The Porthole is a smart semi detached house 150 yards from the centre of the Devon riverside village of Newton Ferrers. The house sleeps six people in three bedrooms, a bunk room on the ground floor and a double with en suite bathroom and balcony and a twin with balcony on the first floor, plus a shower room. On the ground floor are a kitchen with breakfast area and a sitting room with wood burning stove, dining area and two pairs of French windows to the terrace. Outside is the terrace with furniture and barbecue, as well as the two balconies. Just a short stroll from the shops and riverside pubs, The Porthole is an excellent scenic base for a lovely Devon break.

Amenities: Central heating with wood burning stove. Microwave, fridge-freezer, tumble dryer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with DVD, WiFi, Phone, Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair available on request. Parking is usually available on a quiet road by the property. Enclosed garden with barbecue. Two well-behaved dogs welcome, Sorry no smoking. Pub less than 1 mile from property. Please note: There are 18 steep steps at the property (as seen on Helpful Holidays website).

Region: Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

A thoroughly enjoyable week with family. Comfortable, clean accommodations, beautiful views across the creek, in the serenity of a Devonshire village. All helped by sunny weather of course.
