Missing a few things.

The atmosphere was nice. It felt nostalgic and charming. But, I have to be honest here and say that I was disappointed in the room and with breakfast.

The bed was supposed to be size queen. It's more like full. The mattress was okay, but the bed was sqeaky noisy and outdated. ( hard to sleep) The breakfast needed something to make it more reminiscent of the European feel to the whole place. Something other than very dried out eggs and choboni nonfat yogurt in a bowl. The quiche was very unappealing, and the coffee offered was unremarkable. Coffeemate instead of real cream or fresh milk. (Not okay) Some simple changes could really make this a better experience. Thank you.

I wish we could have stayed a week.

We thought the breakfast was perfect. I was also very intrigued with the library. I could have spent hours in there.

The plug for the tub didn’t work. (I love baths)

We came to celebrate our aunt’s birthday: The Outing Lodge and staff were friendly, genuine, helpful and accommodating.

Peaceful, beautiful, almost magical! if you go, you must see the library upstairs…and if you have time, ask to have a tour!!

There was not anything we didn’t like! The owners have done marvelous work, renovating and bringing in pieces of furniture that compliments as well as adds to the unique story of “The Outing Lodge”!

New to the property and happy to return

The historic building was wonderful to see. The location to trails made the hikes, albeit them short were nice and convenient. Breakfast was fun, interacting with the hosts and the good food made for a nice time.

The grounds, the staff, and the cozy feel.

Breakfast didn't start until 9 and the hot water didn't kick on until 7. No refrigerator or microwave.

Interesting history to the lodge. Excellent space to the suite. Short drive to downtown Stillwater. An enjoyable breakfast, with plenty of fresh food.

It was peaceful, homey setting, with a 5 star breakfast and service!

The 8 course breakfast was incredible! The smiles, helpfulness was top notch! The room were super clean. The bed was comfy! It’s a very quaint setting also!

It was a nice and relaxing place to get away from the hustle and bustle.

We enjoyed the ambiance and the serenity. The room was excellent and the breakfast was delicious. Thank you for make a memorial weekend.

My wife likes a soft bed and I like a firm bed. I got my wish. :)

Lots of potential

Beautiful peaceful location. Beautiful building with interesting historical story. Friendly staff. Lovely grounds to explore.

I would love to give an exceptional rating for this property but there are some issues that are hard to overlook. I can imagine that keeping such an old building maintained is a monumental task. The building is in dire need of roof repair and paint. However, some basics are minimal expectations for a B&B. The bed was not comfortable. The water in the shower went from very cold to very hot several times during a short shower. The Robert Frost room was quite large but needs some comfortable seating. The photos on the website show a loveseat instead of the hard antique chairs that are currently in the room. I would return again to try a different room and would love to see this property in the winter with fireplaces lit and snow for snowshoeing!

Wonderful place to relax!

Very quiet lodge next to trails and park. Hosts were wonderful and incredibly friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious and freshly made. Great outdoor space and setting.
