Overall the house was great. However, we did have a few hiccups while we were there. A, the toilet in the hallway bathroom was never useable (it would not flush), B, the AC went out while we were there and they could not get anyone to come fix it before we left, C, we found a baby bottle in the couch that smelled atrocious (we thought we had dropped food and we found that). The house was nice though and we enjoyed our stay for the most part.

Our stay was nice, you have to drive to the beach, the listing said the beach was 300 yards away, more like a mile. But there are plenty of free parking spots in early June. (Might be different in July or August). The regular coffee pot needs replaced, it doesn’t work well at all, we did use the Keurig. A could have the door shelve containers are cracked and need replaced. The leaves have not been removed and blow into the pool constantly. You would think the would have a vacuum for it. The inside is dated, but nice, we enjoyed the screened in porch. It is a nice neighborhood.

When I first walked into this house, I was shocked that the furniture was so 1960's. The kitchen had been remodeled, but some cabinet's laminate was coming off. It ended up being one of the most relaxing vacations we've have ever had. My son pointed out that the house and furniture were not so pristine that it made you uncomfortable. We loved the screened-in back porch and the pool. The property only had one neighbor, two snakes and occasional golfers looking for their lost balls in the woods behind the pool.

Checking in was easy and straight forward. Was given the wrong internet login and when called it was verified … still wrong. Had to speak to renternet to get correct login information and then internet was unavailable. Took a total of 6 phone calls to get it hooked up. Then sent someone in the middle of the day to fix, which kept us from enjoying the beach that day. It was a bit of a cluster. I would t have pursued it if I didn’t need to telework some.
Otherwise, the house is cute. The pool area is nice. If you stay here, make sure you bring extra towels, the shower door leaks a lot of water on the floor. We are big fans of OBX and kitty hawk area and will visit again but likely with different rental company in hopes that the details are more accurate.

The rental was perfect for our family the only thing is please get a new grill. The grill burners were completely corroded. We couldn't grill so we had to use the oven or a small charcoal grill to cook which doesn't help with a bigger family. The screen porch was great.will most likely rent this place again

The house was not as close to the beach advertised. A few things need to be updated like the grill, toaster and washing machine.The kitchen was well stock with dishes, pots, pans and utensils. The pool was really nice and there were beach chairs and sand toys to use. The house is very close to many shops and places to eat.

My only complaint was the company themselves. When checking in, the person helping me stopped to count on her hands how old I was. I'm 24 which is the house requirement. Contacted the office to complain about bunk beds which were very shaky. Kids didn't feel comfortable in them. Several days later someone came to attempt to fix. Grill had no gas. Grill was in horrible shape. A new one was delivered the day before we left

We enjoyed our stay at the green house, but I am sad to say I don't think we will rent this location again. While we understand cleaning staff is in short supply and its a rush to get one party out and another in, the overall cleaning job was a bit unsatisfactory. I would have much rather checked in the following morning, than to have stayed at the house in the condition it was in. The stall shower, while recently remodeled, was moldy (enough mold to just prove no cleaning had been done), the floor hadn't been cleaned in the bathroom(had to use a towel to clean up water that leaked out form under the shower door and it came up VERY brown and that was the first day we were there), there was a clump of hair in the fridge, not dog hair but long brown human hair (Makes me wonder if the same rag used to clean the bathroom was also used to wipe down the fridge) we did not use the grills (there were big chunks of food stuck to them), the morning we were leaving I found old coffee in the coffee pot (which we did not use). I understand these things are not at the fault of the owner and being someone who helps my mother in law clean our Air BnB properties I just expected more. The location was okay, it stated you could walk to the beach, you can, but its not as short of a distance as it states in the listing, the walk one way is 1.7 miles. that's a bit of a hike when you are pregnant and have a 2 year old in tow. The pool, while an awesome amenity, is mostly shaded for a large portion of the day, so the water temp was too cold (we also understand we came towards the end of the pool season, but even temps reaching the mid 90's it never warmed up). I do not like to leave negative reviews and I am really not trying to nit pick little things, but it just seemed as though the "enhanced cleaning procedures" weren't really followed? I sure hope we just happened to hit this location at the wrong time when things were a bit more rushed them usual.

While we knew it was an older, dated rental home, there are some things that seem unacceptable, including the combination of its maintenance and cleanliness issues: the whole house smelled musty; the bathrooms smelled & had mildew, especially in the main shower; one shower didn’t have the sweep, so the floor was flooded after every shower; the carpet was stained and looked unclean; there was inadequate lighting w/many non-functioning lights, light switches, & outlets; we found cockroaches (dead & alive) throughout the house, including the laundry room, which was so gross that we actually cleaned it ourselves so that we could do laundry. We had a great vacation. We picked this house for the pool. We usually rent homes walking distance to the ocean, but decided this year with COVID, staying closer to the house was a better option. So, we chose this house for its pool. The outdoor space is awesome. The pool is isolated off from the neighbors to make it our own little oasis. It has lights that kept the pool well lit for evening swimming with the kids. The interior is very dated. Think Brady Bunch at the beach with Cooper and orange beach decor. The mattresses sleep horrible. If the owners would invest in a bed in a box memory mattresses that can be placed on top of the existing boxsprings - it would help tremendously. As it was, we were all waking up moaning and groaning every morning with back aches. Otherwise, this is a good option. The washer and dryer is in the garage. We had to carry our wash through the front door to access the washer. There is a very narrow, twisting staircase but except for the kids - none of us felt safe maneuvering them esp. with your arms full of clothing!

The house was clean overall! The pool was a bit chilly. No heater available (even though it's Summer) would have been nice if the pool was in the sun for most of the day or even some of the day to heat it up. It only gets sun in the morning and thats it. Too many tree branches blocking sun. Quiet neighborhood. Friendly neighbors. It was a great trip with plenty to do even during the Covid nightmare! We did jet skiing, (first timers and it was awesome and scary for me anyway LOL).. dolphin tour was AMAZING at OBX Marina, we ate at several restaurants that were all pretty great with Henry's breakfast being our favorite!! We shopped at several small business shops to help support the owners during this time and they were all so friendly!! We did practice social distancing and mask wearing at every single place we went!! Would stay here again

2020 OBX Trip
This was our fifth consecutive annual OBX trip and each year we've been trying to stay in different parts of the islands. This was also our first time taking our dog with us. The house was perfect for our needs and we particularly liked having a private pool. We plan to stay in this home again next year if we can.

this was the perfect house for our needs.everything furnished and located in a location with privacy but within 5 minutes to beach activities and resturants and shopping.We loved the pool and the screened in porch overlooking the pool.The 2 car garage was a bonus also. we recommend this house to families with kids...did I mention it is pet friendly? we loved it!!
