About this house rental
Perfect for two couples, a family of 4, or a quiet, romantic getaway for two. This 3-level townhouse features an open living area with wood stove, cathedral ceilings with fans, a fully-equipped kitchen, LCD HDTV with cable, wireless internet access, blu-ray/DVD/CD players, gas grill, washer/dryer and a variety of movies, books, and games.
The upstairs bedroom has a queen-size bed and the downstairs bedroom has a king-sized bed which can be converted to two extra-long twin beds upon request. TVs in both bedrooms.
All bedding, towels, and basic paper goods are provided.
Your stay also includes membership in the Village Swim and Tennis Club at the Village of Loon Family Resort, offering two outdoor pools, two indoor pools, four Jacuzzis (one outdoors), sauna, exercise and game room, tennis courts. Plus winter shuttle bus service to mountain.

We loved our stay at this beautiful condo. Owners really thought of everything. Well equipped kitchen, good instructions on how to use things and a wealth of information on the area. Owners were in contact a lot to make sure we had directions, got settled in and had any questions.

We have stayed in numerous VRBO’s etc and this was by far one of the best. Everything you needed was in the condo and it’s just a perfect setup in every way for 2 couples or two singles with 2 very private bedroom spaces.

This condo was exactly as described. Everything was clean, well-stocked, and the owners left all the information about the area that we could ever need. They even checked in to make sure all was well. My family had a wonderful time. It truly felt like a home away from home. Outstanding Stay
This was our first opportunity to ":get out and away" since March. This property is one of the nicest we've stayed in and was perfect for a fall get away to enjoy the colors. All the amenities were superb and we loved the wood stove. Keren's recommendations for dining options were spot on, and all communications with her were prompt. This is a great place for one or two couples or a family, and we will be back!

A bit of relaxation in uncertain times
We have been staying at the Whaleback in for years. We love how relaxing and well appointed it is. It truly feels like our home away from home. This year we felt very lucky that travel between our two states was allowed and we were able to have a short vacation there. Nice to have some normalcy amidst all this turmoil!

This is our second time staying at this property. It is impeccably clean , very cozy and the owners are wonderfully accommodating. I cannot say enough good things about this lovely place. This was our fourth time staying at this property and we have loved every minute of it. The space is immaculately clean, comfortable, and includes all the necessities. The location is great for exploring the white mountains. Neighbors are quiet and the view from the porch is beautiful. We will definitely be back!

Truly Fantastic
We recently stayed at this condo and it was absolutely amazing. It is in a perfect location centrally located in the White Mountains whether you are there to hike or ski. The kitchen is fully stocked with wonderful pots, pans, etc. so you can easily make lovely meals and stay in for the evening. The deck was very nice in the evening to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather. We especially enjoyed watching the hummingbirds in the morning and evening out the living room windows. The beds were very comfortable and the bedrooms and baths were separated to give privacy to each area, for two couples it is perfect. The place is very well taken care of, neat and tidy. We will definitely be back again someday. Thank you for sharing your place with us, we loved it!!!

Beautiful condo in the mountains!
This was my third stay at the Whaleback Inn, and it was just as lovely as the first! It's in a perfect location, and Keren is always so wonderful and accommodating. The Whaleback Inn is a comfortable, gorgeous place, and Keren has really thought of everything! We even made breakfast tacos in the kitchen this time, and all we had to get were the ingredients -- everything else was there! Our weekend was flawless! Wonderful time! Loved every minute of our stay!
We decided to go on the spur of the moment so hadn't packed everything we normally would- no need! The owners had everything you could ever want! It was just like home from the moment you walked in. Comfortable, well stocked, would rent again
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our time at the condo. We have rented several vacation homes around the US and this by far was the most well stocked and welcoming. We enjoyed the movies, wine, and hummingbirds. Owners were responsive to emails and even mailed an item to us we accidentally left behind. Condo was in a great location, close to attractions.

Easy, convenient, and cozy!
My husband and I rented this sweet condo for our wedding weekend! What a cozy place! It was absolutely perfect for us in terms of space! The upstairs loft bedroom was really comfortable and even had a full bath. There was enough space up there to comfortably sleep 2 people. The main floor, which does not have a bathroom, had plenty of space provided for a small living room, dining area and kitchen. You could probably even sleep 2 people on the couch as they were quite long and comfortable. We loved the open floor concept and the outdoor porch. The basement had a full bath and king bed, and although I could imagine this could get quite cold in the winter, there is a great heater in the hallway that quickly warms up the condo. The owners did a fantastic job decorating this rustic place and supplied enough amenities to make you feel right at home! They even had champagne and chocolates waiting for us! As well, they have plenty of oils , spices, coffee and tea. If we were to return to this area, we would definitely rent this again! Keren (owner) was super easy and flexible to work with, which made the entire experience enjoyable!

This is a hidden treasure. The owners are amazing, nice, and thoughtful people. The condo feels like a million bucks, but is affordable for all budgets.

