The grounds are very unkept but they are in the process of renovating the inside. When I booked, a breakfast and pool were part of the amenities. neither were available. Again, they are open, even though it looks deserted, but renovations are in the works. Once completed, it will be a beautiful hotel.

When we pulled up there were no cars anywhere, front of building full of weeds looked like it was closed. Walked in and it smelled. Asked about the pool as it looked like an storange area no water in it and told it didn’t work Decided no way could we stay her plus we always swim. We decided no way could we stay there . Drive around n found a comfort inn stayed there instead for same price and it was clean and had pool. Will nit recommend booking.com. This is a 1 star hotel at best. Tried to redo reserveation , on phone for 45 minutes but Luis could not help me. but ended up I had to pay for two hotels same night but it was worth it to not stay in that filthy hotel

Room itself was clean & new I think. Tv worked. That was a plus. Shower needed repair. Bed was clean & comfortable

Most everything. Location should NOT have been open for business. We would have left but had a non refundable from Priceline. Should NOT have been available to book from Priceline. There 3 star rating was a joke. Think we were the only room available to book. Hallway was dirty & construction everywhere & lasted to at least 11 PM. VERY DISAPPOINTED

The trip up

The tv didn't work, the shower/ tub didn't work, the sink that was in the main room leaked, the floors in the hallway were dirty. I understand they were under construction but they were still open to the public.

The bedding was ok.

Sketchy… LISTEN . if you go on a side of the window it’s all ripped and distroyed. THERE IS NO BREAKFAST! The website is lying , no no no breakfast. we got this hotel thinking it’d be nice for a good price plus free breakfast.. NO!.. They also need your credit card number “just in case” of an accident .. The guy upfront desk doesn’t have a bell or anything so we were just waiting there for a fat minute. ALL night a music was playing and it was driving me crazy. SINCE THE MINUTE I WALKED IN i knew something was off. never again.

So my minimum expectations are for a secure room, with hot water and clean sheets. I wasn't real comfortable with the locks on the door but it did have hot water and clean sheets.

The shower pressure was poor, the t.v. only worked on a few channels (none of the local channels and I was trying to figure out about the weather), the lock/latching mechanism on the door was pretty sketchy, the refrigerator was so loud I had to unplug it, and I was supposed to get breakfast and there was no breakfast served.

Staff at the front desk very friendly and answered all questions.

The facility is under a remodel, kind of messy, but our room worked well for the one night stay.

We paid for a business king room with pets; we go second floor (15 steps) regular king, no breakfast, as advertised, a TV that didn't work, a hotel that had stud walls and cement floors over much of the property.

I didn't like paying $95 for a $40 motel without any of the amenities it advertised. The place was a mess and the manager was slow to respond and uncompromising when it came to adjusting the price for the most miserable motel I've ever stayed in. We have pictures/videos of the bugs, cement and stud walls.

Carpet and drywall missing in hall and room. Black mold on ceiling and dirt in corner in bathroom. Couldn't bring myself to use the shower. Discovered ten inch opening in wall under the sink between our room and neighbor. Could see their bed and them. Made me feel uneasy all night. Someone suggested they might have had a flood, is so, should not have rented out the room

easy to find off the highway

the website promised free breakfast and an indoor pool. the sign outside also said free breakfast and indoor poor. but when I got there, the pool was closed and they didn’t have breakfast. after driving for 11 hours, my kids were heartbroken not to be able to swim and not having breakfast was bad as there weren’t any good stores nearby and I had to buy unhealthy and expensive breakfast foods at a gas station for kids and me. I just wish I was told the truth about the amenities so I could have gone somewhere else. I really think a partial refund is in order.

The listing seemed great.

We arrived (coming from Salt Lake City, UT) after a 4 hour car ride delay in eastern Colorado due to a bad storm and decided to keep traveling since the hotel smelled bad, the outside was dingy and there was nobody in the parking lot. When we pulled in it looked abandoned. We decided rather than staying that we would keep traveling since we didn't want to stay at the hotel.

There were no bed bugs, as near as we could tell. That was the upside.

Check-in was problematic because we didn't want the room charged to the card I'd used to reserve it and they either wanted cash or to put it on that card. The place was run down, gross and would probably fail a health inspection. If there are any health inspectors in Colby, KS. Definitely do not recommend and would never stay there again. I've included photos of the paint peeling on the bathroom ceiling in the shower, the mold(?) the peeling revealed, the dead bugs in one of the ceiling lights (they all looked like that) and the duct tape with the room number written in sharpie.

They advertise breakfast, there is no breakfast. They advertise a pool. There is no water in the pool. They said those things were unavailable due to Covid. However that’s a main reason to stay when traveling with kids. This place was under construction only in the area where we were to stay. There were dirty finger prints all over everything. The bathroom was so gross. Dead roaches every where!! We immediately went to front desk to get a refund & they told us booking.com had to give us the refund. Booking.com said it was them that has to give a refund. They refused to refund my money. So they have no problem taking a woman’s money (with kids traveling alone) I’m pretty upset with how this was treated. I’ve called choice hotels to report the incident as well. DO NOT STAY HERE. It’s a disgusting scam!

we had contacted Booking.com to let them know that the Quality Inn Colby, was not what was advertised. When you first drive onto their property it looked that the whole area looked disrepair. You walk in and you had a pungent smell that didn’t mix well with the fact no A/C was on with the outside temp 105 degrees. We see that the pool is not open. (no water in pool) the hallways where your suppose to go to your rooms, as well as the rooms, is under construction. looked like we would have to walk through the construction to get to our rooms if have checked in. Safety violation!!!!!! This is not what we paid for. when confronting with the clerk (we haven’t checked in) about the false ad on Booking.com, he had told us that you guys have not updated your website. He also informed us to get ahold of Booking.com to ask for our refund back. We get ahold of you guys and complained about our situation, Irving got ahold of the motel, and the clerk had told him that the manager has to be the one to authorize the refund. We still have not heard back to see if we can get our money back. I’ve always trusted Booking.com to be sure we are getting the motel that we are paying for. I’ve never had any problems until now. it was a big disappointment when we arrived, especially with 2 kids that were looking forward to a nice swim. this facility should not be on Booking. com. We had left the premises and booked a different motel through your site for the same night. We would like some kind of response and ask to do what is right.

The place looked like an abandoned cavalry fort! Run down, trash everywhere and weeds instead lawns. The security was ??? The only person there to assist was a fellow who was not familiar with the “ place “ or the neighborhood. Very poor rating for this motel.

The pool was not in use and there was nothing on website that said that. The outside door was unlocked and broken. Would not latch to lock. and should have been locked to use code keycard to get in. Was loud.

No updates since 1965. OLD! Exterior property not maintained.

Not worth it to pay a little less.
