The area is absolutely fantastic. The hosts are so welcoming! We felt right at home - my 3 year old daughter still asks about Marieta! The apartment we stayed was very spacious and had everything we needed in the kitchen. The homemade breakfast was delicious! Thank you so much, we will definitely be back!

We loved our stay! The apartments are clean, with a spacious living room with kitchen and dining area, a bedroom and a nice bathroom with shower and toilet. The area is beautiful, next to a river in a nice village in the valley. Free parking is available on premise. But the biggest reason to plan your next stay here are the hosts! They made us feel at home from the very first moment we arrived, warmly welcoming us with some nice local food specialties. They helped us plan our trips, they inquired how things went, they helped us find our way after some roads were closed due to storm damage. And they have the best optional breakfast we have had in a very long time! Do not hesitate to take it, everything they provide is either freshly made or sourced locally from the farmers. They start early in the morning baking fresh breads and traditional cakes. They provide meats, cheeses and yoghurts from local farmers. They make their own butter, marmelades and vegetables, they make fresh pancakes, eggs and omelettes. We cannot thank them enough for their hospitality, this was a perfect stay!

Nothing could have been improved, we enjoyed everything.

Warm and welcoming, the perfect place for a family vacation

We were heartily welcomed by the hosts with food and drinks, which was both nice and unexpected. They made us feel welcome from the first time we met. Everything is clean and carefully considered. Marijeta bakes fresh bread every day and her cookies were a treat regardless of the time of day (even after breakfast hours are closed). Food is locally made, fresh and organic. They were genuinely interested in our comfort and attentive to anything we might need. The beds are large and comfortable, the rooms have enough space for spending an afternoon resting or reading, and everywhere around the house there are places where we could sit and relax in the shadow or in the sun. Their farm and garden feels like a green paradise.

Everything! It's a beautiful place in a small village. The farm has a huge area around it, where kids can run freely, playing fields etc. The owners are super nice and very welcoming. Home-made breakfast to die for. Super! Location wise is great and good + cheap restaurants around for dinner, especially Taverna Petra which is few meters away. Thank you 👍

Fabulous stay with amazing hosts

Everything! The warmest welcome from Marjeta and Dušan who were amazing hosts for the entire duration. Breakfast was amazing, all homemade and very high quality. The location is fantastic in a small village within an hour of key locations in Slovenia, Bled, šoca Valley, Ljubljana etc. Absolute perfect stay, we will 100% be back.

Everything was amazing! We travel a lot and never felt as home as with Marieta and her husband. Such a warm welcome, our boys had fun (pingpong, jumping intro the river from the rocks, etc. The breakfast wauw! Clean and Nice apartment.

Superb

Staying at Tešnak is such an heart-warming experience, as we immediately felt at home there. We made friends with the animals, enjoyed the green spaces and saw the most spectacular of starry skies. Marjeta and Dušan are truly special people, it was a pity we just spent a couple of nights there. Breakfast was superb and genuine, a true gem. Thank you, we hope to come back soon!

Feeling at home on holiday

The owners are beyond friendly, they make you feel like part of their family. The location is perfect to go for hiking trails, to visit Bled or Bohinj or the capital ljubljana. The breakfast is really good, lots of homemade products, made with care and love. The room had all things needed.

Nothing really. Side note: If you are travelling as a couple and want a calm and quiet holiday without children, this may not be the place for you.

Wonderful!

The host family was just wonderful! They we're there to provide you with anything you wished for. The property was amazing: the garden was well-kept, flowers and trees were lush, the children adored the playground (both inside and outside). The breakfast exceeded our expectations by far.

We’ve had a wonderful stay here at the “….”. With delicious home made food, drinks and lovely hosts we could not have been welcomed in their home any better. Marietta and her husband are kind and very fun hosts to have around! We were taken care of perfectly. The lodge is located in a beautiful and peaceful valley, surrounded with a few houses with beautiful gardens and fruit trees all around. A small river runs through it and passes the lodge directly, where you can swim, bathe (if you’re up for a cold bath), relax, but also do crazy wakeboarding with a friendly adventurous neighbor. The lodge has a lot of free space and nice spots to relax, and the surroundings offer beautiful hikes, mountainbike routes, swimming spots and endless hillsides. Would recommend 10/10!

