9 days - plenty to see & do. Cottages were well equipped and clean. Staff were warm and helpful. We felt like ohana!

Gorgeous views (both ocean and throughout the garden property) Staff was superb!

a bit more traffic on the road than expected. would have liked access to a pool or spa (an upgrade for the future perhaps? 😃)

I will be back

The property is set in gardens far enough away from the street to have a private and quiet feel. The owners/managers are very helpful and friendly. Most place on Maui are relatively soulless whereas this is friendly.

Maui’s best kept secret! You won’t regret staying here!!!

This property and owners are amazing! It is a well kept Maui secret, but the word needs to get out! It is immaculately clean, in a perfect location for traveling the island, and across the street from the beach.

The beautiful gardens throughout the property, beach chairs, laundry facilities, and a wonderful, peaceful spot for morning yoga with the sunrise.

Location is awesome and super relaxed. close to everything. the property is well maintained and while living in the middle of a big garden this gives the stay the special Maui feeling

Nice and cosy accomodation

Nice and big room Lot of space to open our luggages and store our clothes Our room had a terrace with a table and chairs and direct access to a garden Fridge in the room and microwave available outside Effective air co' Big bathroom Parking spot available on the property

The wifi was not working on our phones, but luckily we could connect to the internet with an US sim card. We slept in a room in the main building, not in one of the cottages. From the window of our room we could see and hear the other guests going to the microwave outside or going to their room. It was not a big problem since there were only 2 other rooms next to ours and not a lot of people passing by.

Amazing hosts on a garden property across from

The family that owns the property were 10/10 hosts, telling us some history about the 50+ years they’ve been running the spot. They had local suggestions and a wonderfully tended garden lot

Minor things: water took some time to heat but was plenty hot once it got going. Wifi was 7/10 but had some slow periods.

Nona Lanai

The hosts were friendly and accommodating. The ocean is right across the street. Kihei town is just down the road.

Prices in Maui are pretty high. The gentrification of the island is a concern.

I will recommend Nona Lani Cottages to my friends and family.

Everything about this place was paradise. I did not have the need to request anything because everything was provided. The staff was superb. It was a mother/daughter team that was so welcoming and loving. Our stay was beyond comfortable and enjoyable. Thank you for the extraordinary experience.

There is nothing negative I have to say about our stay at Nona Lani Cottages.

Felt at home on this vacation

The Staff member greeted me and happily gave me the key as well as the key lock code. She was very friendly and told me to let her know if we needed anything for the room. I felt very welcomed upon arrival.

Pleasant overall but not very good value for the money, should have microwave and coffee maker inside the hotel rooms.

The gardens and gazebos, spacious room with lots of windows

Expensive, mandatory cleaning fee of $95 but cleaned only once during our 8 day stay, but maybe it’s due to covid safety protocols, a small microwave and coffee maker are located outside the rooms and you have to fumble in the dark to use them, located along a busy road with no sidewalks, no security door locks, there are no stores or facilities that are within walking distance

My stay was better than I anticipated. I would 100% stay there again and bring my family and friends

I enjoyed everything about my stay. The hostess, and her family were very attentive to our needs. Everything was perfect! It was a pleasure to interact and talk with the family...and they made sure we were comfortable. They were very friendly and I made new friends...including Grandma Nona.....gotta luv her! Everything was beyond my wildest dreams......loved everything.

I loved everything...and I mean everything! There was nothing that I didn't like.

We really enjoyed our time. The flowers on the grounds were beautiful.

The key code didn't work, but it wasn't a problem to find host who re-programmed. Appreciated using ice chest, beach chairs and umbrella.

Possibly more comfortable couch.

In all, I really enjoyed my stay.

room was graciously furnished, clean, comfortable, had its own patio, air conditioning worked well. I liked the quiet and simplicity and "old Hawaii" vibe of the property. Staff were consistently courteous, gracious and helpful. Parking was simple, too. In all, I really enjoyed my stay. One down side was that the sliding screen door to the patio didn't work; it fact, it fell off its runners and I had to lean it up against the building to avoid having it fall over on me when I opened the patio sliding glass door. I would have liked to be able to have the screen door work, so I could let the evening and morning air into the room. I told the office staff about this and they said they were aware but couldn't get it fixed before I arrived. I asked that it not be fixed (because I didn't want a workman on the patio) while I was there.

Would highly recommend the cottages.

Excellent cottages with superbly maintained grounds. Plumeria, Mango, Date and numerous other trees provide a unique escape from the hustle and bustle of typical resort. The rooms were exceptionally sanitized and cleaned. We loved sitting on the patio for our morning coffee and breakfast and listen to the birds chirping.
