About this house rental
Can Fave is a truly unique property. A private secluded oasis in the middle of the historic and picturesque village of Fornalutx. The house is a renovated 300 century old house converted into a charming cottage style home with many bedrooms and bathrooms. Stunning mountain views, private pool, outdoor kitchen with a grill and sink and a large garden with fruit trees shading the lush lawns.
There is free parking next to the property, approximately 100 meters to the tennis court, shops (including pharmacies), bars and restaurants. 10 minutes drive to the Mediterranean Sea and the beach in Puerto Soller. Beautiful walking trails that begin outside the door. Can Fave is a favorite year round!

A beautiful kitchen/dining/living room with 2 large ceiling fans, a wood chimney and direct access to the main entrance, the outdoor kitchen and the garden. Fully equipped with fire place, stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, Nespresso, toaster, water boiler etc.
Garden and lounge terraces:
On the upper terrace you find a private swimming pool, 4×8 meter. Either you take the stairs from the lower terrace or use the direct access from the master bedroom.
On the ground terrace you will find the Garden House among the lemon and fig trees. There is an outdoor kitchen with a grill, a sink and a large kitchen counter for cooking under the open sky! There is also a nice outside dining area with romantic lighting for late dinners.

Alexis grandmother moved from Stockholm, Sweden to Mallorca and the village of Fornalutx in 1955. Back then it had no electricity and there where no roads for cars. Every summer since Alexis was 3 years old (thats 1976) he spent 3 month visiting her. He more or less grow up in the narrow alleys of Fornalutx together with his sister, cousins and Majorcan friends. The beautiful surroundings, all nice people that lives in the village, the nearby beaches in Puerto Soller, the unprecedented mountain walks and the fabulous food at the local restaurants. It's easy to get addicted to it!

The house was perfect for our group, beautifully spread out so we had our own space.
The view from the house is amazing and the house is really well equipped with everything you need.
Alexis the owner was so helpful and resolved an issue we had so promptly, he was very generous and attentive.
I would definitely return to this lovely house which felt like home from home.
Right near places to eat and a small but well stocked supermarket.
So many walks to explore, you can walk to Soller too.
Highly recommend staying here.

We have stayed in Fornalutx several times. This was 3rd time with large family group. Ca'n Fave had ample space and outside areas. By far the best propoerty. BBQ area was great. All bedrooms comfortable. But Pool area was simply the best. Property very secluded and private. Location to village square an easy 5min walk. Then trips to Soller and the Port were also amazing.

We can give our absolute best reviews of our stay in this unique town house. We had high expectations which was exceeded by far. Very nice pool on first floor, and big terrace with out-door kitchen on main floor. As the whole town, the house is very charming, and very well maintained and a very good-taste in design inside. We felt at ease and relaxed from the start, and enjoyed our stay.

Our stay was truly idyllic. From start to finish, Alexis was in contact and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The property holds its traditional beauty whilst having all the luxuries you need. The home is beautifully decorated and the outdoor kitchen overlooking the mountains is stunning. There is ample free parking around and a local car park with a very small fee.
The town has everything you need and we loved our meal at Molon, where Neil served outstanding food and made our night really special. There are a couple of local bakeries, a super market and other restaurants so plenty of options. I would suggest booking early if you’re going in peak season.
The apartment was in a perfect location to explore other local areas including Deia, Soller and Valldemossa all accessible within 30 minutes maximum (only 10 mins to Soller). We hired a car however everywhere is accessible by an hourly bus.
Absolutely recommend this place and will definitely be looking to return!

We had a one-week stay in this lovely, well-equipped villa with a good-sized pool and garden. We never tired of the stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Only a 5-minute walk into the beautiful village of Fornalutx, which had a great choice of restaurants and a couple of bars in the main square. Thank you Alexis for being such a great host and for all the helpful info you gave us before and during our trip.

Homely and well equipped house in beautiful surrounding. Great pool but probably not suitable for very young children as it soon becomes deep which is great for adults and older children who are proficient swimmers.

We could hear some sheep baa-ing in the darkness. When we awoke, the daylight revealed the most spectacular and magical setting! We couldn’t love this property any more! The home is beautiful, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean, the landscaped yard and pool are stunning, the location can not be better for access to the village shops and restaurants. An easy walk to the center of town, the home is quiet though very much a part of the village. The views from the pool terrace are really spectacular and I couldn’t have imagined any other location in town to beat this one. Fornalutx is beauty around every corner, a jewel box that we we thrilled to discover. We now dream of retiring there. Beautiful beaches are within easy reach, as is Soller only only minutes away. We found that we loved just being in the yard and only left for meals in town and a day on the coast. Alexis was available, friendly, and helpful. I can’t wait to return.

