Whilst being an ideal location for our stay we were disappointed with some of the cleanliness of the property and the fa

Ideally situated in Rutland. The bedding and towels were clean , the beds very comfortable.

The grill pan was dirty, the majority of the mugs were badly stained, there were dirty spoons in the cutlery drawer which looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned out in a while. There wasn’t any tea towels or washing up liquid, the cloth which we presumed was a dish cloth was stained and there was only one dishwasher tablet. The milk that had been left for us was already opened. There was an out of date croissant in the bread bin. The microwave was dirty too. There was about a third of a toilet roll in two of the three bathrooms. There was a large stain on one of the sofas. There were no keys to open either the back door or the door to the patio. I spoke with one of the owners when we discovered the dirty crockery and cutlery , he did offer to send someone round the next day to sort out however we were only there for two nights and weren’t happy for anyone to enter whilst we were not there. He did say that the property was supposed to have had a deep clean a few weeks before!!

Great for Rutland anglers

Great sized house, brilliant location for access to Oakhams facilities. A short trip to Rutland water which was excellent for us anglers

Allocated car parking space was a bit awkward for a larger car depending on how the neighbours had parked.However the available on street parking is more than adequate

It really wasn’t very clean at all, dusty with hairs in the corners and very grubby in other places

Superb

It is in an excellent location. Very quiet but within easy walking distance of all the sights. The house is very well equipped and comfortable.

Not much to dislike. If I was being very picky I would say the kitchen cupboards were a bit "tired " and consequently felt not 100% clean. But I would definitely stay there again.

House suited purpose and in a good location

Good locality to town and railway station with plenty of pubs to eat in. Nice touch for tea coffee and milk to be there.

Cups in cupboard were quite heavily stained and needed to be properly scrubbed clean before use. And one or two maintenance issues in ground floor toilet.

Great stay to attend a family wedding

Despite confirming there would be an ironing board available we could not find one and the owner failed to answer our messages asking for one.

We loved Oakham and the surrounding area

The !ocation and accomodation were perfect close to rutland water and other towns. We will definately stop in this lovely house again

This house suited our needs and the location so close to the station was a big bonus.

Happy to put bins out at the end of the stay but could't see a list of items that can be recycled in the info folder. Can you please provide one as each district recycles different items etc.

Comfortable, good value house near high street and Rutland Waters

Great location near high street. Comfortable beds. Clean. Good towels and bedding. Garden to store bikes. Parking space.

Lounge/diner was rather small but didn't detract from our enjoyment of the house.

We had an excellent time

If one person was showering and someone else used the water else where in the property the water would go off mid shower. The outside space could have been cleaner and maybe more seats to sit on as there was 4 of us. Soft furnishings were very tired and the lounge rug was very stained and dirty.
