Peaceful retreat close to the city

This was our second time staying at this property and I'm sure it won't be our last. Very close to the city but feels far away and peaceful. Our family enjoys going for walks and bird watching. The house has everything you could need and is very comfortable!

The stairs are very steep! We did know this as it was our second time there but my youngest was rushing and fell from the top. She came home with some bruises. Can be avoided if you just tell little ones to come down on their bums.

The Perfect Place

We came to attend a funeral 😥 and we were so happy to find the perfect spot to stay with excellent location. The house was beautiful, comfy & cozy with everything we needed at our fingertips. Our host was friendly and helpful. The view of the bay was unbelievably gorgeous. We can not wait to visit again!

We liked everything! We did not like to say goodbye!

A fabulous home from home for our first family adventure.

The location was fantastic. The property had everything we needed and more to make our stay comfortable. The owners, Anna and Gulli, were extremely helpful and went the extra mile for us.

I loved the little touches for my children having kids bedding and the hosts being so responsive to a last minute switch in bed make ups. We wanted the kids to stay in the main loft with the adults in the loft, the change was made while we were at dinner. My children loved that there was Disney plus it gave them a little semblance of normalcy being away from home. They also could not get enough of the chickens! They loved watching them out the window and were so happy when the Neighboor was kind enough to let them feed them.

Great communication with hosts with quick response to our needs. Spacious with great amenities. Good location between capital and airport.

This would be ideal for a family. We were 3 friends traveling so the 2 who stayed upstairs had to deal with the stairs and lower ceilings in this area (didn't help that they are tall).

A very good place surrounded by birds, horses and the sea.

A very nice house with all you need. Great location: close to the capital by car but outside the city in a protected area with the a lot of different birds. Quiet and very clean. Helpful owners. A very good place.

Hard to find any problem. Just few minor issues. You need a PIN code to open the box that contains the key. Booking provides a PIN code to access the reservation and a second PIN code to open the box (code provided by mail on day of arrival). We tried to used the wrong one. We called the owner who came very quickly -few minutes- to help us and solve the issue swiftly. The jacuzzi in the garden was a little bit noisy but it did not last too long.

The best place to stay in Reykjavik

Amazing house in an amazing location! Just outside, but still very close to Reykjavik center. The house had all the amenities and more than we expected. The hot tub in the backyard was perfect for relaxing at the end of the day. Definitely coming back for to this amazing country and would love to stay at this place again! Highly recommended!

Great location, very quite and beautiful place, next no the city and with good accessibility. The house has everything you need, the kitchen is well equipped Netflix was a good surprise.

A house in a stunning location close to Reykjavik

It was a clear, sunny day as we arrived so we could see the see the sea and the mountains both ways. The hot tub outside had a great view. Kitchen was well equipped and the house felt roomy for 3. The owner was kind. Wi-Fi was great. We also enjoyed the picture books about Iceland. There are some games as well.

Wonderful stay!

We can't say enough good things about our stay. The location was very convenient for the capital region, yet peaceful and relaxing. The house is very nice, and the owners were very thoughtful and helpful. Highly recommend, would love to stay again when we return.

amazing property in a stunning location

we initially booked it for four people but our friends pulled out last minute. we were considering cancelling and booking a hotel and we were so glad we didn’t! The property is in an amazing location outside of Reykjavik, with stunning views around the property, offering peace and quiet. Also great spot for northern lights so you don’t have to drive around in the middle of the night. it’s all happening just outside the property! The facilities are great, there’s everything that you need being away from home. The owners are very nice and helpful. We stayed there over Xmas and they put decorations around the house to make it more Christmassy. Also being able to sit in a hot tub when it’s snowing was amazing. it’s also great for bird and seals watching. I really cannot recommend it enough!

Great location 20 mins from the city centre and out in the countryside very peaceful. Kids loved the trampoline

Beautiful place and enjoyed thermal tub. Loved the chandelier and decor and all the amenities and supplies. Plenty of room and very happy.

Key lock was a little fiddly and stubbed toe on step in hallway but my fault.

Winter break

Nice ocean view, lot of space, ready to use hot tub, all necessary multimedia available, everything what you need, close to shops ( Bonus, IKEA, Kronan), local swimming pool with hot water. We were happy to stay there.

100% RECOMMENDABLE

We enjoyed a lot the stay here. It is not so far from Reykjavik so, the best place to stay calm and disconnect a little bit. We used the outside hot tub and the kitchen was 100% equipped to cook. Perfect place!
