About this cottage rental

Isfryn House has been very recently renovated to create a comfortable and stylish holiday home whilst still retaining the original features you would expect to find in a 250 year old listed cottage. With two double bedrooms (1 ensuite) and a single bedroom and family bathroom upstairs, there is a large double aspect lounge with wood burning stove and comfortable farmhouse style dining kitchen on the ground floor. Window seats can be found in the lounge and kitchen. A utility room with butler’s sink, washing machine and tumble dryer is at the rear of the property and there is a down stairs cloakroom. The house is pet friendly with steps leading up to an enclosed lawned garden with flower borders with further steps up to a BBQ patio area which is also a great sun trap. A big bonus for a holiday cottage in Dolgellau is the provision of off street parking for up to 2 cars.
Dolgellau is an attractive stone built town in the foothills of Cadair Idris in the south of Snowdonia National Park. Very close to the beautiful Mawddach estuary and 10 miles from the blue flag beach at Barmouth, coast, castles and a whole range of outdoor activities are all on your doorstep.
The town has a great variety of pubs and restaurants, all within easy walking distance of the cottage.

The title says it, after a tiring day walking or sightseeing, space to unwind, enclosed garden with plenty of privacy, all facilities and appliances you would want. All Dolgellau pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance, we tried them all!

Spacious house in great location
Spacious house in great location
Had a very enjoyable stay - house was spacious and well equipped. There was a small safe garden for the dogs - great it accepted 2 dogs and car parking. The hosts were lovely and so helpful. It was in an excellent position for walking into town where there were plenty of places to eat - most dog friendly. Highly recommend - we hope to go back.

Excellent cottage in a prime position
Excellent cottage in a prime position
Just returned home after a marvellous stay in South Snowdonia. The cottage was spotlessly clean and well laid out with a homely feel. Jan and Julie were lovely and offered some good tips for food and sight seeing and kindly had bread, milk and Welsh cakes awaiting us. The area is beautiful and very accessible and we were out every day, cycling or walking either in the mountains or along the coast, we also found excellent local restaurants and pubs. An excellent week and we will return in the future….

Great week away, lovely cottage in a great location
Great week away, lovely cottage in a great location
A great week away, this cottage was a home from home and the furniture is of good quality, great kitchen and garden, parking was ideal. The weather was mostly dry and sunny so made the most of visiting Snowdon and the surrounding area and local beaches. A short stroll to shops, pubs and restaurants. It was dog friendly and walks locally were handy. Definitely recommend the cottage.

Comfortable and characterful cottage
Comfortable and characterful cottage
Most comfortable and characterful cottage in the heart of Dolgellau. We have stayed in Isfryn House a number of times in the past but the current owners have sympathetically refurbished it in keeping with the original character with added contemporary comfort. We hope to stay here again many times in the future.
