Hôtel très confortable avec service 5 étoiles !

Tout était parfait ! La chambre est très grande et propre. Le personnel et le gérant étaient vraiment accueillants et serviables. Nous avons eu l’impression d’avoir un service 5 étoiles ! L’hôtel en lui même est également un très bel endroit, proche du centre mais tout de même assez éloigné pour être au calme. Je ne peux que recommander cet hôtel pour découvrir Dambulla et Sirigiya !

Good hotel with a great swimming pool

It's the swimming pool that made this hotel great. After a day of sightseeing it was lovely to take a dip in the pool to cool off. They even supply pool towels. The hotel itself was good with a nice spacious clean room with coffee and tea making facilities. There was a large complimentary bottle of water on arrival and they also gave us another. There were little bottles of shampoo and conditioner and a small bar of soap. The shower was hot and worked well, but no separate cubicle so the whole bathroom got a soaking. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows. The hotel is in a good location for the town and it about a one and a half kilometre walk to the Golden Temple. We would recommend Manj Restaurant & Bar for a beer and an evening meal as everything is cooked fresh and very reasonably priced. Their fries and curry leaves as a snack with a beer are amazingly delicious.

Lots of showers in Sri Lanka, like the Freedom Hotel, have no separate shower cubicle. I hate paddling about in the bathroom after a shower. Otherwise all good.

Schöne Unterkunft

Das Freedom Village überzeugt mit einem sehr guten Preis- Leistungsverhältnis und einer etwas abgelegenen Lage. Zu Fuß ist man schnell im Zentrum. Außerdem gibt es einen sehr sauberen Pool und seit kurzem einen neuen Mitarbeiter, der deutsch spricht und während unseres Aufenthalt super bemüht und sehr freundlich war. Immer wenn wir nach Hause gekommen sind, war er da und hat uns willkommen geheißen.

Recommend this resort to everyone

We had a pleasant stay at your hotel, for breakfast they serve fabulous sri lankan food and its very tasty, Pool is quite clean, room was very spacious and comforty, Staff is very friendly and they gave us full service very fast and that's appreciated. Thank you for your hospitality, in advance I would like to recommend this resort to everyone for those who like to stay liberty

Einfach nur toll!

Die Unterkunft ist ruhig gelegen und eine kleine Idylle. Man ist trotzdem in wenigen Gehminuten auf der „Hauptstraße“ mit einigen Restaurants. Die Zimmer sind groß und gut ausgestattet, das Bad ist ebenfalls top. Auch der Pool war sehr schön. Besonders positiv empfanden wir die Besitzer, wir haben selten so eine Gastfreundlichkeit erlebt.

The small touches like the welcoming glass of juice on arrival, free bottle of water and fridge, tea kettle in the room. The staff are very friendly and helpful. And of course the large pool is a god send after a hot day of walking or biking.

Fijn verblijf voor tussenstop.

Groot zwembad met ligbedjes. Brachten matrasjes en badhanddoeken als je daar lag. Erg fijn. Alles is netjes onderhouden. Fijne kamer met balkon. En goed matras en klamboe. Het ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid en erg lekker. Fijne plek om even als tussenstop te doen. Mooie omgeving.

De communicatie gaat via 1 van de heren. De rest kan bijna geen engels. Lokatie is op een wat verlaten stukje. 2 restaurants in de buurt. Je kan er een scooter huren.

Anhalten, staunen, bleiben, relaxen!

Etwas zurückversetzt und deshalb ruhig (ausgenommen bellende Hunde und krähende Gockel), direkt angrenzend an grüne Felder. Grosszügige Zimmer, sauber und bequem. Total freundliche Boys, die alles machen, dass es einem gut geht. Der Pool ist super, gross und sauber. Es fehlt etwas an genügend Liegen und auch die wenigen Mietfahrräder sollten dringend erneuert werden. Aber sonst ein wirklich guter Ort zum Ausspannen. Wir haben spontan von 2 auf 4 Nächte verlängert. Leider muss im Moment wegen Fehlen (?) der Kreditkartenmaschine alles cash bezahlt werden. Das Zentrum mit Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants liegt etwa 10 Minuten zu Fuss entfernt. Dambulla hat uns als Ort gefallen, vor allem die Felsentempel.

Rundum Perfekt

Sehr freundlicher Empfang mit Saft und einem kleinem Snack. Große Zimmer, schön Pool und gepflegt Anlage. Kleiner Fahrten in die Umgebung werden kostenlos vom Gastgeber angeboten, größer Ausfahrten zum guten Preis organisiert. Frühstück wird nach persönlichen Wünsche zubereitet. Hier gibt es absolut nicht zu bemängeln.

Super Hotel für Traveller ohne Touristen ;-)

Es handelt sich hier um ein Hotel für Locals. Der Standart des Hotels ist sehr gut. Mein Zimmer hatte Klima, Föhn, Moskitonetz und alles was notwendig ist. Die Eigentümer und das Personal sind mega freundlich und helfen sehr gerne weiter. Auch habe ich mir den eigenen Scooter ausleihen dürfen. Und das Frühstück ;-) unbedingt dazu buchen. Es war so viel, traditionell und super lecker.

Eigentlich nichts. Landestypische gibt es ein paar kleine Tierchen :-)

Superb

We stayed 3 nights. Room was big and clean, little fridge in the room is a plus. Aircon works very poorly. Bathroom was clean but disgusting smell came out from toilet all the time. The highlight is the big, clean swimming pool.

Don't expect any help from staff as they almost didn't talk to us. There is drinking water available but I found it out reading other reviews as the staff never told us.

Amazing breakfast but the staff is the best part. Organised a tour for us and took as in the evening to a very nice temple to watch the sunset (free of charge) was honestly really nice and such a good atmosphere no other tourists!

Great experiance

We highly recommend staying at this hotel. Hotel run by a lovely family. Bóg room, delicious breakfast, peace and quiet. At the end od aur staying owner the hotel dropped us off on a bus to Kandy and packed us something to eat for the road! it was a great experience :) thank you for everything 🤝

Loved the pool. Had a relaxing swim after the trek at Sigiriya Lion Rock. The rock mountain view from my room terrace was awesome. The surroundings was so amazingly quiet and birds sound will wake you up in tne morning. We rented a motorbike from the hotel and surrounding tourist spots were made accessible by it.

Very comfortable and great value for money

Rooms are large and spacious. Breakfast is a delicious selection of local fare (as well as toast). The free dinner on the last night was a nice surprise and also delicious. The packed breakfast was very good. The pool area is great. Staff are friendly and helpful. I could see the Golden Buddha from my balcony. For the cost this is a really great option.

There is no safe. There is no wardrobe, only a few coat hooks. There are only 4 pool loungers. There is no generator They have no credit card machine despite asking for credit card details when booking. On check out, they insisted on cash, but eventually relented and we had to go to their friend’s shop in town to pay with a CC. The ‘call to prayer’ from the local place of worship is extremely loud and starts very early in the morning and takes place a number of times during the day.

The staff and site were of a very high standard. They even taxi'd us for free late at night when we arrived to get some dinner. They also offered to let us stay several hours past our check-out time to help us.

Absolutely nothing! We wished we could have stayed for longer.
