It’s in a very beautiful setting

The management was lazy and nothing gets done here, pool floors leaks broken faucets window walls leaking, pool was disgusting elevators dirty gross floors

Decent room, not as clean as I would expect . Laundry room smelled horrendous

the room wasnt very clean, the laundry room smelled like rotting mildew. that was terrible. one of the elevators didnt work.

Had a place to sleep for a weekend gettaway.

The breakfast was a good breakfast

The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Garland charged me over the amount that booking.com said that it would be on top of that told me there werent any balcony rooms available which was what we had booked. On top of that we were charged for a balcony suite and they gave us a standard double queen room which is less than a balcony suite. They at first gave us an occupied room. Then when we were finally setteled in a room we went to go swimming in the pool and the pool was green and had algae. The pictures shown on booking.com were not what was there and that is very deciving. I am extemly unsatisfied with this stay.

A mess

The breakfast was very good. Some of the staff were good.

We were there because my 36 year old grandson passed away and it was close to his apartment. We had been working in the heat all day trying to move furniture. When we checked in no towels in the room, all we wanted was to shower and cool off, but we had to wait for towels. Then, when I was getting my bed ready, I grabbed one of the pillows, and there was yucky sticky stuff on it. I gave the pillow to some worker he took it away, never to see the pillow again. Day 2 I sat down on the couch, and in between the cushions was a slice of pizza. Now that was really gross. My hotel phone did not work, so I had to go to the desk and ask if anyone could come take care of the mess. The desk clerk said no one would be there until 9:00 am the next morning. So she offered me another room. I am a senior and didn't feel I could move the stuff to another room, and she couldn't leave the desk. So she gave me some gloves and a trash bag and sent me one my way. We had a difficult time trying to get towels, and a nice housekeeper saw my distress and helped me with the things I needed. I hate to write a bad review, but this was one of the worst

I think that location of garland in general is a bit isolated but it was close to where I needed to be which was in the same parking lot.

I get that it’s free breakfast but the meet that was supposed to fill me and fuel me did not, I was hungry 2 hours later.

Staff was very helpful. With the pool being out of order, was really nothing to do but stay in the room out of the heat.

Disappointing

The bed in the room was comfortable. This is all I can say that I liked about my stay at this hotel.

The facilities weren't clean. The first-floor guest restroom was nasty and stunk like sewage. The out swimming pool was dirty and unusable and the pool smelled awful, the pool area was unkept and dirty. Breakfast wasn't as good as others implied in past reviews. We had to wait for 20 minutes or more for food to be brought out and placed in warming pans. The coffee was cold and wasn't fresh. The floor we stayed on looked as if it was under construction with paneling leaning against the wall and paint chipping off the purple wall. The ice machine on our floor didn't work. The fridge in our room...dirty! It wasn't properly cleaned. An overall bad experience. I will not stay here again.

Worst hotel stay I've ever had...

The hotel location was great!

We had to move rooms multiple times because of broken air conditioning. One of the rooms we were moved into, and had to stay in, was infested with roaches and also had broken AC that didn't get fixed. We had to beg to get more than the 2 towels that were in the room because they had roaches folded up into them. Overall it was a completely miserable stay while I was trying to enjoy my brother's wedding.

Nice property with some "New Car" issues.

Great location right on Lake Ray Hubbard. Excellent Fitness Center. Mini fridge had a freezer compartment. Lots of restaurants within a few minutes walk.

Property appears to be very new & there may be some startup issues... One bedside reading lamp was missing & the other would not turn on. No ice machine on the 2nd floor. When I checked in, was given room 103. When I let myself in, there was a pest control technician treating the room! Needless to say, I asked to change rooms. Not what a guest wants to walk in on. Construction on the interstate right in front of the property makes this hotel difficult to get to. Good thing you can walk to restaurants because once you arrive, you don't want to drive anywhere until you checkout.

Nice place to stay

The bed was incredibly comfortable and the water pressure was great. The room was very clean, and I loved having a ceiling fan over the bed.

Lighting was not great, and there were no towel hooks or bars in the bathroom. Shower floor was slick; needed something for traction.

Superb

It was close to my destinations for the weekend, and allowed me to travel quickly back and forth without stress.

The original room I booked wasn't accessible due to a minor technicality and when I needed extra linens for the pull out couch bed none were available. Other than that everything was okay.
