either walk through the sand to get to it or go out of your way to get to the door. This unit is very expensive for what it is; a very old building. It needs a little more than paint and cute throw pillows. Plus, paying an extra $20 for parking wasn't great.

Exceptional

We loved this place! ❤️ The location is awesome, so close to the beach! We had to switch to a lower level room after I over did it at the beach, and it was no problem! The staff was super friendly and helpful, they really made our trip so much more enjoyable. The best thing though, is that the beds are comfortable. I was able wake up refreshed each morning after playing hard each day. It really makes all the difference. I highly recommend, our family will be coming back.

needs some TLC upgrade bathrooms, blinds for windows were beat up. awkward parking and way to get to room had to walk up slight hill no safe railing. uncomfortable beds.
