Exceptional Stay

Located quite close to downtown Jim Thorpe, this bed and breakfast was extremely welcoming. Tom and Nancy were excellent hosts and gave several recommendations for food, events, and sites to see in the area. The room we rented was a single room with a private bathroom, which we found to be comfortable and spacious. Every morning, Tom and Nancy would provide fresh fruit, breakfast of your choice, and great coffee, which was one of the highlights of our stay there. We're looking forward to staying here in the future, as there are several, local hiking and biking trails, and many other things to do and see.

Superb

Lovely home a short walk from the center of town. Very comfortable and cozy. Breakfast was delicious and Tom and Nancy were the ultimate hosts! Great amenities - coffee, tea, water, snacks, toiletries. Will definitely return.

Enjoyable long weekend in Jim Thorpe!

Located close to downtown Jim Thorpe,. The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. We enjoyed our 3 night stay in a comfortable room and loved the delicious breakfasts! There are plenty of activities to keep you entertained nearby.

Lovely short trip to Jim Thorpe, 💯recommend

Hosts were very attentive, wanted to ensure a good stay. Breakfast was delicious both days. Meal was a lovely setting. Extras like water and snacks available.

The breakfasts were awesome! Nancy and Tom were terrific hosts!! They were very attentive, very helpful, and very personable. They made our stay very enjoyable!! The location was perfect!

Great stay at a charming and quaint B&B

Matt and Tom we're incredibly friendly and helpful! The house was beautiful and very clean. Our room had a nice table to sit at, a mini fridge which they supplied us with water bottles in, and travel amenities in the bathroom. Breakfast was the best meal we had each day hands down. The location was great as well, we weren't on the main strip so the neighborhood was quiet, but you're only like a three minute drive/10 minute walk from the shoppes. Beware if you do walk though, the road down to town is very steep and there is no sidewalk most of the way down. Great experience, would absolutely stay again!

Very little to complain about, the only issues we crossed were we had a connectivity issue in the living room one night. We tried to watch Netflix but the internet wasn't connecting/too slow, not sure. Not a huge issue though as we just entertained ourselves with the games and books that they provide. The mattress was also a little worn in on the one side. This only bothered me though, as my fiance and I switched sides the second night and we both slept great!

I would definitely stay here again.

Matthew our host was fantastic. Couldnt have been nicer and fixed great breakfasts. Location is on a steep hill but, 2 minutes from downtown. Summer time we may have walked. Room was clean and comfortable with space.

Parking is limited. Windows need some blackout drapes, there was an street light outside our window and made it difficult to sleep. Other rooms seemed darker.

Superb

Matt was an excellent and attentive host for our stay in Jim Thorpe during our Ski vacation. The house is in a cozy neighborhood and the rooms were charming, clean and comfortable. The nice view from the room was an unexpected pleasure. The house is close to all restaurants and theatre in Jim Thorpe. I would recommend Hillcrest to anyone spending some time in the Poconos area. We plan to return when we vacation in the area again!

Would stay there again!

You can walk to downtown. The view of the town was nice. The bed and the shower head in the bathroom was excellent. They had a downstairs common area to watch TV. The host Matt was excellent.

The decor of the establishment was outdated and dreary.

Service was excellent , matt was an amazing host very friendly and hospitable , the food was amazing , the atmosphere was very comfortable and relaxing , we had a great time .

We loved everything about our weekend at hillcrest , we are absolutely going back in the spring and the summer

Very nice very romantic! Tom and Nancy were great hosts!

Very quaint and comfortable. Very cute old fashion furnishings. The bed was very comfortable and they anticipated our needs with extra towels and water in the fridge daily with some snacks on the table always. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and they were full of helpful information for touring Jim Thorpe. Thank you very much Tom and Nancy!!

The property was fine. It was on top of the hill which was hard to walk up

A wonderful getaway spot! Close enough to downtown, yet out of the fray, with a quiet peaceful view!

Quiet, peaceful, comfortable, and convenient.

It was comfortable and quiet. I do believe we were the only ones staying at the time.

I guess it could have been better with the amazing prepared breakfasts I read about, but I understand the reasons that isn't currently happening.

Not worth the price, wouldn’t stay again.

The location was ok, the room and the common areas were clean, free parking.

Missing basic things like shampoo or conditioner, breakfast was comparable with what you get at a gas station (cereal and instant oatmeal, some toast bread and bagels but no butter or cream cheese). Also, no one was there the entire time so it’s hard to rate the service. There was none. Clearly not the same experience many described in their reviews.

Honestly, I can't say anything bad about our stay.

Everything about this stay was ideal. Location was great; easy walk in to town (as long as you don't mind a hill), off street parking. Near the Packer Mansions and Kemmerer park. Our host Matt was amazing, made us breakfast every morning, whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted. Loved my room, it was quite beautiful. The house was charming. I felt as if I was visiting a friend's home.

There needs to be an escalator down to town, this is a joke. We loved really everything. The only reason I would give it a bad review is to make sure it doesn't get too popular, I want to make sure to have my room next time I am in Jim Thorpe, lol.
