Exceptional
The room was very clean! Loretta made us feel warm and welcoming. She helped us find places of interest and her breakfast and muffins were delicious ! Would definitely stay there again!
There are no lights on the streets so it is a hard place to find at night!

Impeccable service! Would recommend this to anyone who’s looking for a traditional bed-and-breakfast
The hospitality and coziness of the room. I felt at home and the hostess went way out of her way! Nothing like I’ve experienced. It was the fusion of old school and new school!!!

time travel charming B&B
comfy and charming rooms (we were in the Arthos king bed one) with the most amazing breakfast served by Loretta. she cooks whatever you prefer and we enjoyed a lot talking a bit with her (she is discreet and doesn’t want to disturb your stay!). would come back any time we want to go to Hudson area.

Time slows down here, soak it in, unwind, explore.
It was a welcoming, quiet, sweet sturdy historic inn with cozy beds, soft sheets, modern conveniences, with a great a balance of intimate and private. Loretta is your friendly, unintrusive innkeeper who offers plenty of good food, fresh baked goodies and warm hospitality to start your day with. We stayed in the roomy Aramis Suite, perfect for older Mom & daughter, parent/s and kid, just 2 friends, or fussy couples. Nice big private bathroom. Was quiet and we slept sound all night. Location: tucked off a main road, a long stones throw from the cool restored historic West Taghkanic Diner. (limited open hours/days, plan ahead). Book lovers: Aprox 10 mins east or west are 2 wonderful, unique bookshops- Little Red Book Shack and Rogers Book Barn. Northwest is Olana, a fascinating historic home overlooking the Hudson built by Frederick Church painter, world traveler, naturalist, and influencer to the NYC Central Park design architects. Don’t miss the gift shop! A drive along little nearby winding roads is extra rewarding with autumn leaf change underway, but every season will offer something extraordinary. Vermont or NW Mass. day trip is doable but leave early while light out. Wifi is poor in 15 mile area (with AT&T anyway), and when very dark are few lights or visual markers.
Hot water slightly pokey to come up in my bathroom shower but lasted a long while and got very hot. No complaints or issues, was a restful, peaceful stay. Wifi inside the B&B is strong but beware poor reception in the general area esp if driving at night within a 15 mile radius- gets very dark and locals drive faster than you may want to. Remember your location, follow a busy road if you get lost. Recommend to download a map of local roads btwn Red Hook, Hudson, and Kinderhook so you have a reference.
