Great little get away, nice and quiet despite being on a road. Plenty of local walks nearby

I liked how friendly the owners were, the fact that you were able to come and go as you please and the fact that they gave you a card for the golf club (we didn’t go but it was a great touch!)

A more powerful shower and perhaps more modern furnishing but that’s nit picking in all honesty.

Great stay.

Quiet little village location, clean tidy rooms, plenty of space, privacy and a good bath. Bed really comfy. Breakfast available and really tasty. Staff super responsive and helpful.

We stopped her for a break on the way to Cornwall. It was the perfect stopover for us. I would definitely return.

Lovely room in a lovely setting. A good breakfast.

You could hear some noise from the room next door.

A pleasant and relaxing stop over.

The Golden Fleece is perfectly situated in a quiet village as an overnight stop en route to Cornwall from the South East. Easy parking, large room, comfortable bed, and a choice of local dining for dinner. Good selection of freshly prepared breakfasts can be served in your room if required. Attentive, warm hosts.

Loved this place ! Location was superb for visiting somerset ! Great having the paddock to walk dog in morning and last thing at night Breakfast was lovely and having it at your door each morning was a brilliant idea ! Loved the table and chairs outside our door Carol very helpful

Lovely location set in country side. We were in cottage no 1 which was surrounded by beautiful garden. Good breakfast and ample parking. Easy to locate and constant updates by email with Carol and her daughter . Only downside was no where to walk as on a busy road (if thats what your looking for )but Carol was open about that.

It suited us as was just an overnight stay.

Didn’t like the on line check in and out,as it didn’t feel very welcoming.The same with the breakfast ordering on line.

I enjoyed the friendliness and helpfulness of the Owners yet leaving me alone to enjoy being quiet during a very stressful time. Breakfast was plentiful and a good choice on the Menu. Full-size bathroom and comfortable Stay.

Nice place to stay on the edge of a small village and useful for researching the area.

Breakfast - Nice variety and big enough portions. Nice to have room service and option to eat outside in the private patio area. Owner very friendly. Quiet location and did not hear the road noise in the room. Paddock big enough for dogs to use.

Very tight entrance to the location. Could do with a road mirror on opposite side of entrance as busy road when trying to get out as almost on a bend. Pricing for pets to be on the website would be appreciated. Was told cost after I had booked and got confirmation of booking from accommodation.Some rooms only have roof windows and can be a little warm in the summer. Portable fan in room ok to cool down room at times.

The exit from the guesthouse onto a main road with no visibility, until the car is well into the road. A mirror opposite would be a great help.

great breakfasts and comfortable beds. parking near the door of our room, adequate storage, table and chairs as well as chair by desk. Communicating door to disabled cousin's room was helpful.