Beautiful home with great character and comfort
I would definitely return to The Whaleback Inn! Everything you need/could potentially need has been thought of by Keren and Greg. The views of Loon Mountain from the deck are incredible, I am so happy to have discovered this place! Some of our favorite things about The Whaleback Inn: the beds were so comfortable, great games and movies to choose from, and a very detailed welcome book that answered every question you can think of! Perfect Mountain Retreat
This home is perfect for a couple or a family who wants to get away and be surrounded by mountains and nature. We only stayed 2 nights and wish we could've stayed longer. The autumn foliage of the birch trees was wonderful and we felt like we were in a tree house. The fire place was great too and the kitchen had everything we needed. Thank you- we hope to return one day!

We came here for a last-minute Labor Day getaway. We were so impressed with the place; it was extremely comfortable and felt like home, except much more relaxing. The owner anticipated every possible need. Lincoln is a great town for family vacations. We will definitely be back!

This was our first real family vacation, and I spent many hours looking, reading reviews and contacting different owner regarding their units. After a few very friendly emails, a multitude of wonderful reviews and price comparisons, we chose Keren and Greg's Whaleback Inn. Upon arrival we were all giddy....walking through and taking it all in. We first went to the local Price Chopper to grocery shop ( with the savings card that was on the fridge ), and spent our first night "home" cooking, and enjoying the large movie collection, and playing a few games that were in the hutch.
the kids really enjoyed the walkie talkies! The beds were very comfortable, and anything you could ever need.....is there somewhere, from walking sticks for hiking, maps and brochures for local activities, an iPod dock, a gas grill on the deck, flashlights in every room, currrent DVDs, music CDs, interesting books, and every cooking utensil you could need, even a fresh stick of butter and half and half in the fridge upon arrival! We were all so excited at the prospect of seeing a moose, spent many hours up and down the Kancamangus highway, ( we did see a black bear at dawn ) and no moose, on our last day there, I found a little sticky note while going through restaurant brochures, it had a few different destinations hand written on it, one of which had (moose), written just like that, so after dinner we took a ride following the easy directions on the note, and low and behold, within the first 5 miles, we saw a Bull Moose! the kids were beside themselves with excitement. We got some great pictures and videos, none of which would've been possible without the note!
We are already looking at our calendar to plan our next trip there.

I read all the reviews of the Whaleback Inn before deciding to take my husband here for a surprise getaway for his 50th birthday, and they were all true! It is a beautiful and relaxing place to spend time. It is lovingly decorated and is super comfortable. All the details are thought of for you. I knew I was planning to cook spaghetti the first night, and Keren gave me directions to the nearby grocery store so I could pick up some food, but there was so much available to me in the condo already! Red pepper flakes, olive oil, coffee, sugar and half & half, just to name a few! Everything was easy and remarkably pleasant. It really is nice to look thru the video library and find a whole bunch of new and very recent movies that I had yet to watch. We will recommend this place to our family & friends, and we would also love to come back and stay longer! Thank you so much for helping to make Larry's birthday weekend a real treat!

We spent several summer holidays in different houses in France, Italy, Germany, Norway and Spain, but this place was by far the coziest and best equipped we ever had. It's true that Five-Star-hotels can learn a lot from Keren and Greg! It's especially thougthful that they left notes that helped to explore the benefits of the house and the area.
Being a person with allergy problems it was so good to note that they provided products which were not only environmentally friendly, but also healthy.
Thanks a lot for the wine & candy, the DVDs, books, soaps, ....... I could go on!
Too bad that the place is so far away from where we live, otherwise we would come back soon and often.
After returning home we recommended this place to our friends in Germany and the US.

Thank you for providing a perfect and welcoming property for our first trip to the White Mountains. My husband and I enjoyed the spacious Whaleback Inn and really appreciated the vast amount of amenities, décor and cleanliness throughout. You really thought of every detail from kitchen tools to books, games and movies to make our stay relaxing, fun and comfortable. We enjoyed dinner at Common Man, breakfast at Flapjacks, and attractions – Clarks Trading Post, scenic drives, Alpine Adventures --- and we especially enjoyed watching over a dozen hummingbirds at the Whaleback Inn – the sound and view was breathtaking. I would highly recommend the Whaleback Inn and we look forward to coming back!

This was our third visit to Keren and Greg's N.H. town home. Each time our visits get better as we feel more comfortable and know how to make the most of our stay! The outdoor hot-tub at the clubhouse on a cold and snowy November evening was fabulous! We got to soak in the hot bubbling water, chat and watch shooting stars during a cold, but clear night!
The town home has every amenity! The wood burning stove added such a great touch to our stay as the evenings were particularly cold during Thanksgiving week. The stove gave off enough heat that we barely needed to use the home heating system.
This town home offers one the feel of staying in a family member's home, rather than a typical generic rental unit feel. In any season, cold or warm weather, you will not be disappointed after a stay in the Whaleback Inn!

