The staff were all so helpful and friendly and they really go beyond. Especially Ayuri who is so sincere and really great service provided from check in. Love the Tajima beef and crab meals provided by the hotel too.
Nothing!

First time visiting Kinosaki Onsen and so far this has to be among the best onsen town experience and I had been to many. Location of Sensui is perfect, away from the busiest streets and yet in easy walking distance to the public baths -- the onsen passport system of public baths is in my opinion the highlight of this trip. We ordered the upgraded dinner menu with local crabs and beef, together with the farm-to-table vegetables and umami from the perfectly done dashi, the quality exceeds that of many onsen ryokan's. The staff 岩崎さん who served us was also super friendly and added to the overall hospitality. Highly recommended!
There was some confusion during check-in with our multiple family groups / bookings getting a bit mixed up :-) Nothing serious but could have been smoother...

Everything was perfect, the room, the village, the baths. We book with dinner and the food was excellent, one of the best of Japan. The staff was the best we meet of the whole trip. Special thanks to Ayuri for make us feel like home!

The location is great and the staff are so lovely. Our room was comfortable and large. There are 3 private onsen available to use whenever you like. They were never busy during our stay so we got to use them whenever we wanted. The food in the restaurant is good and the dining room is simple and stylish.
I view would have been nice but we booked last minute

beautiful ryokan tucked just at the back street off the main road which made it very accessible. dinner and breakfast were delicious. shout out to our host Rika-san who was attentive and friendly during our stay. definitely recommend to anyone looking for a ryokan experience in kinosaki!
nothing in particular, but note that the room I booked was the traditional style which doesn’t come with a bathroom within your room, only a toilet - there are private onsen within the property you can book, or enjoy the various public bathhouses within town. there is also no lift in the building (if I recall it had 3 storeys) so just something to note if you have heavy luggages or it may be inconvenient

We had an amazing time at Sensui. The hotel was very nice: Traditional Japanese Tatami rooms, very clean, three different types of very nice Onsen rooms, which could only be used by hotel guests. The food was delicious, starting from the welcoming tea with typical Japanese sweets, the Japanese breakfast and one of our highlights: The kaiseki with the great cook! We received a Onsen pass with which we could visit the seven public baths in Kinosaki town. Also we received a Yukata, Geta shoes and socks and everything you need for the Onsen tour. But the best of our stay was the staff: Every one was very nice, polite and did their best to make our trip and stay memorable. We felt very welcomed as foreigners in Japan. As a good bye present we received a nice personal written message from the staff who was most of the time in charge of our staying. Also we received a framed picture of us which the staff made during our stay. We could add much more positive description for Sensui, but we recommend that you go there yourself and let yourself be surprised by the many beautiful moments at Sensui
Everything was perfect and nice, there are no negative things to say about !

Breakfast was lovely.
Fish on both days which I was fine with however on the second day there was 3 types of fish....a bit excessive.
When we returned from the publics onsets wearing our yukatas one of the staff took our photo and presented it to us in a frame when we left.
It was a lovely surprise.Thank you
We were on the second floor and I was travelling with my elderly mother.
I should have informed the hotel of this as the 4 flights of stairs was a bit much for her.
Also difficult to carry bags down. They were taken to our room on arrival and I could have asked for them to be brought down when we left I suppose.
We had the window open for some fresh air and there was a constant noise of running water. It was a bit annoying....nice at first but it became an irritant

The service and attentiveness of the staff. Dinner was exceptional. Comfy stay. Location was at the middle of the 7 public onsens.
A little hard to get hot drinking water. Nothing to complain about really.

We had a wonderful stay at Sensui. It has both a modern feel and the charm of a traditional ryokan. The facilities and rooms seemed very new. Sensui is located one street back from the Main Street in Kinosaki, making it convenient for getting anywhere in town but also quiet. We enjoyed the private bath rooms, and loved both the dinner and breakfast we had. Overall a very special treat and we would love to come back!
Nothing comes to mind.

We loved our stay at Sensui. The staff were very attentive, it was a very comfortable traditional Japanese style room. I had the best night sleep on the futon! The food (beef) was sensational - some of the. best food we had throughout our entire trip.
Hard to find downsides but if anything the room was slightly tired, but it is a traditional style room and was very comfortable. This didn’t affect our enjoyment of the trip.

The dinner and breakfast
The service felt very disjointed. For example, whilst we were checking in, the staff told us there was an upgrade available for a room if we paid. This was strange. We hadn’t even seen our room and they were suggesting we pay to upgrade it. When we asked to see our room in order to decide if we should upgrade we were ignored. Given how expensive our room was, this was odd. The gumboots provided to us didn’t fit us at all, and it was a difficult process getting them changed. Whilst the dinner was served in a beautiful room, and some of the courses were fantastic, like the oysters, the ‘Charcoal grilled Tajima beef’ was tough as old boots. For our second night in Kanosaki we stayed in another hotel, ‘Utsuroi Annexe’ which was superb and less than half the price.
