About the home

"Waikiki Dream" is a delightful double-storey family home in Smiths Beach just a comfortable walk from the beach and a short drive from the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes and Cape Woolamai. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

Downstairs is a large 2nd Living Room (with TV) and Bedrooms 2, 3, 4 & 5 (each with BIR), the main bathroom (with shower & toilet) and a fully equipped laundry (with washing machine & clothes dryer). There is internal access to the rear yard through the Laundry. The huge upstairs open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living Room (with flat screen TV, DVD player & Coonara wood heater) has delightful views over Smiths Beach and provides access to a rear & front deck, a separate toilet and Bedroom 1 which features BIR and an ensuite (with shower & toilet).

Outdoor Areas

There is a rear private upstairs deck (with gas BBQ and outdoor setting), plus a second balcony at the front of the house that has been recently extended and features gorgeous water views. The driveway provides parking for up to 4 vehicles (cars and/or a boat), and the garage has a table-tennis table for some great family fun. The rear yard is fully fenced (perfect for children or pets) and also features a hot & cold water outdoor shower.

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, coffee machine (Nespresso Pod), toaster, kettle, rice cooker, air fryer, etc. plus a sink, fridge, dishwasher, oven and cook top.

Heating/Cooling Systems

The home has 2 wall-mounted reverse cycle air-conditioning units - one in each living room. The Coonara style fireplace will keep you nice and warm and there is also one portable stand alone fan.

Bedding Configuration

This home has 10 beds, accommodating up to 14 guests:

Bedroom 1 (upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (downstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 3 (downstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 4 (downstairs): One Tri-Bunk bed and One set of Single bunks
Bedroom 5 (downstairs): One set of Single bunks and one Single bed

Please note the Tri-bunk is a double bed base with a single bed above it.

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.

The house is better than described. Very large, with the plenty of space to spread out. Well appointed and everything was in a clean and working condition. The property was also very well maintained and has plenty of parking for 6 cars in the driveway.

The house was in a great location, and was better than expected. Very clean and well presented, with everything you could possibly need and extras you hadn’t even thought of. Host was very helpful and responded straight away to any questions. Highly recommended

Our stay was nice with spacious living area and the neighbourhood is calm. The walk to Smiths beach is not far. The house has a Toto toilet which was the feature elders will appreciate. Will definately book again.

Fabulous house for a beach holiday, perfect layout, awesome kitchen and views. A few issues with the agents and not having the clean done in time, we waited til we’ll after 4pm to get in. Grass was long and not kept well for such an expensive rental, but overall it’s a top notch family home and we had a ball. These were minor things to mention to the managers, as far as the home goes will be back! Thank you

Good house for multi-generational holiday. Great location and lots of space, unfortunately it’s in need of a few repairs and care. Problems. It was difficult to access key for entry (told to bash on it and finally my husband’s hit loosened the key lock). Back fence broken so yard was not pet or preschooler friendly as advertised (repaired beautifully while we were there). Outdoor seating was ripped and unsafe; needs replacing. Backyard was not accessible from backdoor as it wouldn’t open (locksmith needed). One single bed collapsed due to slats being too short; not safe. BBQ badly rusted so we thought it was unsafe to use. Lots of rubbish left under and in downstairs couches, so perhaps not cleaned property. Some doona covers were stained. One room oddly set up...queen bed at one end overlapping window (cold at night) and bedside tables and broken tv down the other end. Kitchen needs spring clean as some drawers were dirty. Sadly the house is no longer a dream.

The property is very spacious and great location walking distance to the beach. Driving distance to Cowes. Views of the water from the upstairs lounge area. The kitchen is fully equipped. Highly recommended.