We had a wonderful week at the Whaleback Inn. The condo is very clean and has everything you could need. We made some hikes along the Kangamus and over to Loon Mnt. where we climbed along the river rocks (and got wet) went to the Loon adventure the zip line is wild and the girls loved the rock walls and bungie. The outdoor pools at the resort are on the cold side (the temps went into the 50's at night) but refreshing in the hot sun. Thanks again for a great week

We just spent four days here and loved it. The pictures don't do it justice - it is beautiful, clean, peaceful. (This is kind of silly, but the condo smells lovely and clean as well!)
We read a lot of the reviews before we decided to rent the condo and they are all spot on. We can't wait to come back in the future!

My sister and I just enjoyed the Whaleback Inn as a getaway/to do some wordsmithing. I can't say enough about how nice it was. Decorated beautifully and outfitted smartly, it was so well-designed that sitting on the main level you could believe you were alone in the Loon Valley, gazing at the mountain (alone except for the trio of hummingbirds, constantly gracing the feeders!).
The proprietors have thought of everything, from the DVD collection to the extra virgin olive oil. In the refrigerator we found a "welcome" package of chocolates. On the counter was a "welcome" bottle of wine. The whole experience thus got off on the right foot, and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
Both of us hope to be back, together and with our families, as the peace and beauty of our stay did us some powerful good.

This home was truly amazing! WE stayed there for leaf-peepon weekend and the views from the living room deck were beautiful. The home itsself was extremely cozy! We can't say enough about our stay at the Whaleback Inn. We (a couple in our late thirties with a 4 year old and newborn) have stayed at a few different condos at the Village of loon and this one by far was the warmest and most welcoming. The owners treat this very much like an Inn with lots of amenities that made our stay feel so comfortable and easy. From the wine and chocolates, to the different coffees to wake up to, to all the games and movies that our daughter just loved, and many more details this condo had so much more than we expected. Most other units really are just a place to sleep with a kitchen and bedrooms...the owners here surely take pride in their home and go out of their way to ensure their guests feel at home too.
The condo itself is so nicely appointed with lots of sunlight and just enough living space for our family. Before renting the owner pointed out that the two bedrooms are separated by the main level living space which could pose a problem with younger children feeling far from parents and I could see that. Was not a problem with us but I was glad she noted that prior. There is also a small deck with a great view of the mountain with a few hummingbird feeders...the amount of hummingbirds was amazing to watch. My husband could have sat there and watched all weekend. The only negative (which really wasn't a big deal) was that there is no air conditioning and we were there on a very hot and muggy weekend. Luckily we were not there during the day and it really cooled off at night for comfortable sleeping. Loved the wifi which made it easy for checking out restaurant menus.
The location itself is great as there is lots to do in and around Lincoln. Our trip (which was extremely hot and muggy so lots of swimming)...Day 1- hanging by the pools and dinner at the Woodstock Inn & Brewery (always a must for us on our trips to Loon) Day 2 - Storyland - about a 40 minute drive north and a beautiful trip along the Kancamagus Highway Day 3 - Gondola to the top of Loon/exploring caves and the swimming in the river, then takeout from Gordi's Steakhouse Day 4 - Great river swimming spot across from the Woodstock Inn (perfect with kids...river in front of Loon not so much)
The owners were extremely pleasant to deal with and very responsive (I think my security deposit was back the day we left and emails were always answered very quickly). We highly recommend and hope to go back ourselves.

We were incredibly lucky that there was an opening for this lovely spot the week after Labor Day. It was an opportunity for my husband and I to take our 4 month old son on our first family vacation. One thing that nobody mentioned is that with a lovely kitchen we had the advantage of buying groceries and cooking rather than eating out for every meal. We used the customer advantage card the owners left for us to use at the local grocery store and saved $20 on food for the week!
It's thoughtful touches like the grocery card, leaving a prepaid phone card with which to call the owners in an emergency, and the variety of local attraction brochures that set this vacation rental above all others. I really have to thank the owners for enabling us to have a dream vacation with a new baby.
We highly recommend The Common Man Restaurant for a special dinner, and couldn't have had a more lovely time visiting all of the spots within the Franconia Notch State Park.

My family spent a week at this charming, well appointed condo. and just loved it! Keren was terrific to work with. The condo. contains every possible amenity you could think of and more! There were so many lovely and thoughtful touches, like the list of phone numbers, the supermarket savings card and the cute soaps and shampoos. And we really enjoyed your DVD collection for the evenings! The unit was clean and very comfortable for our family. It was also so helpful to have all the brochures and notebook with local activities in it.
The facilities at the Village of Loon were perfect for us. There are 4 pools in all, tennis, basketball and loads of indoor entertainment like foosball and a pool table. These activities were a nice suppliment to our trip!
The location is just wonderful! There is so much to do, all within a close drive! We particularly loved the hikes and going biking. The White Mountains are just gorgeous! We highly recommned this condo. on Loon for a fabulous summer vacation!
