Endroit paisible

Bonne emplacement, la nature autour, le jardin, la fontaine, l’eau.

Mon époux et moi avons partagé la même cabine pour s’habiller car le vestiaire homme sentait les urines.

Da vista que abraça o espaço em si, excelente localização bastante atrativo pois a natureza assim o apraz. O staff é bastante agradável, mas poucos para a afluência de trabalho.

Da acessibilidade do espaço, sinto que não está boa para cadeira de rodas/carrinhos bebê. Da qualidade do serviço restaurante é péssima, deviam.apostar pois perante o valor cobrado, não teria necessidade de ir ao restaurante ao lado. As termas/piscina interior devia estar acessível sem valor aos clientes do espaço. Penso estar demasiado degradado na parte da sinalização sobre onde fica a recepção 24h, piscina exterior não há qualquer pessoa para retirar o chapéu quando cai na mesma. No serviço de limpeza dos quartos tive dois dias dos 6 que lá dormi que não foi realizada. Acho que o hotel está bem ok mas acho que está "abandonado" na parte qualidade do produto em si.

Upea ympäristö joka mahdollistaa vaelluksen todella hienossa luonnossa. Sijainti mahdollistaa läheisen Portimoan uskomattomat rannat ja myös Monchiquen vuoristoisen kylä milijöön. Upeat ruot. Hotellin historiallinen ympäristö 1600 luvulta. Spa palvelut. Hieno paikka romantiikalle rakkaan kanssa! Hotellin ikä aiheutti myös vuodenajan kylmien päivien takia haittaa. Kylpyamme pelasti paljon! Erityis kiitos henkilökunnalle.

Huhti-toukokuukisi sattui muutama kylmä päivä ja hotellin lämmitys mahdollisuus oli luonnollisesti vaikeaa.

Fantastic escape off season

Beautiful complex of new and older renovated buildings. Our room were in a new structure overlooking the pool and terraced hillside. Very comfortable and dog friendly. The spa was amazing. I spent an hour in the pool with the Monchique water.

Some construction going on off season was a bit loud at times.

Cadre exceptionnel et excellentes prestations

La localisation en dehors de la ville au calme, l'environnement avec des arbres centenaires, la piscine dans un superbe cadre. La chambre était très bien, le buffet du petit déjeuner copieux et avec beaucoup de choix.

Decent enough but could be a lot better!

It’s a nice enough place to stay and it’s clear they’ve turned to revamp it a bit. It’s quite rustic and that has a certain charm. The pool is fairly small but perfect for cooling off. Food was decent enough.

Huge amounts of ants in my room and although it was relatively clean and tidy it could do with a good bit of work. The spa is pretty grim, it looks like an eastern block hostel from the outside and again just not like the rest of the hotel blocks.

Very good

Location, pool and it had a nice luxury feel to it. Quite and relaxing and the grounds were lovely.

With in the immediate vicinity there was no other restaurants and bars within walkable distance. The hotel bar closed at 6pm. At lunch time the restaurant had no other beer other than stout, and although the food we had was good quality the service from the kitchen was very slow and it wasn't busy.

Such a beautiful setting

Firstly, the location is beautiful and the cluster of buildings/rooms around the squares gorgeous. The pool area is also lovely. The hotel has an amazing, cool, shared living area next to an open reception area. Reception staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, comfortable and relatively spacious but short on sockets. An easy chair in our room would have been nice. Breakfasts were great but we didn’t have dinner in the hotel. There is a bar in the square which sadly closed at 6pm that served great coffee, drinks and lunch style meals, plus a hotel close by that did simple dishes for dinner

A restful and good stay

This is a delightful place to stay, very relaxed, very quiet. Staff particularly helpful and interesting, we just loved it and would have stayed on longer if it had not been full for the next few days.

Just one thing was that we found it difficult to find, we went well past it at first and had to come back. I should have phoned them earlier as after a couple of calls they got us on the right track. Perfect English with receptionist and lots of the staff

Pleasant

Rooms in Garden building are big and quite. Garden around and buildings are nice looking even if facade refurbishment should be scheduled. Breakfast is more than decent for what people generally need. The main building has a nice living rooms with billiard and games. There is also a bar but there was no barman (!) so impossible to get a cocktail or something similar.

I staid 3 weeks in a row in this hotel. The first and the third week I got a comfortable room in a remote house called Garden: nothing to report except that, since there is no heating system in hotels in this region, and the temperature in the morning near 0° during all my stay, I had to use the A/C in heat mode and the regulation is very poor: either too hot or too cold and impossible to warm up the floor. The 2nd week, I got an independent room call Garden 1 and it was a disaster: on arrival the room was cold as a cave and the A/C ventilation half defective: it took me hours to warm up the room and impossible to warm up the bathroom remaining cold. Later I took a shower and after few minutes, because the water is not evacuated to the exhaust (no slope), I got 3 cm of water on the floor, all the bathroom flooded to the carpet of the bed room. Later, I noted that the desk got detached from the wall and ready to fall down so I did not use it as I wished. I asked the staff to fix these problems and they promised to do it but nothing happened, which behavior I really don't like. Conclusion: stay away from the G1 room. I don't care that we are in the winter with less staff available, customers need to be respected. Also, the Garden building is quite far from the main building where the restaurant / breakfast room is located and in the winter it is not very convenient when it is cold, windy and wet. Last warning: the shower floor is made of marble and is super slippery when wet: I felt down once and was happy not broken a bond. Marble everywhere in the bathroom is nice looking but please not on the shower floor, the provided mini plastic carpet being useless. There is room service for Garden building when I asked for.

Very old rooms that smell strongly of mold and wall fungus.

Great location. Calm and quiet.

Hotel rooms are very old. Although they are clean, the walls are filled with mold and quite old wall paper. Every room smelled very strongly of wall mold and fungus, and one of the rooms smelled of sewage. The mold in the rooms should be taken more seriously because it's quite dangerous for human health, specially for people with respiratory conditions such as allergies and asthma. (Which is quite ironic taken into account that the hotel is located in a thermal region with the intention of improving people's health...). For this reason I would not recommend this rooms for people with respiratory problems. Bathrooms are also quite old and have mold (even though they are clean).
