Friendly host, room does not have good value for money.

Lady of the house was extremely friendly although we did not really see much of her after checking in for explanations. During our time it was quite calm.

Shared bathroom could be tidier and the bed linnen and pillows provided were mediocre.

Great budget option.

Great value for money. Still at a walkable distance from the station. Bike use was neat!

The place was rather noisy. I could hear every other guest stomping around.

The host is very friendly and kind. The house has large and well kept common spaces with a kitchen and dining area available. The rooms are very quiet

Definitely worth considering.

I think that Miyako House is an ideal place for a single person looking to stay in Hachioji for a couple of weeks. It's close to the station (10 mins by bus) and if you're hard pressed, you could even walk there comfortably in about 25 minutes. It's definitely more expensive than most places but since it's a service apartment, you don't have to pay bills. Grocery stores are around a 7-10 minute walk away. Friendly and helpful owners.

The homeowner speaks only Japanese so keep your google translate handy. The free cycles are useful but slightly old, though you can get by on them if you need to use them. The flat has a very small kitchen, and there are some utensils but no plates, spoons or forks- I had to borrow some from a friend.
