Ok but not great

The management was very friendly & accommodating. It was close to many restaurants, shopping & activities.

It was very old. The towels & linens need to be refreshed & in white so they can be bleached. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. Old heating & air conditioner. Retro for sure but not modern at all. Could stand for more cleaning.

Great location, pool was nice. Beach buggy was awesome option if you don’t wanna drive/park/pay $30. Owners were very relaxed and helpful. Coffee station in the am. Fridge and microwave in room

Noisy rooms made it hard to sleep. Water pressure was abysmal at times probably when a lot of other people were showering.

Grounds very nice, temps too cold to use pool.

Bathroom door coming apart, tiny sink has faucet on left side, awkward. Not much room to use toilet. Needs caulking on floor edge next to tub. Water temp gets very hot.

Cozy comfortable stay

check in was super easy and the decor of the room was adorable. very cozy and perfectly stocked with everything you need. really appreciated the kitchen and the renovated garden.

The room was cute, freshly decorated and the added throw blanket and pillows were a great touch

The bed was very uncomfortable and noisy. Everytime my husband rolled over, it woke me up

Overall, a nice, quiet, pet friendly hotel.

The room was nicely decorated and had everything needed for a comfortable stay.

Housekeeping/ office staff was nearly non existent. Likely due to the season. Luckily, we were self sufficient.

great stay for all seasons

I stayed at Starlight lodge for 2 nights and then needed to extend for 1 more night, which was super easy to do. The service is great and friendly, the rooms and linen are very clean, there is a shared full kitchen available with a coffee machine, and complimentary coffee and tea. The room has a little fridge and an oven as well. I stayed with my dog and called the Lodge before my stay to confirm I will get a dog-friendly room, which was no problem at all. The Lodge has a large outdoor space with a swimming pool and a fire pit and a grill, which I didn't use because I stayed in winter. However it must be really nice in summer.

We would have stayed one night and taken our chances if we had not paid in full non refundable

There was very little in the way of service…we were greeted upon arrival by the owner(just leaving to deliver someone to work. She quickly gave us a key(only one) to our room. Quickly handing us a sheet of instructions, she told us we could have service for our rooms on request…it was assumed they would get to us once, as we were spending the week.We could ask for clean towels as needed and coffee and filtered water was available in the office(open 7to7) It was locked often during those hours. There was no closet in the room and 1/2 of a dresser, the other side a cupboard for the refrigerator. It was seriously lacking in basic needs, a place to store your suitcase , clothing, an area to apply make up…the bathroom had no fan and stayed foggy…the mirror in the corner of the room was in a dark area without lighting. The owners were pleasant enough but seriously lacking in hospitality training.

Great family-run place! Near many awesome beaches and restaurants.

Very cute family run business! Free real coffee in the lobby. Heated pool wow! Wish I had known to bring a bathing suit. Super friendly staff. Decorated nicely, both the property and in the rooms and updated. You can tell it is an older/vintage motel because of the teeny tiny bathrooms but we think that's cool.

Not the most comfy or supportive mattress for 2 people, kind of saggy and springy, we tossed and turned, and bathroom is really tiny no vanity just the world's smallest sink (cute), but compared to other motels I've stayed at I literally can't complain. I've had plenty of nights elsewhere with a literal metal spring sticking in my back or a loud broken A/C or mildew or cigarette smell or creepy staff or guests. NONE of that here. This place was kept up well -- just not top of the line mattresses, oh well what can ya do.

the pool was nice.

the bathroom was outdated, and so small - tiny sink, and it was physically almost impossible to ‘sit’ on the toilet, as it was so small and tight. the bathroom was in desperate need of makeover, all the joints were moldy or crumbling. there was other peoples / pet hair in one of our clean towels.

Easygoing, well-thought out, and comfortable.

Hands down one of the most kept properties among our travels. Functional, clean and intentional aesthetics, kind staff, and peaceful vibe.

The wasn’t a lot of clearance in the bathroom of our particular room, which was a bit challenging but worth it considering the long list of positives.

Nice and spacious clean room. The availability of a kitchen and barbecues and swimming pool. Lovely feel to the place, very relaxing, coffee available from 7 each morning.

The room was spotless however the shared facilities, kitchen and barbecues were left filthy by other guests. The usual managers were away the week we were there. We met her on our first night and she was lovely offering advice on where to go etc. Our stay was affected by the lack of hygiene shown by one particular guest who showed no regard for other guests who needed to use the kitchen as he left all his dirty dishes in the sink even though a dishwasher was provided.

Superb

We greatly enjoyed our stay at The Starlight Lodge! A lot of thought has gone into making the property comfortable and fun for all. We loved having The Beach Buggy bring us to Mayflower Beach - saved us time and money. The pool was lovely - beautiful furniture and just the right temperature.

We’re aware that the owners continue to make improvements each year. Future suggestions - fixing the floor/door in the bathroom as if got stuck at times and upgrading to central, if possible. Although we loved our stay, the price we were charged for an August weekend was a bit hard to swallow for an upgraded motel, even a lovely one.
