Perfect place for a solo traveller to get acquainted with the best part of San Diego

Great DIY breakfast. Unlimited coffee came in handy. The staff are very cool and friendly. Location is perfect.

Run down place, no refund

The place is super run down and smells very strongly from all the weed people smoke in there. The surfing equipment is old and not much. Overall, not at all like in the fotos. We decide to check out 15 minutes after checking in and booked a different place close by. We were promised a refund for the 2nd and 3rd night, but the refund never came. If you want to go surfing in San Diego, there are a couple of alternatives. We would also recommend Ocean Beach over Mission Beach!

La ubicación y la atención del personal

Super sucio, si bien es un hostal para pasar el fin de semana creo que deberían preocuparse por mantener limpias las áreas comunes. La cocina en general se ve que no la han limpiado en meses. Una de mis almohadas tenía una mega mancha y las fundas olían mal, lo que hace pensar que no las cambian. Las literas rechinan mucho, creo que una lubricada les vendría bien.

Buen ambiente, gente amable, pero sucio

Muy buen ambiente! Hacen actividades dentro del hostal para conocerse y el personal era muy amable

La habitación no era limpia, el baño tampoco... Serios problemas de aseo. La manta de la cama tenía hoyos y no estaba con olor a limpio... (No las cambian entre un cliente a otro)

Not clean

The place is dirty, there is hair and pelvic hair everywhere, not clean the linen smell like they not change the linen for new guest, linen smell to other people sweat, the breakfast the fruits were not in good condition, almost rotten, is very far from downtown in a place where is very windy and cold, Noisy place and not clean

Personnel sympa mais il semble avoir beaucoup de rotation. Emplacement est excellent, beaucoup de parking gratuit au alentour.

Très bruyant. Très vieux. Salle de bain commune est sale, et vieux. Il fait froid nuit, aucun bois de fournis pour faire un feu, on a dut aller en acheter. On a était mal chanceux, fuite d'eau donc pas d'eau chaude pour une partie de la journée. Internet fonctionne mal.

Katastrofe!!!

Die Lage am strand ist Super! Alles andere ist Sche...

Duschen war nicht möglich da es kein Wasser bei der Dusche gab! Es gab ein kleines leck in der Warmwasserleitung daher wurde das gesamte Wasser abgedreht. Das Personal sind etwas ältere Kinder die von Nichts, aber von gar nichts eine Ahnung haben. Das Internet hat auch nicht Funktioniert WhatAapp hat funktioniert, aber es war nicht möglich eine Webseite zu öffnen. Daher nicht möglich einen Flix Bus nach LA. zu buchen. Man wird auf ein nahegelegenes Kaffeehaus verwiesen, man muss sich dort einen Kaffee Um 5$ kaufen dann hat man richtiges Internet Das Hostel ist eine desolate Bruchbude für circa 61$ pro nacht ohne Dusche und ohne brauchbares Internet! für 2 X kurz Internet im Kaffeehaus kommen noch mindestens 10$/ Tag hinzu.

Location next to the beach

Too much party. I've stayed in many hostels but the parties usually are not as close to the bedrooms. I stayed at one of the private bedrooms, and for the price I don't think it was worth it. Also some issuess with my wetsuit that it was rented by mistake to another person, luckily the third person I talked from the staff helped me and found the wetsuit at the end of the day. I I think there is missing some organization and clear rules.

The Queen-size room was old and not that clean. Especially the bathroom needs renovation. The kitchen was also not clean, the sink was clogged and smelled disgusting. The breakfast was just really bad pancakes and coffee. Would not recommend to stay there also in consideration of the price.

I would recommend if you’re open to fun and possible weird experiences lol

I loved the location and the volunteers and some staff made it feel like joining a family. I was alone there for Christmas but felt like I had a family this Christmas.

some of the female staff made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. catty behavior as soon as I arrived and lots of random creepy people that were not staying there were in there late at night sometimes. however, whenever brought up to the staff, they handled it accordingly.
