As per the other one point review in August 22 our stay was awful. Do not stay!
The only good thing was the bedding and extras in the bedroom. The beds themselves were adequate.
We arrived and we thought the inn had closed. We got to the porch and it was full of old tables, cardboard boxes etc. the front door was locked but eventually opened by a harried Rose - who immediately asked for more money for breakfast (we had pre paid). The kids and I wanted to leave but we paid top dollar for our stay and there was not much else around. Ironically, to add to the horror film feeling there was a large thunderstorm that night - couldn’t have made it up! Rose eventually texted us that she wouldn’t charge extra for breakfast. Breakfast was a shame as she seemed to use a garlic infused chopping board so all the fruit tasted of garlic. The restaurant was closed and I found reviews saying it had been shut for 2 years - which made sense of the room piled with stuff. Rose was not chatty but rude and full of angst. It felt like something had gone majorly wrong, was meant to be closed but forgotten to cancel us or something.

Provided a good place to get away for a couple of days
Food was outstanding and Rose definitely was comfortable, knowledgeable, and professional in the kitchen
Chilly in dining area, coffee could have been warmer.

We enjoyed our stay and would stay again
The breakfast was excellent, better than a restaurant any day! The room was comfortable and the area was lovely.

Rose was so kind and a wonderful chef. I looked forward to seeing what magical breakfast she would make us each day. Location was perfect!

Property needs new management and should not be opened.
Nothing! Cardboard boxes and furniture on the front porch, the dining room tables were askew, the room was dingy and kind of scary! The pictures from the website were totally misleading. My wife and I left the property in about five minutes and found a real, legitimate B&B in Fryeburg, Maine (The Oxford House).
Everything! Nothing described on the website was accurate. The facility was run down, not well-maintained. "fine-dining" non-existent, upcharge for breakfast and trash all over the front porch. My wife and I were horrified so we left and stayed at another B&B. Basically, the owner of this B&B was falsely advertising her property and I hope this review helps others who are thinking about renting here. We heard from people in the community that this property was once thriving but in recent years it has really gone downhill. This is a classic example of false advertising and, in my opinion, the owner should not be renting the property.