Warm, loving & ecological place, fully dedicated to a healthy living!

It was the most warmest welcome to Slovenia that we could wish for. Marjeta & Dušan are the most warmest hosts and their place and the area is so beautiful. The kitchen is always filled with aromas of freshly baked goods! All of the ingredients of the food comes from the farm itself. Our kids loved the company of the horses!

First the hosters was very welcoming and very kind to all the guests! Many tasty treats on the open kitchen with a big smile. It's not so far from all main attractions in Slovenia Definitely recommend and we will be back for sure.

It was a bit hot during the summer days But concidering that it's a green place it was very delightful and when you open the skylight You will smell the nature breeze

Stayed for a week. Very happy. Clean quiet spacious. Great hosts. Good value. Great for cycling. Easy to make good training rounds with sufficient altitude meters. The apartment is at the start of a nice 12k climb to a ski resort. parking space, space to store bike.

The hosts were lovely, beautiful rooms and amazing breakfast. This is a great place to slow down and enjoy nature and peaceful countryside. walk and cycle around, read a good book at the many sitting areas around the house. Don’t forget to reward yourself with the local craft beers which you can find in the fridge. This must be one of the most beautiful parts of Slovenia. No mass tourism, but still you can visit Ljubljana and Bled within an 1 hour drive. We will never forget this holiday and would love to come back.

Everything was fine. The hosts are very nice. Perfect with children. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast and the horse riding.

Incredible place!!

Originally we wanted to stay for two nights only - finally, we ended up extending our stay there twice - staying 8 nights in total (all our vacation) - as we enjoyed it so much! The breakfast and dinner, the owners and the wooden house are superb. The massages were awesome! We are so relaxed now! Thank you so much for your kind hospitality!

Our host (the whole family) was super lovely. They welcomed us with some food/drink as we are friends. The attitude, the atmosphere they created made us felt like we are home. The building was located in a nice and calm area. The breakfast was super delicious, you can choose from various food.

Warm hosts in an idyllic place

We really enjoyed our time with Marjeta and Dusan far away from daily hustle and city life. The accomondation is beautifully situated in the nature nearby nice river spots for a refreshment on hot days. Breakfast is awesome with lots of homemade stuff like bread, marmelade and various breakfast spreads. From the accommodation you can make wonderful day trips in all directions in Slovenia. We especially recommend the Tolmin Gorge and the Soca valley. We definitely fell in love with this place and hopefully will be back soon. Thank you Marjeta and Dusan for your warm welcome and help with everything!

I will come back there!

Breakfast was delicious! Homemade, fresh from local suppliers. Beautiful surroundings 🌷🌳 owners organize also some interesting workshops for whole family, so you can stay for one week and never be bored.

I would suggest only to install a special net on the windows to protect against some insects.

Unique Place!

Marjeta and Dušan are the greatest hosts we could find. They make this place magical. Marjeta cooks great, her rosemary cake was brilliant :) For breakfast, freshly baked bread, regional cheeses and cold cuts. Dušan organizes horse riding lessons and thanks to him my daughter was the happiest in the world. Thanks Dušan! We still remember when you galloped together with Martyna. This place is created by wonderful people and if you are looking for a unique place.I recommend it with all my heart!. See you in May 2022!

Very good and very recommended!

We have liked a lot our breakfast. (Fresh local products, home made bread, yogurts, marmealade, etc). We liked that this house is ozt of touristic overcroweded places. We have enjoyed calm and tranquility. The hosts are very friendly. Each room/flat is very cosy, made with love and clean. We have had a big sleeping room,nice kitchen and fantastic views from the windows.
