Il ritratto é um B&B perfeito, no sentido que reúne boa localização, conforto e serviço. As instalações são novas e o quarto é lindamente decorado. Fica, basicamente equidistante da estação de trem, do centro histórico e da orla (5 minutos para qualquer um deles). O caminho, tanto para a estação quanto para o centro histórico, tem um ótimo comércio, é movimentado e seguro. Cama e travesseiros confortáveis, ar-condicionado silencioso, ducha ótima! Mas o grande diferencial deste B&B é sem dúvida o host. Guido é, com certeza, alguém que gosta do que faz e o faz com maestria. Com suas sugestões, conseguimos aproveitar bem o tempo em Salerno e comer em lugares incríveis! Não é só gentil, mas um host disponível, que se esmera em ajudar. Acredito que em uma próxima viagem ao sul da Itália, faria Salerno meu ponto de apoio e, de lá, conheceria o resto da Campania. Sem a menor dúvida ficaria novamente no Il Ritratto:))

Un fantastico b&b nel cuore di Salerno, a 2 passi dalla stazione, dal centro storico, dal lungo mare e dalle attrazioni principali della città. La nostra camera era un vero gioiellino: spaziosa, pulita, luminosa e arredata con gusto, con un signor bagno dotato di un’ampia doccia e… di un vero asciugacapelli😛! La colazione è eccellente, abbondante e costituita da cibi di pasticceria locale freschi e squisitissimi. Guido, il proprietario, è una persona fantastica: si prende cura dei suoi ospiti a 360gradi, attento ad ogni bisogno e desiderio, inoltre, è stato un vero e proprio Cicerone e ci ha aperto un mondo su Salerno, nonostante non era la prima volta che la visitassimo. Ci ha fornito tante nozioni interessanti e dritte su come organizzare al meglio la nostra “gita”, consigliandoci cosa visitare, itinerari insoliti, ristoranti, pasticcerie etc. Non posso che stra-consigliarlo e ci tornerò sicuramente.

Struttura in pieno centro, con possibilità di prenotare anche il parcheggio ( consigliato) le camere sono veramente pulite e tenute maniacalmente, il proprietario ci ha accolto al nostro arrivo e ci ha spiegato e consigliato dove andare e cosa visitare.

Location was amazing right in center of Salerno. Our room was immaculate and very spacious. There was a lift to get our suitcases to first floor. Guido the host was like our personal tour guide to Salerno providing us with all the information we could ever need. We totally fell in love with Salerno from our stay here and will definitely be back

This apartment was the perfect base in Salerno for our trip to the Amalfi Coast. Guido, the host, was extremely helpful, giving us many tips and recommendations for our trip. The apartment was incredibly clean with a modern interior.

The B&B is located right in the centre of Salerno, close to the train station, the port and also the old town and pedestrian area with all the shops and restaurants. Parking is also available nearby, which was very important for us. They only have three rooms which are spacious and with modern walk-in showers. The host, Guido and his partner, are extremely welcoming and friendly. Guido provided us with lots of information about things to do, where to eat, what excursions to take on rainy days, and sunny days. He truly is a fount of knowledge about the whole area, and his website also full of hints and tips. We really enjoyed our stay at Il Ritratto and highly recommend it.

The breakfast was of a very high quality and Mr. Guido, our host, was so kind to propose us to blend two types of breakfast, one continental and one italian, which was very good for us! The location of B&B Il Ritratto is excellent, very close to the train station, the main shopping street and the city center. From the moment we checked in, Mr Guido, our host, provided us with information about Salerno and the surrounding area and competent and honest advice on how to spend our holiday!

Location 500 m from the train station and 1 km from attractions such as the Duomo, close to restaurants, it is in a strategic location, being able to walk carrying luggage and at the same time walking to the attractions. The bed&breakfast is located in a residential building. Big and comfortable room. The very attentive owner sets a continental breakfast to the guest's choice, thus being able to avoid the typical sweet Italian breakfast. It also provides detailed information about all attractions in and around the city.

Close to everything, fantastic base for a week. 8min walk from train station. 10min to ferry terminal. Host Guido was exceptional, really helpful and provided advice on how to see and experience the Amalfi coast line.

everything about this place is wonderful. I was made to feel like home. The rooms are big, with a big bathroom. The breakfast was delicious. The location of this place is wonderful, it is easy to walk from the train station and to the ferry. I will be staying here again.

Guido is just awesome - makes you really feel at home!
Very courteous contact before arriving, great explanation how to get to the B&B, great explanation of what to do, when and how. Even sends you links so you dont forget anything. i.e. Great recommendations in terms of locations, restaurants and travel. He is always there to help.
Room is just as awesome! Very big, super clean, quite, great bed, a very good rain shower and fast WIFI. Very good breakfast, good coffee and even provide you water bottels and some little snacks.
Day of check out you can leave your luggage in the B&B and pick it up later in the day by yourself.

Everything was perfect! The room was very clean and spacious. The host was amazing and really helpful - providing you tips for nice places and restaurants to visit. The location of the apartment was also very good - in the middle of city centre and close to the main train station. Absolutely recommended.

Guido´s facilities and his effort to provide everything we asked was above the line.
The place it´s PERFECTLY located at Salerno´s center, but without the noises of the main streets.
The apartment where rooms are located it´s big, and the rooms are very well equiped and giant as well. Mattress it´s one of the best that we have slept :)
Bathroom and cleanliness were all perfect too.
For last but not least, breakfeast was served at our preferred time, with treats of Salerno, made from a bakery.
Guido and his mom where perfect hosts, and if we have the opportunity, I have no doubt that we´ll come back.

Guido had tips for everything - what to see, when and how, how to move, where to eat, and everything was so helpful. Thanks to his tips we visited places we otherwise wouldn't have known about, had delicious food, were able to plan our days the best way and much more.
The B&B was amazing in its own. Spacious, clean rooms and the best breakfast we had on our stay in Italy.
Such a central location - easy access to ferries, trainstation and old town (less than 5 min), and thus easy to visit Capri, Amalfi coast, Pompeii and Naples, and enjoy the more chill (and affordable!) Salerno, which is great in itself.
If you stay in Amalfi coast - I definitely recommend you to stay here! And if you are staying in Salerno, there's no other place you should even consider.

Definitely lived up to the high ratings. Guido was so so helpful on so many levels: helping us arrange parking in a private garage 1 min walk from the B&B, communication was smooth & fast, gave us super helpful suggestions on where to go and what to do so that we could make the most of our short time in Salerno. The B&B is centrally located, within easy walking distance of many sites. The room was clean and spacious with a balcony, exactly as the photos indicated. One of the best places we stayed on our trip through Italy.
