Great location, could be much better with a bit of TLC.
The property is in a great location and is relatively new with a good boot room and ski in, ski pout facility.
Although new and the 2 bedroom apartment was a reasonable size it was not particularly clean and was quite noisy ( we did tell the staff about the noise and they put up signage to encourage people to be quiet) where we were located of the third floor which is the main entrance to all the apartments. The pool spa area was also quite small overall and i do not think it was particularly good value when compared to other similar accommodation we have stayed in.

Good location and amenities but living area far too small for price paid
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The bedrooms were a good size and the beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were also a good size and the jacuzzi bath a nice extra. The Montana area has everything you need very close by, ski hire, shops restaurants whilst only being a 10 minute walk to the top area of the resort.
The kitchen/living area is extremely small and would have been completely impractical for four adults (luckily we were just two), especially for the price we paid compared to a similar price paid last year in Avoriaz. Nowhere to drain washed pots, tiny sink, one frying pan and no lidded pots that can go in the oven. The lounge area is far too small to sit four adults comfortably and the settee wasn’t comfortable unless you got the corner section.

Overall - a lovely ski holiday in a bigger / better standard of apartment than we have booked previously, though sti
Very spacious apartment (for VT) and well equipped too. Comfortable made-up beds - with towels and bed linen provided. Great ski in and out. Nice to have some spa facilities available. Nice to be able to book bakery breakfast delivery to the door.
I think the room was still v expensive for the standard of accommodation. Expected something a little more “plush”. The interior decor was a little shabby (eg torn sofa cushion covers). The pool was also a little too cold and the jacuzzi area wasn’t working.

Probably reasonable value for Val Thorens. Just make sure you ask for a non-smoking apartment.
The property is in a good location and seems to have been refurbed recently so is pretty good compared to some. The beds were actually really comfy and there was a handy little dishwasher/cleaning kit provided - which was really helpful.
It hadn’t been cleaned properly - there was scum all around the shower tray - and the whole apartment stank of stale cigarette smoke. When we asked them to clean again they did send somebody (though there was no apology). I suspect the cleaners smoked more than they cleaned. The cigarette smell was worse after they’d been and the apartment still wasn’t properly clean. The spa/pool area wasn’t great. The pool was way too cold - yet not really big enough to swim in. The ‘hot tub’ was inside the pool so also cold.

Disappointing
Me and my friend along with half a dozen other guests had our lockers broken into and all our equipment stolen! Hotel simply told us to go to the police station where we wasted an afternoon to be told to return the next morning. All in all we lost a days snowboarding. Hotel didn’t even contact us to see if we had resolved the issue or to offer an apology. I tried reaching out to the hotel when I returned to the UK but have had no response. An utter shamble! Furious with the customer service!

Very nice stay in a great residence !
The location, the quietness, the facilities, spa area were great ! Very cozy & clean place. Direct access to ski, convenient. Very welcoming front desk
We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely residence. The only room for improvement would be the following: The apartment did not have the view on the mountain facing the sun all day long, but was the same price as another similar apartment in the residence that was facing the sun all day long. And we could not know in advance which apartment would be assigned to us. I would suggest the rental company to enable clients to pick the type of apartment they’d like, and adjust the price depending on the exposure to sun/ view, etc .. Thank you
