Exceptional

Large green area, large multi-level swimming pool, very good cuisine, rooms with large terraces, air conditioning and good breakfast. very helpful staff.

Think carefully before booking this hotel

There is no doubt that this is a fantastic location. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful.

This hotel is really set up for events rather than guests staying for a few nights. Rooms are very basic, breakfast buffet poor. There are none of the usual toiletries you would expect - shower gel, shampoo etc. - one little basic soap bar. You should also know that the swimming pool will be closed to guests in the afternoon if there is an event planned. For us, this meant that for the first three days, we couldn't use the pool in the afternoon. Staff are just not geared up for hotel guests and were pretty unpleasant at times. We really felt that we were a nuisance to the main events business. If you would like a drink beside the pool, or maybe eat something during the day - forget it. Everyone is too busy preparing the the evening's events. There are no towels for the swimming pool and the pool was very dirty with leaves, algae etc Having said all that, the location and park around the hotel and the swimming pool are splendid.

Garden and swimming pool area are beautiful. The room is spacious.

The bathroom is too dark. No many choices for breakfast. Swimming pool is not always available.

Did what it needed to do for our stay for us visiting a wedding party

The manager tried her upmost to engage and accommodate and the grounds were lovely

Breakfast was extremely poor, items left out for the whole week resulting in stale cake breads and cereal by the end of the week, pool access was limited, transfer service was limited, the room was small and plugs caused electric shocks repeatedly,

Pleasant

Charming site beautifully laid out with lovely character. The bedrooms however are somewhat 2 star in terms of facilities. There was a lack of basic facilities with the only mirror in the bathroom and the shutter latches outside not working. The tv didn’t work easily and there was no explanation of its Sky box. The swimming pool is lovely but only available when there is no event at the place whose main focus Is as an event venue- weddings, first communion etc. There’s a bar but no tariff. The staff are charming but there are no taxis and the taxi driver the hotel offers is an amateur and overpriced. So charming but a bit ramshackle as a hotel which isn’t ok given the tariff.
