About this villa rental

A superb residence, situated in south facing 2,000 mtr garden on the perimeter of the picturesque old village of Mougins. Five spacious bedrooms with two master suites with terraces overlooking the sea from Cannes to Mandelieu and the rolling countryside.
Entrance hall leads into a Provencal living room with fireplace and sofas. French windows give onto the south facing sunset dining terrce, stepping down to the terraced lawn with heated pool featuring swim jet, and furnished with Dedon yin-yang and rotunda lovebeds. Lower terrace garden features illuminated petanque play area with outdoor chalet/bar.
The west covered terrace features a Mayan hammock section with cocktail bar and refrigerated drinks area.
The covered terraces are heated for all year round dining "alfresco" and the property features fully integrated Sonos indoor/outdoor music system and home cinema connected to major streaming channels.
The property has two kitchens one interior and one exterior both of bespoke design and three dining areas. The interior kitchen is fully equipped with Le Canche range cooker, fitted cupboards and quality fittings and appliances and a breakfast bar open to the indoor dining table and chairs for 10. This dining area opens through double doors to the terrace and illuminated garden.
Continuing outside is a Moroccan themed lounge area with stone chimney and log effect gas fire, electric heating from overhead and under-floor, and equipped with outdoor home movie/TV screen.
A further outdoor kitchen and dining area, heated above and underfloor with roll down screens capable of seating 14 guests in mid-winter or summer in a beautiful outdoor and comfortable environment. The outdoor kitchen is equipped to professional standards with fully integrated barbeque grill, deep fat fryer, steam oven, refrigeration etc. To the rear is a further clean up area with fully equipped laundry and guest bathroom/pool changing room.
The garden also features a wooden chalet/bar overlooking the illuminated petanque pitch.
There are four bedrooms all on the upper level, two with emperor size beds and two rooms with adaptable double or twin configuration. The magnificent master bedroom having a sea view over Cannes, is ensuite to its principle bathroom with bathrub and walk in rainshower, and three bedrooms share a futher bathroom with shower.
The ground floor features an additional bedroom with optional king or twin bed configuration and ensuite bathroom with shower and wc.
Bedrooms are peaceful, tastefully decorated and well furnished with quality mattresses and bed linen. The upper bedrooms are all fully air-conditioned and have garden or sea views. Two upper terraces both with tiled roof feature relaxation areas. The ground floor bedroom ensuite features a natural airflow which in the summer evenings is almost always from an alpine direction bringing a gentle flow of cool and fresh air.
The property is set within a beautiful garden laid out on wide terraces and planted with mature palm trees, olives and flowering Mediterranean shrubs, as well as a fresh vegetable patch to the rear.
The 4 x 9 meter pool is heated at 30 degrees year round, with torrent jet, shallow and deep end the perimeter of which includes a sun lounging area lined with loungers and parasols. An electric safety cover provides security for families with young children.
The property is accessed along a small country lane with electronic gates with driveway adjacent to the olive grove and fruit orchard with parking area providing secure, on-site parking for at least 4 cars.
The picturesque old village of Mougins and the shopping areas are both a short walk (15 minutes). The beachfront at Cannes Mandelieu is a 7km distance15 minute drive.
Housekeeper and chef/catering & houskeeeping staff can be provided as an optional extra.
Further options extras associated with the property include, marine toys snorkeling kits , 11 meter motor cruiser for day or evening sail/cruise, both with skipper. Also a six seat private jet airplane with crew is available either for arrival/departure travel throughout Europe or to make day excursions to St Tropez, Corsica, Sardinia or Rome perfectly feasible from this exceptional and idyllic holiday home.

The hosts were very hospital, courteous and accommodating. The place is fabulously decorated with lovely touches all over the place, and corners to keep everyone entertained. Lovely outdoor kitchen, outdoor bar, swimming pool, and last but not least pétanque court! Highly recommended gem!

We were greeted by the villa's wonderful owners on arrival with Champagne and oysters and knew we had definitely booked the right place! The location of the villa is fantastic within easy reach of Nice airport (less than 30 mins), Cannes and Mougins old village only a few minutes by car. The villa is immaculate inside and out; the outdoor living areas are spectacular and make the villa fabulous for entertaining. My husband particularly liked the outdoor professional kitchen! We had 2 very young children with us and the villa worked perfectly with air conditioned bedrooms, a heated pool with security cover, garden and plenty of space. We would thoroughly recommend this villa to anyone and hope to travel back ourselves.

We were the first guests to stay in Villa Mia and how lucky we were. Nine of us stayed for two weeks in this large but very homely house in Mougins. It is an absolutely beautiful clean house and very tastefully decorated. It is incredibly well equipped and we lacked for nothing. The upstairs bedrooms are air conditioned which was very welcome as the sun shone down for the whole two weeks. Two of the bedrooms open out on to a balcony with a view of the gardens but also further to the sea in Cannes. Downstairs we made good use of the kitchen which was very well equipped but did not use the lounge or dining area as the weather was so good that we made use of the amazing outside space of the property. There is a large dining table on a covered terrace which overlooks the pool and pretty garden where we always ate and played board games. We absolutely loved the outside Moroccan themed comfortable seating area just to sit and chat but particularly to watch films in the evening on the large pull down cinema screen. The swimming pool was warm and pristine clean in which we spent many fun and happy hours. Further along the terrace are other seating areas and it is very difficult to know where to actually sit as each area is very inviting and comfortable. When we did tear ourselves away from the villa its location is very close to the A8 and therefore access to Cannes, Nice, Antibes and other destinations on the Cote d' Azur is very easy. Places we loved were Old Antibes, Nice and St Honorat Island. The fireworks in Cannes is a must. We found driving to and parking easy in all these places. The owners of Villa Mia, Linda and Stephen were very friendly, helpful and and on hand and we felt very privileged to stay in their beautiful home. Thank you very much, we would love to return.
