Not great

It looked super cute from all the pictures

Well we checked in and our room code didn’t work. I went to the office to see about getting it fixed. Apparently it was a known issue but wasn’t disclosed until after I couldn’t get in. The guy who checked me in asked for all my info again, wrote it down Then just got up and walked away and didn’t say anything. A lady walked in who I assume owns the place or is the manager. the guy briefly told her what was going on and left to go bring someone towels. She went on about doing whatever she came in to do and just left us standing there before coming back to the front asking if there was something she could help us with. Very very strange. There was no parking even though we were required to have a parking pass and tons of cars were parked without a pass. When we finally got up to the room, it was extremely dusty and the shower would randomly shoot out scalding hot water. Check out was at 11am and they mean you better be out by 10.59am because they walked into our room at 11am as we were gathering our stuff. It’s crazy that I spent $400 for one night, not even 24hrs and all of this happened. I never complain about places, ever. But this was shocking.

Great location, cleaning can use improvement.

Nice location right next to the beach.

Room was very dusty (counter tops) finger prints on glass from previous tenants. Asked kindly for it to be cleaned. Gals up front were very nice, but cleaners just mopped the floor instead of addressing issues we had with room. Also paid for an ocean view. I guess we technically could see the ocean, but wouldn’t classify it as an ocean view.

If you are able to book a room here, don’t pass it up!

OMGoodness! Everything about The Tides was fantastic! What a charming place. If a room is available don’t pass it up! A very interesting concept. Each unit is individually owned so the decor is personal. We stayed two nights in a studio w/queen bed(very comfy). The room had a partial ocean view that was perfect as we sat at a high top table and enjoyed the view with our morning coffee! The most efficient tiny kitchen with a two burner cook top, sink, coffee maker and all the dishes, pots & pans, glasses, cups and dishes for four people. A small refrigerator had room for plenty of food and beverage . There was a futon that could be used for extra sleeping. We would recommend this room for a couple (with up to two small children). We met several of the staff and they were all friendly and so helpful.

I can think of nothing negative to say, we were so happy here!

We had a great time but the unit needs an update!

The view and beach access were amazing!

The WiFi was horrible. There were two chairs located at the window. When we sat in them, our butts were lower than our knees, very hard to get out of them. The kitchen needs a major upgrade including adding a freezer in the fridge.

Very poor

When we arrived we saw beds not done (bed sheets pillow etc. still messy), trash not taken, dishwasher not run. It was late 10:00pm+, and staffs were not able to help much.

Beautiful location

We had two cottages both were very clean and comfortable. We were so close to the water and great food options. The staff was so sweet and great. My family and I loved everything about our time there and will be back!

We enjoyed our stay, though our backs hurt from the bed and our ears rang from the neighbor's noise.

1. We loved the location and the intimacy. 2. The price for a full condo rental was also very decent. 3. The room was situated perfectly for our needs.

1. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable. 2. Half of the blinds did not work, blocked most the view. 3. It was very loud - the neighbors yelled and screamed the entire time they were present.

Great Stay

We liked the quiet little community that is The Tides. It was a quiet stay, we were close to the beach, and it was easy to take a walk. Our unit was perfect for 2 adults and a toddler.

Everything we didn't like was because of our own fault, and most of those turned into a good thing in the end. The one that stands out was no heat in the second bedroom so our toddler had to really bundle up.

The location, beach and promenade are pretty much right outside your door as well as promenade. Staff was responsive and very friendly.

No air conditioning, this could of been helped if a fan was provided in room. I could only get one of the two small windows open and there was no airflow. The mattress and pillows, the mattress was extremely uncomfortable. It felt like sleeping on a pull out couch even though it a bed. It is one of the more affordable options in the area, but still a decent mattress should be expected.

It was a nice stay and I would book again.

Initially I thought I was billed $80 x2. I discovered dust on the headboard Thursday morning and their resolution was to clean while my items were in the room - I told them no, over and over. I found out that that was their resolution and there would not be a monetary compensation Later that day when I started packing for departing Friday, I discovered a, blond hair on the night stand closest to the kitchen - ugh!! I have very short dark hair. So, all this leads me to believe that the place is not reviewed after cleaning.

Exceptional

It was right on the beach and it was very clean and big! We got a condo and I took my GMA and my daughters and we all had plenty of room and the beds were comfortable and the price was cheaper than some of the other hotels. It was a great place to stay and we will definitely be back!

DON'T BOOK

Reserved a room with two beds, queen and twin. When we got there the room was very small with only one bed, double. Misrepresented the accommodations entirely. Also not 'on' the beach so I asked for a room with a view, their reply was that we could 'get to the beach' from there. DON'T BOOK!

Cute, but pick you condo carefully if you would like something with more comforts and/or updated.

I love the location and homey-ness of this property. It is right on the beach in an out of the way part of Seaside while still allowing easy access to the tourist spots.

We booked a 2 bedroom cottage with 1 queen bed and 2 single beds. The queen bed was closer to a double size, and was a murphy bed that came down from the wall. For size it was pretty small for 2 grown adults. Also the mattress was thin and like what you would have in a pull out couch. Not super comfortable. The cottage was cute but a bit outdated, and had perhaps the ugliest carpet I've ever seen.

Gorgeous view but could have got at a different location maybe with some sleep 😉

The view was gorgeous

The heating unit was horrible. It was cold and it constantly clicked on and off made a clicking noise all night long. The tv system had 3 remotes no explanation and was impossible mess.

Beautiful

Loved the location. The place was beautiful, clean, super cute, and had everything we needed for our short trip.

We only had a few complaints, one is it was cold in the living space, but thankfully a lot warmer in the bedrooms as long as the door was closed. The last complaint is that you couldn't get through a shower without the water getting cold. It got cold fast! If that's the case it should have a bath so you can at least finish washing up before you're having to do it in cold water.
