Lovely property and would be even more enjoyable to stay in the summer to be able to use the fantastic balcony

Wonderful location- easy walk into town and beautiful large rooms and balcony.

Bathroom could use improvement. Window didn’t close entirely and they could have left us more toilet paper. Sofabed was fine but we ended up putting the mattress on the floor which was more comfortable as the springs squeaked a lot! The mattress was fantastic however so this worked well.

Extraordinaire! L'appartement est magnifique' la vue sur la terrasse grandiose,, Habitr la Villa Mascagni fait partie de nos plus beaux souvenirs. Un coup de coeur inoubliable. Situé près du centre de la plus belle Ville de Toscanne, Volterra en passant par un trop joli sentier L'accueil est chaleureux. Patrizio et Inge ont été parfaits! , notre séjour trop court est inoubliable.

Отлично местоположение! Красива къща и градина, много любезен персонал! Помогнаха ни с ценни информация за града и карта.

Внимавайте с паркирането - по-голяма кола трудно би влезнала в двора. Банята, разположена в стаята е ..без покрив.

Great płace for holliday in Italy.

Great location, Inge and Patricio were very nice and helpful. We love Volterra, especially beatifull old town. The food and staff at restaurant Etruria is amazing.

Pretty apartment within an elegant villa on the edge of Volterra

Great parking outside the villa. You can walk up the hill and steps to the old city without taking your car. Handy kitchenette.

More pillows. Only one per person.

Like a romantic movie set

The bus stopped just up the street. Very nice welcome from the couple that runs the place. We really appreciated eating breakfast in the beautiful garden. A nice and short walk to the center of town. Would love to stay here again.

Next time I'll only bring my husband😊

I would return to this hotel a thousand times! It was a dream. Great self check-in system, very nice staff, clean proper

Every single thing. The location, the villa, the garden, the apartment on the inside. Clean, big, open space. Clean bathroom. Great staff. Patricio was such a nice host. Great automatic system to check-in on your own.

Only thing I would suggest is to add a rug to the living room (interior designer’s opinion) also considering the tiles are cold during the night.

Elegant historic building with views!

loved the location - just a short walk up to the main city. the views out the window were amazing! the check in was easy. having a couple of complementary water bottle and a small fridge in the room was great.

I wish the owner would consider some small amenities. Shampoo, a small piece of soap for the shower, or perhaps some body wash. As a bike traveler, we carry very little in our packs . . .

it was well located and beautifully restored!! i am so grateful when folks take the effort yo restore some of these beautiful former mansions to their original beauty. i understand that it is not always the most cost effective and that it is something of a labor of love!!

The bathroom was a long way from the bedroom but I think that is just representative of the era.

A peaceful place to stay just a short walk away from Volterra

Patrizio was super responsive. We made the reservation only an hour before our scheduled arrival and he was graciously available to help us get settled upon our arrival. The villa (partitioned into several apartments) is located only a 10 minute walk from one of the entrances to Volterra. There is ample parking in front too.

Our unit was somewhat chilly, though the beds were warm and comfortable.

We totally enjoyed out stay except for the very uncomfortable bed.

The property is beautiful and in a perfect location.

The apartment we stayed in really needed a new bed.

Beautiful & Comfortable Place to Stay

Beautiful Villa, apartment and conveniently located with on site parking. Very close to the historic center via uphill steps and walking. It takes about 5-10 minutes to reach old town. Apartment was very spacious, nicely decorated. Enough dishes and glasses but lacking in condiments and cooking items. AC works well which was great because it was still warm past mid October and too much street noise and some mosquitoes to leave windows open. We loved the many big windows which let in lots of light. We had booked a garden view apartment with a microwave since most of our meals are at home. The first apartment we were shown didn’t have a microwave and when asked, Patrizio showed us another apartment which had one and looked exactly like the apartment photos we had booked. Host was very welcoming and informative. We would recommend this villa.

Would be nice to have a roll of paper towel or napkin and a few more cooking pots and utensils for real meal cooking

Villa Mascagni is a beautiful property very close to the city center with a very gracious and knowledgeable host.

it is a beautiful villa property with the most spectacular views and so close to the historic center. it was very comfortable and we felt at home immediately.

We would have appreciated bathroom amenities like shampoo and bath soap and regular coffee rather than ginseng coffee. Also we only had one small roll of toilet tissue and had to go buy some.

Exceptional

Charming old villa, just outside the medieval town centre on top of a hill. The host was very friendly. This was our second stay at Villa Mascagni and we hope to return soon.

No complaints, we had a great stay.
