This was an amazing get away for me and my husband for our anniversary! The spot was perfect, the cabin was perfect, and the fishing at the lake was perfect. We will definitely go there again.

There is nothing negative to say about our stay!

Hidden Gem is the correct name for the cabin! It's tucked behind and down the hill, across a BRIDGE, from the home of the owners, yet you felt like you were away from everything. The cabin was exceptionally clean, everything we could possibly need was there and it was quite spacious for a couple or even 4 people. The outside areas could entertain a huge crowd, There are so many gathering places and areas to just sit and read or eat or fish. There's a side porch with two swings, a deck off main level for great fishing, a lower level with grilling area, bar, picnic table, and even a deck off the master loft with two Adirondack chairs for private sunning/reading. The fountain in the lake gave a peaceful sound along with the crickets and frogs. We didn't have ANY mosquitoes! A/C and ceiling fans did an excellent job keeping us comfortable in the hot, humid weather the days we were there! Owner provided some books and magazines that kept wife satisfied while husband fished or napped. Interior post and beams were beautiful! Could lie in bed and look at the construction and be amazed.

Older people should be aware that the main bed is upstairs in the spacious loft. There's a regular stairway, but you will need to come downstairs for bathroom visits during the night! :) Two, safe handrails do the trick, though!

We loved the location and privacy this house offered. The view from the deck is absolutely stunning and extremely quiet. Our host, Gayle was kind and made sure we had everything we needed.

We loved everything about the house except the bed. That is simply because we prefer a firm bed to a soft one. But that’s just personal preference, nothing that is wrong with the actual house.
