Lively central old worldly pub with comfortable rooms

Very central, rooms of a good standard

We really enjoyed the pub in the evening but had a lack of sleep due to noise

Lovely quaint pub with fab atmosphere. Car park opposite right in centre of town

Unfortunately the windows are single glazed and loose fitting so lots of noise from outside and drafty.

Great location. Decor and facilities were good. Breakfast basket was spot on. The bar has Maisels Weißbier on tap. That took it over the top!

Would stay again. Fantastic location and welcoming

Welcoming, friendly helpful staff. Good spacious rooms. Superb choice of beers. Plenty of outdoor seating space with heaters.

Quality of the bathroom could be better. For a high usage/turnover of room need better quality finishing on shower and taps (tap wobbles and is a cheap light weight tap)and push button on toilet. These were very lightweight. Indeed when we arrived the flush button was not working and needed fixing. Probably need to upgrading otherwise will be needing constant change and inconvenience. But rooms decor was generally of a very good standard in comparison.

TLDR: in one word - superb! And we shall return :)

The staff were courteous, friendly, helpful, insightful and professional. They were all a credit to the Cardinal's Hat. The breakfast was excellent. The room was a delight, bathroom excellent. The pub and public lounge areas were fantastic and atmospheric. TLDR: in one word - superb!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room with fridge, good facilities, and strong fan (vital during a very hot June). Excellent breakfast. On a lovely little street with Tudor houses, cafes, and restaurants (but quiet at night). Would definitely stay again.

Seemed slightly understaffed at times but didn't cause me any real problems.

Helpful staff, character historic building in the heart of Worcester. Loved it

Fabulous location, a busy, and famous, wee pub but as hotel guests we were not disturbed by noise. Great continental breakfast delivered mysteriously to our door- such a lovely touch.

Really impressed with this hotel.We didn't have time to use the pub as out at a wedding all day but the front bar looked really cosy.Staff were super friendly and welcoming.Tilley room was a really good size and we loved the bed set into the recess.The bathroom was really clean and modern with a gorgeous bath and powerful shower.We chose to have the breakfast delivered to the room which was included in the price.A well stocked hamper of yoghurt,granola,milk,juice,pastries and fruit.Great location a 2 min walk to the long stay NCP for parking and shopping.For the price of the room this is a really god choice.

The breakfast was left in a basket outside the room The basket needed a good clean We left the breakfast as my wife’s bowl for her ceareal was not clean the knifes were unclean We left it on the bed and left It says on the web site park opposite in the ncp park and we will give you a reduction That’s not true

would not choose a room to the front again, noise from pub, street and traffic. shower over bath wasn't great... shower curtain warps itself around you when wet

Superb

Great location, style and freestanding bath in the room. Staff were lovely and the pub is great. Highly recommend.

Decor was a bit tired and there was an old blood stain on one of the bath towels. Mattress could be thicker.

We loved it, great value for money, brilliant stay!

Great place to stay for a night away. The room was cosy and comfy and stocked with everything we needed. The breakfast basket was amazing and so much better than we expected - great value for money! The bed was comfy and the shower was brilliant. Thanks for a great stay, we would definitely return!
