Great value for money with a quirky restaurant with excellent food & Dave was the perfect host.

The motel is a bit tired but Dave the owner was great & squeezed us in for dinner which was superb. We met other people staying there who were regulars which says it all.

The air-con/heating in the room next door was quite noisy.

A pleasant overnight after travelling on the Overlander.

The comfortable room and the restaurant meal (Kangaroo loin cooked just right)

Not being able to have a takeaway of my wife's leftovers as she does not eat big meals.

I don’t have high expectations of motels in general but this was one that I’d willingly return to especially for the restaurant, which was great. Run by a father & son, they were super-friendly and eager to ensure we had a good stay, which we did. The rooms (we had two, both on the upper floor) were clean, comfortable, well-equipped and quiet. The shower looked pretty new, had very good pressure and was wonderfully hot. The restaurant menu would be well-regarded in a big city hotel so to find this quality of food in a country motel was exceptional. Dave is both the owner and chef and he can definitely cook! Sometimes flowery descriptions are not matched by the actual food but that was not the case here. We had the prawns, scallops, fillet steak, pork ribs and steak & wine pie and all were delicious. A great mix of traditional and modern coooking. The building is, as it says, heritage, completed in 1868 so it may not appeal to guests who want a more modern setting. For those who like the charm of an old building with modern facilities, you’ll be very happy. We’d go out of our way to return some day.

Lovely age and character to this accommodation. Such a pleasant change. Beds extremely comfy and thankyou for the ability to be able to layer the bedding required 😀

The staff was so rude. They have a restaurant with this motel from where they want to make business by forcing guests technically to have meals from there. Usually, there is an oven if there is a fridge in a motel, but they didn't. They didn't want to provide some plates and spoons to have food in the room and behaved very rudely. I don't recommend this motel unless there is no other choice. Thanks

we were scammed on price online by either booking.com or property

The property was ok, but advertised price was not honoured by booking.com or property.

Advertised price was $72, we were charged $120 I have lodged formal complaint with my bank

Superb

Beautiful old heritage place, quiet, comfortable. Easy to access and parking in yard next to room.Friendly host. Had a beautifully cooked meal and good price. Thoroughly recommend this place

For the price we paid to stay it was worth it and we would recommend others to stay.

The room was clean and beds comfortable with electric blankets as it was cold being winter Being able to eat at the restaurant on site that night was so good The food especially the steak and the prawns were Amazing The staff were friendly and were quite Knowledgeable

There was parking available but for bigger vehicles it was abit tricky And depending on where you parked it was abit tricky coming in and out of the place But didn’t spoil our stay at all

Bed comfortable, shower good.

Room security. The second morning of my stay some tradies started working on putting strip drainage directly in front of the motel rooms. I went out for the day and on my return, to my astonishment, the door to my room was ajar and an extension cord was plugged into a power point inside. I raised this with the manager and he claimed no knowledge of it. I said that someone must have let them in. He apologised and said it must have been "the girl" who let them in. I have stayed in many many motels and never experienced such an appalling breach of my privacy and security.

Incredible restaurant in an unexpected location. Well worth a visit!

The restaurant was excellent and coriander prawns were exceptional!!! They were very accommodating when our arrival was delayed. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful.

It would be great if fresh coffee was available to buy from the bar in the mornings.
