OTTIMA BASE DI APPOGGIO PER ESPLORARE LA LAGUNA!

Camera stupenda, un misto tra una capanna ed una palafitta. Grandi aperture finestrate su due lati della camera, una delle quali collegava ad un bellissimo terrazzino con una vista stupenda su tutta la laguna e la vegetazione. Colazione fantastica, servita con cestino davanti alla porta da consumare sul terrazzo privato. Un chicca preziosissima i due moli con accesso dedicato diretto sulla laguna e l' utilizzo delle canoe incluse tra i servizi a disposizione. Accoglienza affabile e amichevole

Manca l' insegna fuori senza la quale è un po' difficile trovare la struttura immersa nel verde. Forse il bagno un pò piccolo.

Charmante Apartments direkt am See

Sehr freundliche Gastgeberin. Man erhält jeden einen liebevoll zusammengestellten Frühstückskorb. Die Apartments haben einen Seezugang mit einem sehr schönen Steg, Liegestühlen, Kajaks etc. Die Anlage ist sehr schön gestaltet und es ist sauber mit schöner Bepflanzung etc. Die Zimmer sind nicht riesig, aber schön eingerichtet mit vielen Holzelementen.

Der Weg in die Stadt beträgt ca. 45 Minuten zu Fuss. Es hat viele Mücken, teilweise auch im Zimmer (die Holzhütten sind nicht vollständig abgedichtet. Es empfiehlt sich Mückenspray mitzunehmen.

Beauty Boa Boa

The experience in BoaBoa was amazing . The place has such a good vibe , staff super friendly . The view from the room was incredible . The complimentary breakfast on the terrace was really yummy . And we enjoyed using the kayaks for free, since most places have them for rent .

Excellent accomodations with a great view, but nothing more than that.

Location is great, the rooms are exactly as advertised. The shared areas were delightful to experience from the hammocks to the docks, both private and main. Everything was beautiful and looked more expensive than it was.

The place is really beautiful, but that's kind of about it. The beds weren't too comfortable, the room had a leakage and water came in when it rained. There wasn't food nor anything extra. It's just a room, and that is not enough value for the money we paid. It wasn't a bad experience by any means, I'm just not coming back because I can get more for that kind of money.

The view is amazing! The whole place is isolated, private and beautiful. The sheeta and bed are the most comfortable ive ever slept on. Everyone was lovely. The taxi service is fast cheap and easy to use and easily overcame the distance from centro issue. Fridge in the room

A very relaxing stay by the lagoon!

Great room with an amazing view from the balcony. The proximity to the lagoon was ideal.

There should have been more sun loungers on the jetty, and it was quite a long walk to the nearest restaurant/bar/cafe.

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. the property is very peaceful , very quiet.

There is no food on site - 10 min walk to the nearest coffee shop/ restaurants.

Beautiful room!! very spacious and comfy bed. Loved the body wash they offer as well. Nice view of Sunrise. Had small private access to the lake. Love the nature surrounding the property. Clara & Jhovany were very helpful :)

They don't offer breakfast. No help was given on check out with the luggage. There was a receptionist but he didn't help and there is no lift and difficult access with luggage. Night receptionist does not understand English so a bit problem to communicate.

Exceptional

We loved our stay here, our unit was beautiful and perfect for what we needed. The water access is lovely - at times we had the dock to ourself and the swimming is spectacular. The hosts were very helpful and responded to our every request.

It's a 5 minute drive from the centre of Bacalar - it makes it difficult for meals but we didn't mind this as we had a rental car.

The road to access the hotel is unpaved. But this is an insignificant detail. No signage on the main road... Makes it tricky the first time you're trying to find the hotel.

Private jungle bungalow only a few steps to the relaxing deck on the lagoon.

The property was private and set in a gorgeous part of the city. The back deck on the lagoon was perfect for relaxation.

The property was very hard to find. There are few road signs and Boa Boa had no sign out front at all. The road getting there was dirt, rocky and bumpy. We stopped multiple times to ask locals where it was. Everyone was friendly. Once we found it, it was beautiful but just stressful trying to locate a property with no sign.

Very disappointed. Not good value for money. Do not recommend.

We loved the fact that the hotel had direct access to the lagoon. The team is welcoming

There is no service (bar, restaurant, food). There is no road to the hotel: just a rocky path The room is very rustic/basic, Robinson Crusoe style. We had the full experience with spiders and their nets in our hair and clothes. The bed sheets were green and not white like in any other hotel. This is a red flag for us as it is more difficult to judge if they are clean or not. They lend you Kayak at a fee (other hotels offered it for free).

Extraordinary

Amazing private (shared with other guests) garden and dock at the lake. We watched the sunrise there and took a morning swim. The room was really nice and stylish decorated, with a view on the Lagoon. Shower worked well!

If you don't have a car, it's quite far from the center of Bacalar, where all the nice restaurants and bars are. For this reason we only stayed one night at Boa Boa where we ordered pizza, and 3 other nights at a different hotel closer to the center. Because the dock is quite popular with all of the guests, and there are only 6 beds, you might have to wait your turn.

Lovely place and the whole concept, but there is a but...

The area with bungalows is very beautiful. Private pier is also very lovely. Communication is pretty good and staff are available probably all the time via whatsapp. Interior of the bungalow is cute and has some nice touches - in general the whole idea about being close to the nature is awesome.

The short road to the hotel from the main road is terrible (it is not hotel issue, but it was painful driving it every single time). The bungalow that we stayed in could have some re-freshing (window nets looked dirty, doors with mosquito net are hardly closing, one wooden plank on the terrace floor is broken, light stripe in the toilet is broken and only short part of it is working, bottom part of the mirror frame almost falling). We missed kayaking at sunrise due to staff forgetting to bring kayak at the right time (to be fair, they returned the money and offered kayak for another day for free, but we already had other plans). There was some bad smell close to toilet/shower area (again, staff reacted to our complains and cleaned some clogs or dirt there). Boa Boa itself is a very calm area, but hotel nearby had some parties and music till quite late. All these things would probably be totally acceptable if not the price that one has to pay for a stay here, which puts quite high expectations for a troubleless stay.

Location is awesome, and their lagoon deck is really great to just chill and enjoy the view, or even get on a kayak and paddle away. They're very friendly and answer any request very quickly

Magical stay in a little cabana overlooking the lake

One of my favorite spots on my trip. Beautiful room with a peekaboo view of the lake. Nicely appointed with water and coffee in the room. Loved sitting out on the dock at night. Very friendly reception. We absolutely loved it and wish we could have stayed longer.

We a a little crack in our wall where lizards/ bugs could get in but it wasn’t a big deal at all.
