Stelvio Special

This place has character oozing from the walls. Don't expect flashy luxury but count on clean and basic functionality. What you'll most enjoy though, are the hysterical twins and their mother who run the place. The food in the restaurant was great and the bar is a hoot, mostly due to the wonderful ladies running the show. Beats TV, that's for sure.

There were some noisy ski school kids staying in the room opposite ours, but they seemed to tire out pretty quickly.

Exceptional

I loved the whole of it. It was like travelling back in time. It is (I believe) a family run hotel and it has all of it. The bar area (where I had my dinner) was so cosy and homly. The food I had was simple but absolutely delicious.

Difficult to say. I saw some reviews that were not that nice. I did not at all recognise any of these situations.

What a location! A fantastic place to stay in the mountains.

Fantastic location at the top of the pass at over 9,000 feet and within 5mins walk of the bottom of the cable car. Very Italian, little English spoken. Food local and interesting - good value. Plenty of free parking available. interesting walking from the hotel. saw a golden eagle during the visit. Skiing fraternity added a bit of buzz.

Italian power sockets need an adapter but this was provided by the hotel. Kettle provided in the room, but better tea / coffee supplies would have been welcome.

Very good

Good family run hotel right on top of Stelvio Pass, although it is quite old it is clean and cosy. I have traveled alone and spend a good time in front of fireplace at evening!

Very good place to stay on the Stelvio Pass

Fabulous location at the top of the Stelvio Pass. Ample car parking spaces outside. The room was quite small and although a little bit dated it was nicely furnished. Staff were very nice and the breakfast excellent. Lovely open fire in the bar area in the evening. Would definitely stay here again.

Nothing really, would recommend to others.

Rooms could be a bit more modern as the CRT TV, and the beds too.

Pleasant surprise for one night stop

Great hospitality , great location and good food at a reasonable price. The room was comfortable and clean and had a good view of the mountains. Staff were very helpfull.

Only had a one night stay and didn,t go prelared to ski.

Enjoyable stay

Lovely, if a little old fashioned, mountain top hotel, bar & restaurant. Made us feel welcome. Very nice meals in the restaurant Lovely bar to sit in on the evening. Secure motorcycle parking

The pillows were uncomfortably hard The supplied slippers were washed & bagged, but smelled musty (probably better to not have them)
