About this house rental

Only a 200 metre flat walk to Paihia Village and Wharf - beach across the road.

Bayswater Holiday Home has two levels

Top floor open plan kitchen, dining and lounge plus bathroom, huge deck with BBQ, great views.

Below four double bedrooms - three with Queen Beds and one with a Double Bed - sleeps 8 - Master Bedroom has an en-suite bathroom. There is also another bathroom and a lounge area with 2 king singles. So up to 10 in total.

Bayswater is a home that can accommodate up to 10 guests but we have priced it so two people or more can book it and get the advantage and space of a large home but not pay for what they would not use. All we do is lock off rooms that won't be used

For example a couple staying will have the Master Bedroom downstairs with en-suite bathroom and the entire first floor - heaps of space. With two couples, one couple will have the Master Bedroom with the en-suite bathroom and the second couple will have the second bedroom with their own bathroom adjacent and so on with another two bedrooms and two singles in the downstairs lounge area. Paihia waterfront location makes this holiday home one of the best in the bay. It’s only a 5 minute flat walk to Paihia township and wharf which is the tourism hub of the Bay of Islands.

The beach is across the road.

Perfect for two people who want space....or a large family. Even better for two couples travelling together.

There is off-street parking for three cars .

The big plus for this holiday home is that once ensconced you don’t have to drive anywhere – everything in Paihia is a few minutes level walk away!

In front of the house is Paihia’s best known seafood restaurant – JFC - Just Fish & Chips– great location if you feel like dining out and don’t want to drive anywhere.

We were in Paihia for the Jazz and Blues festival and had 7 people staying in the house. Plenty of room for all of us. Great social spaces for hanging out. Great location as we could walk into town. We were all very happy with our stay. Would love to have had the opportunity to cook and dine around the lovely dining table but we were out and about enjoying the festival. Next time.

Fabulous spot for our group - 8 women all converging on Paihia to help celebrate my 70th birthday. Great deck for socialising; lovely big kitchen & lounges. Beds very comfy, & our group appreciated the 3 bathrooms.

Hosts were great and welcoming. Space was great for our large group - extra bathroom upstairs a real bonus. Felt clean and comfortable and had all the facilities we needed - special bonus is that Chester and Lou own the amazing JFC restaurant next door. Best seafood in the area I reckon and reasonably priced. Thank you so much

We really enjoyed our stay at this property in Paihia. We had 10 of our family stay they with ages ranging from 7 to 84 years old. Plenty of space for everyone. Nice comfortable living kitchen and sleeping area... Communication leading up to and during our stay was great. Messages were answered promptly as was any action required. Hand on heart only a couple very minor things missing in the kitchen like oven mits, tin foil and knives presharpenned. Again minor... only thing annoying was the element / hob was quite weak. 9.5 out of 10

Just the best spot in Paihia, right in the heart but feels private. Perfectly suited our needs as we were working but would definitely come back for a more relaxing break. The kitchen, dining and deck area is great for large groups and hosts very accomodating.

The location could not have been better. We were two families of four. The location could not have been better. There was a pontoon just across the road which our children made full use of. It was a short walk to town and the ferry and in the other direction it was an equally short walk to hire kayaks. We enjoyed the large living area and balcony. We would love to stay here again if we come back to Paihia.

Our family of 4 adults and 2 children thoroughly enjoyed their time at Bayswater. The property is beautifully presented - with lots of space and all you could wish for in the way of appliances etc. It is in a prime location and consequently access to Paihia Village and all that it has to offer is only a few foot steps away. Chester & Louise were wonderful to deal with - courteous and communicating with them prior to our visit was always immediately responded to.

We rented this place with 8 friends over the long weekend. The place is very spacious with nice clean rooms for everyone. The star of the show is the deck, its large with plenty of seating.. we took full advantage of the BBQ both days. The owner was very friendly as well, I would highly recommend this place.

Bayswater is ideally situated in central Paihia. As we were 8 adults travelling in 2 cars it was very convenient. Parking for both cars and also walking distance to the shops, restaurants and ferries made it easy for everyone to go their own way each day. Had a lovely swim at the beach opposite the house. The kitchen was well laid out and extremely well equipped. Outdoor seating for everyone and nice comfy lounge seating inside. We loved the bar. 4 bathrooms in all meant everyone was happy.

Amazing location...every morning I would open the sliding door & you could smell the sand/sea water, beautiful view from the balcony. 5 mins walk to the township, 5 mins drive to Waitangi, 5 mins to Haururu falls...I fully enjoyed my stay & I have recommend this place to my family/friends.
