We had an incredible time in Hemsedal for our honeymoon. We were looking for plenty of opportunity for outdoor adventures and we found it! After long days of hiking, e-biking, or mountain carting, we were so happy to have such an amazing cabin to come back to and relax for the evening. The cabin had everything we needed for our stay and more, and though we didn't need any assistance we appreciated how communicative Arnfinn was and knew that we'd be supported quickly if we needed anything!

Natur pur und norwegische Gemütlichkeit
Wir verbrachten eine wunderschöne Woche in der traumhaft direkt am See gelegenen "Hütte". Die Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen, sodass auch ein Regentag die Stimmung nicht trübt. Der Kontakt mit dem Gastgeber war sehr angenehm und unkompliziert. Wir kommen jederzeit gerne wieder.

Cozy lake house
We enjoyed our stay at Arnfinn’s place very much. The house has everything you can ask for and more. It has a great outdoor with the patio in frint of the house and another one right by the lake plus the nature all around with all kind of hikes close by. Also we felt very comfortable inside with the large table and the couch which is great for reading, napping and tv.
We most certainly recommend staying here.

We spent one week in the beautiful cabin over New Year 2019/2020. Both Arnfinn and Robert were extremely friendly hosts and also very helpful. On Friday evening when our car had to be town out of the deep snow, they organized the local driver immediately. Kudos to both of them!

Komfortabel und sauberes Haus in toller Lage
Das Haus war sehr gemütlich und komfortabel eingerichtet mit tollem Blick auf den See vom Schlafzimmer und der Terasse aus.
Ein Ruderboot steht zur Verfügung.
Sehr schöne Wanderungen gibt es in direkter Nähe.
Eine Fahrt zum nächsten Fjord dauert ca. 1,5 Stunden.

Nochmals vielen Dank für die tolle und unglaublich erholsame Zeit in Hemsebu. Die Hütte ist wirklich sehr schön gelegen und in einem sehr guten und sauberen Zustand. Der See direkt vor der Tür und das Skigebiet Hemsedal (ca 15min mit dem Auto) hatte für jedes Familienmitglied was zu bieten. Auch die Loipen direkt vor der Haustür waren in gutem Zustand. Nach einem sportlichen Tag draußen, freute sich jeder wieder auf die sehr gemütliche und gut ausgestattete Hütte. Die Betten waren super bequem und die gemütlichen Kamine spendeten Wärme und Erholung. Der Blick vom Bett auf den See unbeschreiblich. Die Hütte war zu jedem Zeitpunkt mit dem PKW gut zugäglich, da täglich ein Räumfahrzeug dafür sorgte. Auch das Medienangebot ob Internet oder Netflix funktionierten tadellos, für Brennholz war auch gesorgt. Sitzmöglichkeiten draußen, wenn die Sonne da war und ein Abstellraum für die Skiausrüstung etc. waren ebenfalls gegeben. Die Buchung und Betreuung war unkompliziert und klappte sehr gut. Wir erlebten einen sehr gelungenen Urlaub und kommen gerne wieder.

Een heerlijk huis in een prachtige omgeving
Het huis ligt echt prachtig aan een meertje op zo'n 800 meter hoogte aan de voet van de hogere bergen in Noorwegen. Binnen is het heerlijk knus met 2 houtkachels (en hout!) en alles wat je nodig hebt, is aanwezig.
De omgeving leent zich heel goed voor fietsen en wandelen. Wij hadden de mountainbikes mee en de omgeving ligt vol met onverharde paden. Een aantal ervan lopen alleen wel dood dus je moet de route van te voren wel een beetje plannen. Vanuit het huis kun je direct de Skogshorn (1728 meter) beklimmen met adembenemend uitzicht met aan de ene kant de lagere 'vlakte' en aan de andere kant de besneeuwde bergtoppen van het hooggebergte.
In een uur rijden door het prachtige hooggebergte kom te bij de fjorden. Daar hebben wij een fjordsafari gedaan die misschien wel de beste indruk geeft van de overweldigende fjorden.
Wij waren hier met onze kinderen van 7, 10 en 12 jaar oud in de herfstvakantie en het was heerlijk droog en vrij helder weer met temperaturen rond het vriespunt. Kortom, wij hebben een geweldige herfstvakantie gehad!

Gemütliches Ferienhaus in sensationeller Lage
Haus liegt am Seeufer mit Terrasse direkt am Wasser, Ruderboot und Bademöglichkeit. Sensationeller Blick vom Haus über den See. Absolute Ruhe, nur erreichbar über Privatpiste (Sackgasse). Unzählige Wandermöglichkeiten in der Umgebung und direkt am Haus. Wer Pilze oder Blaubeeren sammeln will kann direkt vor der Haustür damit anfangen.
Haus ist recht neu, Ausstattung gemütlich und geschmackvoll. Küchengeräte vollständig und hochwertig.
Wer erholsamen Urlaub inmitten unberührter Natur sucht ist hier richtig.

