The location was great for visiting the best spots in New Orleans, just a short drive or ferry ride and you're right in the heart of the French Quarter. The house itself just exudes that feeling of Mardi Gras and the history of the area. The owner was incredibly friendly and attentive, giving us a rundown of the neighborhood and making sure any needs were met. Definitely would stay again.
I can honestly say I found nothing to dislike.

Everything you needed was there. The breakfast included just about any choice you could think of from cereal to omelettes (if you like to cook). Joey was very friendly and felt immediately like one of the family.
There was nothing I didn’t like.

The host was great! He provided so much food! My kids enjoyed the snack and the place was very clean!
The area is a lil sketchy but I had never been to the city before.

First, the house was in a very cute neighborhood. The house has so much charm with a clawfoot tub. The host, Joey, lives next door. He is very kind! The fridge was stocked, and there were items for breakfast and lunch. We did not expect this, and it went beyond our expectations. The room had brochures for attractions and instructions on how to get to places. Each of our family of 6 had a bed. We hope to return soon.

Our host was great! There was plenty of space and beds. The neighborhood was nice.

Great location, close to the ferry, very quick to get to the French Quarter. Plus, Algiers Point deserves some time too!
It wasn't very clean. The carpets weren't vacuumed after the previous guests. Towels had holes. But shhets were clean.

They let you food in the fridge and it is a really epoque house. Very nice house.
we couldn’t walk to the center but it was just an Uber away.

I received an email from Booking.com that this place was overbooked after we left all of our belongings onsite and went to dinner. No phone call! I called the owner to find out what was happening and was told another family had rented the place. All of our belongings were left outside on the porch. Our family was left out in the street.

it’s a great space for traveling with a group.
The property was double booked, and my group of five was kicked out. We did not know the property was double booked until arrival after three hours of driving. My group had to rush to find a new location to stay that night.

Joey provided a great variety of options for breakfast and was most helpful.

Very interesting home, lots of room. Laundry facilities!
Everything we needed in the full kitchen
Good heating when needed.lots of extra blankets.

Thanks Joey!
Kitchen needs brighter bulbs.

Joey makes a real effort to ensure guests enjoy their stay. Loved the house...a real New Orleans experience. So much better than a bland hotel room.

It’s a great price in a great location close to the ferry, which runs very regularly to the French Quarter. There was plenty of space and there was food and supplies stocked which was awesome.
The homes are older and so there was some expected charm to parts of the house, but honestly most of that was expected, the only knock I’d say was the bathroom ceilings are lower than the rest of the house and the tub is a claw foot tub which makes it tight for anyone over 6 foot tall. good thing we were all short :)

The place was beautiful and a refrigerator full of food and drinks. It came with breakfast but we were pleasantly surprised with the amount of food. We seriously needed or wanted for nothing. Joey was next door and a wonderful host. I advised him the toaster wasn't working and he went straight to the store and bought a new one. This flat is very close to both the bus station and the ferry but we had our car and it was just a 10 minute drive to Bourbon St, the stadium and the museums and only 30 minutes to Jean Lafette preserve. It's a great neighborhood and everybody is super nice and helpful.

Great experience in this lovely New Orleans home. It was nice to imagine living in this house in this quiet neighbourhood. We noticed it was walking distance to a local church, a local playground and even a local English pub! The host provided us with various food items in the kitchen for breakfast which is very much appreciated.
A bit more communication from the host like where to get the keys from when we first arrived, although in the end we figured it out. Some small cockroaches in the kitchen. Expired items should be removed. TV was set to watch DVD. But all this did not take from the lovely experience staying in this house.

Joey was an amazing host!!! The outside was decorated for Halloween! This property is perfect a 10 minute walk from the ferry takes you right into the city. The ducks and pretty pond are a plus!!!

I honestly absolutely love this apartment, it’s a true New Orleans house and feel to it, with the decor and the house itself I fell in love. the location is a few minutes walk to the ferry which takes you right to the centre of town. it’s not too busy or crowded and is a lovely neighbourhood. the host was amazing and friendly and nothing was too much thank you so much
nothing it was great

Cool little house was perfect for what we needed. Came into town for a cruise and needed a place for 2 families to crash the night before. This was perfect. It's a little older and has some quirks, but overall a really cool location. Don't expect the Four Seasons and you'll be fine. Host was super nice and lives right next door.

The fridge was stocked with fresh food and beverages. The open boxes of cereal that sat on top of the refrigerator should be replaced with unopened individual size boxes.
Upon arriving we were met by the owner who lives next door (very friendly fellow). The house was not ready, as if he forgot we were even coming. He showed us in and asked that we drop off our luggage and spend the day sight-seeing while he makes up the beds and cleans. He turned on a couple window air conditioners but let us know that it takes about a day for the house to cool down. As we entered the kitchen, it was obvious that the house had not been cleaned and a large container of bug spray sat in the middle of the kitchen floor... not a comforting feeling from the start. As we left on foot to explore New Orleans, we were very concerned with leaving our luggage behind as the house was not locked during the cleaning process. After returning that evening, the beds had sheets and our belongings were fine but the first time using the shower we were met with rusty water and bugs running out... and the bathroom still needed to be cleaned! Lastly the back section of the home was in desperate need of repair and a new back door for security purposes.

Only the location.
The place was not tidy, beds uneven und taped together, humid air, wet carpets on the floor, cockroachs in the kitchen, shower not working properly, expired bread in the fridge as breakfast.

everything.. especially sitting on the porch swing in the
morning with a cup of coffee, and then going to feed
the ducks with my little girl. will definitely be coming
back to stay soon..
had to leave too soon.. 😔.. but that’s our fault..

The house was very welcoming as we entered, the decor and the lighting was very lived-in and comforting. The property itself was a great location from the ferry it was a short walk so we are able to be close to the city but able to come back to somewhere quiet at night in Algiers point! Joey left us very helpful local guides of where to eat both in Algiers and in the French Quarter area of New Orleans.
The house was beautiful, but it was an older house and came with some problems that an older house has. The back mud room/ laundry room had some broken tiles, but they were covered up for safety. The door in that back room also did not completely fit the frame, but I assume it will be fixed in the future.

It was quite charming in an eclectic way. There were all types of breakfast foods and drinks. That was a nice touch. The ducks were a pleasant surprise. Joey was a great host.
The washer leaked. But really, who does laundry on vacay.

Funky charm, quiet neighborhood, well stocked kitchen, friendly and available host, feeding the geese.
Temperature could be difficult to regulate, squeeky mattress covers

The neighborhood was quaint and quiet.
Host, although pleasant, said he forgot we were coming, although we had messaged several times. He walked in on us as we were unloading, saying he was going to mop the floor. Beds were not made...he brought me sheets and I helped change 3 beds for us to use. The house was very dirty. I had to clean the toilet before we could use it. Electrical outlets were overloaded with extensions.Host seemed very confused and had it not been so late with few available options in New Orleans, we would never have stayed.

Joey was a great host. We had a small problem but Joey was very helpful and solved it to our satisfaction. There was a well stocked fridge when we arrived, that was very nice.
The beds could be more comfortable.

Bed very comfortable. Place was close to a lot of stuff. Loved the decor. Owner very friendly and loved that I had a few groceries already there since we got in so late.