Lovely house and great location. We were under the impression that the house was in the countryside and secluded but it was a townhouse in a cozy town in the mountains. The house across the street was under construction and very loud, to no fault of the landlord. But it would have been nice to know.

Set minutes from the centre of Fornalutx, the house is laid out beautifully, with lots of space to relax, swim or enjoy dinner with the family. The views from the pool terrace are stunning. The property owner was always available for questions and recommendations in the local area.

Lovely house and great location. We were under the impression that the house was in the countryside and secluded but it was a townhouse in a cozy town in the mountains. We, a three generation family ranging from one to 74, loved our stay at Can Fave. The house is charming and well equipped, and the garden with its mountain views is a wonderful place to relax. We enjoyed the short walk to the bakery every morning and the many beautiful hikes in the area. Alexis was an attentive host. Would love to return some time.

Can Fave is the prefect setting for a family holiday. Well stocked house and tastefully decorated, comfortable and homely. The pool was a godsend and the garden a perfect place to relax with a beer at the end of the day. Fornalutx has everything. A well stocked supermarket,bakery, fantastic restaurants and gorgeous streets to wander. All in all a wonderful holiday spent in such a pretty house.
It does get hot in the garden room so would be nice if aircon could eventually be fitted here :-) and plan a day out on the day the gardener visits as he’s there the entire morning from 7.30am! Other than that, we couldn’t fault it.

Fornaluxt is so charming, surrounded by the mountains, such beautiful views! The narrow streets and the little town square, were so nice. The house exceeded our expectations. I thought it maybe would be to small for our big family, but no problem at all. The design of the house is smart and has it´s own warmness and charm. It felt so good. Lovely Home in a Magical Setting
Can Fave was a magical setting for our April holiday. Each day we opened our shutters to magnificent views of the Tramantana mountain peaks and drew in the fragrance of orange blossoms which permeated the valley. The house was in a perfect location for a short walk into town for buying groceries, exploring the narrow streets, frequenting the bakery (perhaps a bit too often), going out to dinner or just relaxing in the placa and people watching. We took several longer hiking paths directly from the house into the hills and down to Soller (loved this town). We used the bus stop just up the street for further adventures. We had a car but ended up not using it because we were able to walk or use public transport everywhere. Besides, driving was a bit difficult due to windy narrow roads and an abundance of bicycle traffic. The house had everything we needed and more (including fresh oranges in the garden). Alexis was very attentive and responded quickly to the few questions that came up during our stay. We had a wonderful time at Can Fave and carry home many sweet memories. Note: I fell in love with the Nespresso coffee maker and milk frother. Best coffee ever from a machine!

Amazing house and holiday
The house is as beautiful and well designed and maintained as the photos. The view from the garden and the pool is breathtaking. The garden has orange trees, lime trees and fig trees (which we helped ourselves to as the fruit was falling off the branches....I hope that was okay Alexis?).
The village of Fornalutx is lovely and friendly with some great restaurants and bars and a small (but well stocked supermarket) and a bakery where you can order Ensaïmadas.
We were in Mallorca during the heatwave in Europe but the house remained cool and the kids loved the swimming pool. There are plenty of walks around the village and the only thing that stopped us exploring more was the heat.
Thanks to Alexis for making us feel so welcome. It is a very special house. We hope to come back for another visit soon and do some longer walks in the mountains.

One of the best finds ever!
We were lucky to find such a great place in a fantastic location. You do need to know how to drive though, if you have rented a car and plan to explore on your own. Probably not a big deal if you are use to European driving, but much more challenging (and fun) than American roads!

Excellent holiday property and location
We had a great holiday in Can Fave. It's a charming property with a pool that gets lots of sun. The village of Fornalutx is beautiful and full of character. We came mainly for the walking and were not disappointed - fantastic range of mountain, valley and coastal walks nearby.

What a lovely place, we had a fabulous holiday!
They say there is no place like home, but we have found it! I will always remember the scent of orange blossom as we first discovered the garden. The pool has provided hours of entertainment and the friendliness of the village of Fornalutx, simply enhances the property. Can Fave is a great base for hiking. To be recommended is the fairly easy stroll up the Barranc de Biniaraix to Cases de l'Ofre from where you have a great view over Palma bay. A paradise in Mallorca
We had a fantastic holiday staying in the most wonderful location. Canfave is an oasis of paradise and tranquillity with beautiful views, a lovely pool and in walking distance of one of the best restaurants, we have eaten in in Majorca. The hosts have spent a lot of time in making the villa as comfortable and beautiful inside and just throwing open the shutters each morning was something we always looked forward to. I can recommend this with 5 stars and will definitely be back.