Das perfekte Haus in der perfekten Urlaubsgegend
Für uns alle hat sich die weite Reise nach Hemsebu gelohnt. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt, den See vor der Nase, eine wunderbare Aussicht und das Gebimmel der Schafsglocken um uns herum. In der Umgebung sind viele lohnenswerte Ziele, herausfordernde Wanderrouten mit gigantischen Ausblicken über Norwegens Landschaft. Auch unsere Männer kamen mit ihrer Angelleidenschaft nicht zu kurz. Und um alles abzurunden sind wir auch den Elchen begegnet, was aber alles gut ausging.Norwegen , insbesondere Hemsebu, sind allemal eine Reise wert.Vielen Dank noch einmal an unsere Gastgeber, es hat alles gepasst.

Schönes Ferienhaus in ruhiger Lage und traumhafter Umgebung
Wir haben zum ersten Mal Urlaub in Norwegen gemacht und hatten uns für das Haus wegen seiner direkten Lage am See und der Nähe zu Hemsedal entschieden: mein Sohn hat das Fliegenfischen für sich entdeckt. Der warme Sommer hat aber auch seine Tücken: die Flüsse waren aufgrund der Wassernot zum Fischen leider gesperrt.
Die Möglichkeiten in der Umgebung sind vielseitig, wer gern wandert findet jeden Tag einen anderen interessanten Gipfel mit fantastischer Aussicht.
Der Kletterpark in Hemsedal ist eine Empfehlung, schon die erste Seilbahn mit ca. 100m quer über den Fluss ist ein Erlebnis.
Das Ferienhaus selbst ist sehr gut ausgestattet und gemütlich. Für regnerische Tage hätte man eine überdachte Terasse, für schöne Tage hätte man eine Terasse am Haus mit Blick auf den See. Aber wir hatten unsere Sonnenterasse direkt am See, und wir hatten wirklich zwei Wochen Sonne. Es ist schon ein Genuß gewesen jeden Abend bei schönem Wetter auf der kleinen Terasse direkt am See zu sitzen. Ein Buch, ein Glas Wein, Spiele mit den Kindern: alles bei absoluter Stille und einem herrlichen Blick auf den See...

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus
Auf der Suche nach einem idealen Ort um das Fliegenfischen zu erlernen, sind wir auf dieses Ferienhaus gestossen. Im Juni 2018 waren wir zu viert vor Ort und waren rundum begeistert. Sowohl die Ausstattung als auch die Lage des Hauses lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig. Die umliegenden Berg- und Seenwelten sind atemberaubend.
Die Kommunikation und Informationsaustausch mit Arnfinn Istad haben tadellos funktioniert.
Der zweitägige Einsteigerkurs im Fliegenfischen unter Leitung des lokalen Guides "Trond Hagen" war ein voller Erfolg. Auch in den rund um das Haus gelegenen Gewässern konnten wir tolle Erlebnisse beim Fischen verbuchen. So konnten wir abends, dank der gut ausgestattete Küche und dem vorhandenen Holzkohlegrill diverse Fischgerichte zubereiten und geniessen.
Weitere Freizeitaktivitäten in der Umgebung sind sehr vielseitig.
Wir würden uns freuen eines Tages erneut in diesem Haus logieren zu können.

Gemütliches Haus in wunderbarer Lage
Wir haben als Familie eine wunderbare Weihnachtswoche im norwegischen Winter verbracht. Der Blick aus dem Schlafzimmer direkt auf den verschneiten See und die dahinter liegende Berge ist unvergleichlich. Die Bilder zeigen tatsächlich die Wirklichkeit - das Haus ist dezent und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, mit modernen Geräten und bietet alles, was man braucht. Vermieter und der örtliche Ansprechpartner haben sich umgehend gekümmert. Der Privatweg zur Hütte wird auch im Winter zügig geräumt, sodass die Erreichbartkeit auch mit normalem PKW gegeben ist.
Nach langen Tagen auf den Skipisten in Hemsedal war es immer wieder schön, in das warme Haus zurück zu kehren und den Kamin anzuzünden. Für die nassen Skisachen ist sogar ein separater Trockenschrank vorhanden.

Fantastic cabin, highly recommend
Thank you Arnfinn for allowing us to stay in cabin Hemsebu. The cabin is extremely well equipped to a very high standard and the view of the lake is perfect. The table and bench by the lakeside is perfect for a morning coffee. We enjoyed the Hemsedal area and hiked in the mountains and tried Via Ferrata. Communication with Arnfinn was excellent and access to the house was very easy. All in all, it was the perfect location and cabin for our family and we hope to return one day.

Hemsebu liegt traumhaft schön auf einer Halbinsel im Storevatnet unterhalb des Skogshodn. Schwalben, Eichhörnchen, Flitztiere und Schafe hat man als Nachbarn. Das Haus ist top modern ausgestattet und der Vermieter kümmert sich rührend um seine Gäste. Die Hemsil ein wunderbarer Fliegenfischfluss liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe und mit der Wochenangelkarte darf man 4 Flüsse und 18 Seen befischen.
